Episode 2 was kinda slow, but we got a pretty cool opener so I guess you can't complain. We get a little background on Ma-chan this ep, and I can't wait to get the full story on her recruitment. Lol, she has quite a handful for a senior partner.
Yuma was looking kinda plain after her pretty badass intro in the first ep. I mean, damn, it looked like she could start something with you at anytime. I wonder if she's Type E enough to don the conveniently form fitting powersuits.
Bit of reference to the last episode of Code E, and establishes a bit on the foundation Chinami and co. are up against.

at what point during summer school in Code E was that last picture taken?
The data collected on that day has resurfaced and I guess this is what is driving their actions. The potential for Type E's seem to be great enough for them to make them. Same shifty looking dude pulling the strings.

Also, my question stands about the purpose and fate of the Brinburg twins.

Lol at how easily they managed to fit in the school. You'd figure at a private institution, somebody in the student body would notice a couple of new faces. Even bigger lol at how the organization they work for never seems to get reprimanded for their wanton disregard in the use of force and the destruction of property. If they were under some sort of law enforcement division, they'd have some short bald dude behind a desk rail on them tarnishing the division's rep, complain about having to cover up for them, and warn them that the next time might be their last. This may also be an indication that I need to lay off on the buddy-cop shows, but I digress. I guess it's good they've got Sonomi as a boss.

Maori is just what you expect her to be: not very social and a little rough around the edges. I find her to be very adorable, though. Dunno.
Chinami is still just as self-sufficient as ever. Bit of a gag character with the "adult trying to have fun" thing, but I guess if you had to pair Ma-chan up with somebody, it has to be the loose type.
Keiko is now at teacher at the ol' school and is well liked by the students. No surprise since her cheery personality hasn't changed.
I can't quite get used to Sonomi's new look yet. It just... doesn't work for me.

Indeed, it was bad. The catchy OP was misleading - I was expecting an at least decent ROD copypasta, but instead got a bad, actionless high school romance.

I have to disagree myself. I liked the show. I thought the lack of action, despite the OP was a good thing. It turned the show into more of a slice-of-life genre show which I enjoy rather then giving action for the sake of action. To be honest, after watching the OP, my immediate thought was that it was similar to ROD, which sucked ass. Great idea implemented with pathetic nonsensical cartoonish villains. I'm really hoping that Mission E doesn't veer too closely towards ROD. It looks good so far but the more and stronger the villains, the worse the show tends to be.

On another note, I too am wondering about the fate of the twins from Code E. One of the reasons I liked them, was that they seemed to be there just to add humor as well as a hint of drama.

Eh, to each their own. I liked the cartoony villains - they were just as believable as super paper powers. My only qualm about ROD was it was trying to be EVERY GENRE IN EXISTENCE (conflict between content vs. style I guess). Kurata, you screwed up there.

I was particularly surprised by the twins when they were first introduced, partially because I thought they were a goofy ADULT pair, as opposed to being students around the same age. They put the fun in the show, and I wonder where they'll stand in this series.

Another good episode. And interesting too, because it seems that animals (I guess they still have to be female) can be Type-E too... Just what is Type-E...
It was a pretty good twist that the bat was the one (though kind of obvious after a bit).
And what's more, the enemy is leveling up!
There was also some really random comedy, like that father and son's reaction to the soldiers or the soldier going "bird" at the bat.

That girl from the last part of the OP (where Kumasawa, Maori's family is) also makes an appearance. What was her name...? Togakushi?
I wonder who the last person (after Kotarou) is...?

Although it was already pretty obvious, it's getting clearer on what happened in Maori's past, with her talking about not taking the bat away and how animals don't betray.

The new guy (sunglasses man)... Seems he knows Chinami and has a scar. And considering the often references to that village, the flashback of his probably took place during that incident in Code-E, yes?
But the most confusing thing is... the credits list Adol (the twin brother) in this episode... The thing is, where in this episode did he get to speak, right? What if... this new character is Adol...?

It seems that CODE-EX is supposed to be 2 years after CODE-E.
I haven't bought it yet (planning too) though, so this is just information I've found before.

Also might as well use this post to point out, but there is a novel out for CODE-E too, titled "CODE-E ~Harukanaru Sasayaki~".

It is seperate from the actual series, focusing on a TYPE-E girl, 澪 (Mio?), who can read people's thoughts through electric currents in people, and how she fears touching people like her lover and childhood friend.

