They have a good Live. Its not as disturbing as the actual recording for the ED probably due to the voice not being heard as deep in tone. Looking forward to hearing their actual CD.

Kalafina's lives are always worth a listen,just like any Kajiura Yuki production (under her name,fictionjunction,see saw...) ,it feels different from the album version but just as good.

And while listening to the album version I was sure it was Keiko who handled the really low parts,looks like I was wrong.

Personally I would wait for the official lyrics to be out, it's just a bit over a week wait. I will do a little unofficial translation for now though below, so thanks for sharing.

OP is indeed in Madoka's perpective, while ED is in Homura's. The 2nd part of ED lyrics are full of very interesting lines, such as:

T_T the lyrics touched me to bits. i almost teared up. reading it,i can so much feel homura's pain and loneliness *sob* she cares so much for madoka or her younger self (if the homura-is-future-madoka-theory is true)

Mai-HiME didn't have a good ending. That Battle Royale With Cheese final episode was just Mai's imagination. The Festival completed, Mai (or rather, just her body) became bride of the Obsidian Lord. The world is saved from destruction.

... Not.

Due to the clusterfcuk that was The Festival, Mai's consciousness really wished that the world come to an end. The new world isn't stable, and it's going to crash and burn, real soon. A new maiden need to be chosen, soon. The Powers That Be (who are clearly arseholes) decided to repeat the whole darn thing in Mitakihara, this time they sent QB instead of Nagi.

This time, The Festival worked relatively well. The Maidens (Magical Girls) didn't realize that they were being pitted against each others until it's too late. Madoka came out the victor, but she had no desire to become the bride of Obsidian Lord, since she's a lesbian and loves Homura. So she killed herself, after she transferred most of her power to Homura. And that's one of the reason we see so many suicide attempts in this iteration of the world. Because even the Barrier Maiden wanted to kill herself.

(In that iteration of the world, Homura was Madoka's cat (was a stray cat) that she turned into human to become her lover so that she wasn't alone without anyone she can trust in the war.)

The world was, surely enough, destroyed. The Powers That Be were pissed, and decided to reboot the whole thing, literally. As for Madoka, she believed that Homura will carry her power (which is about as massive as Mai-HiME's Mashiro) and destroy the whole Festival system in the next iteration, which is now.

Homura is distressed that this iteration's Madoka have no recollection of the previous iteration, including that of her. What's more frustrating, this world's Madoka is innocent, after all those treacheries she did to won the Festival... after Madoka tasked her with this improbable scheme. This also explain her (unhealthy) obsession with Madoka. It's one part mad love, one part seething anger, 9001 parts despair.

Homura = flame, Kagutsuchi = god of flame.

One of the things that bothered me with ClariS is that there's always a great song, an average song, and a terrible song in thier singles. You might call this the average song. It doesn't hurt my ears, but it doesn't appeal much either. Unlike the previous B/C-Sides of ClariS though, I think this will grow on me...somehow.

3. Kimi no Futari
Well it's not terrible than I thought, it's appeal life will most probably be short on this one. Nothing interesting much. But still an improvement. Try playing the songs on the irony single and this single and you'll see the difference.
Well it's not a terrible song, but certainly I don't like this song much...

I have to agree with you that Dreamin' was average, much like Neo Moon of the Irony CD was average, but I did notable prefer Dreamin' .

But I can't agree with your comments on Kimi no Futari as it's probably my favorite song from ClariS aside from Connect/Irony[obivously the best two currently ] beating Kokoro no Inryoku slightly for that spot. So my opinion would be that Claris ussually tends to have two great songs and one average .

Music-wise this anime is just superb, for OP and ED, I can't really decide as they have it's own strong point, Ending was unique, but Opening is just awesome.

OST is also really well done.

It's like a 5-day wait, I would suggest waiting till then since there are a few uncertainties in the lyrics. I will do a formal translation too after that, the one posted above sounds very much like something from an online translation tool.
