Man that was a lot better than expected, but then again my expectations were super low considering this is Gonzo. Animation CG work was actually top notch, and the backgrounds were beautiful.
Sadly, Erina Reika was the one who caught my attention. Hearing Taneda doing the ojou-sama bitch laugh was a long time coming, and her betting the most petty of things managed to crack a chuckle from me. Sadly, judging from the promo materials she isn't a heroine... but she should be! XD As for the actual heroines... Misaki and Masaya are on a no-honorific first name basis, and Asuka was shown in a flashback 10 years ago with a certain item that looks important? One of them has got to be childhood friends with Masaya right?

Ep 01
One of my two most anticipated series of the season here, and after the first ep I was pleased. I felt it was stable, solid, enjoyable, and did a fine job introducing the cgaracters, setting and the catalyst for the story about to unfold. Especially appreciated the use of background art and background music. Asuka is a bundle of energy to say the least! Committing to the series....

I tried to give it a try, but the MC was too much to handle, I stopped after 5 minutes. honestly I had zero expectations from this (mostly due to some reminiscence with Koichoco), but even if the first impression was good the hyper active girl alone killed the mood instantly.

ep1
So this is basically Air Gear: Flying Edition.
That said unlike Air Gear, this is clearly a character driven show, so how you like the characters (particularity the female lead) will determine how much your going to stick with this. Especially where this one might be the most hyperactive scatterbrained character this season. Asuka is the MC so chances of a harem forming is probably zero. meh first ep and already a "oh no i'm about to loose in 5sec lets have a flashback that gimme the power to throw a win" (well a win is not really what i'd call that )
girls are cute, art is great, i was worried about sport tag and already dislike that part... someone familiar with source material can tell me if the sport part is prominent and if its always that bad ? |

So flying in a short skirt, how does that work?!?
Laughed a bit when Asuka's command to her shoes was "Fly!" and little wings appeared. Will she have a stuff animal named Kero? First episode seemed too much paint by numbers. Will give it a couple of more episodes to see if becomes more original. |

I WANT to like this show, but as someone else said, it's character-driven. And with Asuka as the main character... I don't know. She's just a bit too much for me. Most of the characters were just a bit too much for me, actually. (With the exception of the guy, strangely. Maybe everyone else is just so obnoxiously generic and/or annoying that it made him stand out as being tolerable by comparison? Idk.)
Maybe I'll give it another episode or two out of sheer curiosity/boredom.