In any case, the fate of the twins is pretty clear - Adol is an antagonist and I'm guessing the darkened silhouette in the OP is probably Mils.
Chinami = teh Hei, though it seems Adol's crew is a little more resilient to the likes of the Type E pair. I'm guessing they'll eventually figure out a way to fully counter/emulate Type E status.

Eh, kinda lost its touch with this episode. Not very exciting but contained an important revelation.
Also, great scott, keeping some bat as a pet. Those things can be rampant with disease.

Another good episode. The various peaceful parts are occasionally boring, but it manages to keep my attention, and the parts where the Foundation take action tend to be rather exciting.
It really is a shame this anime doesn't get more attention. I guess CODE-E was too boring for some... or maybe it's because of the song-less OP?

And the last "enemy" in the OP part with Hiiragi and Adol is revealed. His name seems to be "Kiriku".
By the way, this isn't from my experience, but it seems that Kiriku was an enemy in the manga (CODE-EX)... Now I really want the manga.
From what this episode shows, this guy is bad news... One of the scarier parts of this episode was when he came out and used a shotgun to try and kill Maori and Kotarou...

Also, the bad guy from the last season who always makes phone calls and stuff behind his desk finally has his name revealed (and in the credits too). Hiiragi...

And to top things off on the Foundation side, at the end, there is a shot of Adol's sister... in a coma, I guess...
I guess that after his sister fell into a coma (reason highly likely to be TYPE-E), Adol became like "that"...

On the good guy side...

Kotarou finally makes an appearance. As always, he's a science freak, but he's a lot more sensitive to others now...
It was funny when he forced Maori to get licked by a cow to activate her powers.

We see a dream of Maori's... but it is everything I expected, yes. Everyone distancing from her because of her powers.

Chinami sure is slow... Took her a while to realize Maori was talking about sex.

Preview: Oh~, doesn't Maori look cheerful~, and more traveling and finding TYPE-Es.

Well, I guess I'm in the minority here for really liking CODE-E. I thought the characters were interesting, the power unusual, and the laid back approach actually appropriate. I really liked the first episode of Mission-E mainly to see Chinami kicking ass and taking names. I hope oom keeps up with it because they did a great job on the subbing.

Recently, it seems Chinami and Maori have done nothing but travel... I also question what effects these two episodes will have in the future, because I couldn't really find one this episode.

There was also quite a lot of comedy this episode, from Maori's interaction with Chinami to the locker room.
And Osaka is amazing~ With all of those hidden panels.

As expected, everything seems to be a trap? The acting from Adol and co. seemed pretty real though...
Maori gets captured.

In the meantime, Chinami's father finally makes an apperance.

And of little importance so far, that girl at school and Maori get to know each other... a bit more. Friendship starting with dogs, huh.

Though this was her first appearance in that suit.

Just an episode on retrieving the captured Maori.

It was already obvious that the guy was Adol, so it wasn't a surprise to me... Though it was for Chinami. I'm surprised she figured it out so quickly...

...Hmm... So Akane is in Foundation, but at the same time, she is planning something of her own... It seems?
And the episode touches on the whole "Oz isn't all that different from the Foundation" thing, which was kind of obvious from the start. Betrayal flag for Maori? I don't think so, but... the chance isn't 0.

Ah, the ED went back to the white version.

Half-way through the series. It's going well, and looking forward to future development.

Not a very eventful episode, but the story moved on...
The whole episode has Maori thinking about the things Akane said last episode, and as expected, she quits Oz.
Up to this point, everything was expected...

Then, Adol, back to his old hair color (hair-dye? or whatever it's called?), appears in an almost different personality and treats Maori to a drink, and they run off together laughing... Yes, LAUGHING...
And I started laughing too... at how embarrassing and utterly weird that scene was...
I guess this means Adol still has part of his old self left or something...

And on the other side, Kiriku and co. are planning something... unknown...

It's a shame that what the hacker brought was destroyed... Wonder what was on it for Foundation to be so desperate...

It seems that even though she got married and her husband seems to be madly in love with her, she is not really in love with the guy as we see her reaction during the first episode. As we know she was being preasured to do marriage interviews by her father. She still has feelings for Kotoro but as we saw in the first season she had to give up on them so Kotaro could be happy.
