Then again, while it somewhat hilarious, it tells how top alchemist 'meta' is using homunculus with memory implanted as 'bunshin'.
That means Fuga with tattered clothes who gave Gotchard Driver isn't the real Fuga, especially with how he can hold Sisters and Geryon with help from X-Chemies in Houtarou flashback.

People speculated both Lv. 10 Gaiard and Dragonalos will be used for Rinne final form, now it seems likely with Fuga using Cosmic Lv. 9 (Black Hole) and Fantastic Lv. 1 (Bahamut).

100 Chemies collected. So what coming next, aside of Platinum Gotchard, will be lore.
Considering Daybreak only knew of 100 Chemies as well before his world obliterated, I'm guessing #101 Chemy is Ouroboros.

Chemy No.101 was already leaked a while ago, it's the rainbow themed dragon which will grant Gotchard's final power up.

Also, Chinese leaker Color809 has been implying that Kamen Rider Legend will play a major role in the latter half of the series. Apparently there will also be a new group of villains consisting of a male and female duo who came from an alternate world.

Gate of Darkness opened.

Geryon ambition is to turn everything into gold.
Looks ridiculous but, if you look back to Hasegawa been using wordplay of forbidden technique (kinjutsu) with gold (kin), also gold is ultimate goal of alchemy IRL;
What Geryon meant here is absolute domination, to paint world in his color. Hopefully some subs out there notice this because going literal with making everything gold will be weird.

Geryon transform into Dread Type-2 using Steamliner + Daioni.
Renge and Sabimaru do their best to ensure Clotho and Atropos not supporting Geryon.

Love-hate relationship with seasonal movie continues.
After Majade, Platinum Gotchard is made by X-Wizard channeling Lv. 10 Chemies power to create CrossHopper, similar to Star Combination.
Those not going to theater won't understand why X-Wizard and X-Chemies other than UFO, Rex, Gaiard and Dragonalos already befriended Hotaro.

I like that it left impression Iron Gotchard is poor man's work, now fixed by someone who know the job better (X-Wizard).
From writing standpoint, this is the way to obtain upgrade without mastering ancient alchemy without Fuga in five minutes, still using power of friendship too.



Geryon transform into Dread Type-3 using Steamliner + Unicorn + Daioni
Platinum Gotchard appear with Iron Gotchard cast-off; purged Liner rearrange on its body.

Geryon defeated and get eaten by three-eyes demon inside the gate.
Lachesis now siding with Minato, Kyouka and Spanner (senior faction); Clotho still following Atropos who said its not over yet, taking Geryon's gold rubiks now looks like a beating heart. No next episode preview and it difficult to say it doesn't felt rushed, as if saying "Toys arc finally over, only one upgrade left and we still have 22 episodes left."

Feels like a blast to have Katsuyuki Konishi (Gotchard Driver), Misato Fukuen (Hopper), Nobuyuki Hiyama (Steamliner), Rie Takahashi (X-Wizard) and Ryotaro Okiayu (Dread Driver) in one episode.

Spoiler for Producer Letter for Episode 27:

- Next episode will be directed by Ultraman Blazar director
- Gold is something with eternal value, so Geryon transforming world into gold means he wanted world that stagnate yet with absolute value.
- Monster inside the gate of Ouroboros is called Trismegistus, it is the one fighting the first, original Gotchard in scripture and Rinne storybook.
- X-Chemies and Gotchard Driver are the main component to open the gate, thus Geryon have no issue using the rest of Chemies as MOTW.
- Don't expect Hopper-1 will talk again.

With Geryon seemingly out of the picture, I wonder what's next for Lachesis.

While she did turn on Geryon by helping out Kyoka and Minato, she's only doing it for her own survival, with that smile at the end implying that she's up to no good. On the other hand, she's probably still being branded as a traitor by her sisters (especially Atropos).

I think that will be direction we're heading to since this series theme is "Find your Gotcha!"
One might as well said this episode is clash between Houtarou's Gotcha! and Geryon's Gotcha!

Now Geryon died, what to do?
Houtarou have no ties with Geryon so he can keep training alchemy with Chemies; Fuga whereabouts still unknown so Rinne can keep going as well.
This episode have Minato find his own "Gotcha!" that is to protect his students journey to maturity. Renge and Sabimaru are on similar boat, as senpai instead of teacher.

How about Spanner since his quest for revenge technically ends here? Can he finally take things easy like Kyouka suggested.
Lachesis is not so different, now she's a traitor also her source of insecurity pretty much gone. Clearly they're in need to find their own Gotcha!



Look at it again, I guess whatever behind the gate already foreshadowed by Daybreak flashback.
Instead of world envisioned by Geryon, its a mass destruction without Geryon presence (unlike, example, Sougo met Oma Zi-O, confirmed what Geiz and Woz said are true).
Then again that beating rubiks raise question, did Geryon do his homework (rubiks is his real body) or simply abuse power from his rubiks (rubiks is body part of Trismegistus).

Platinum Gotchard looks great, it could have very well been a final form. Best suit in the series so far. I did like Iron Gotchard too when he didn't have the stupid train arms on. The actual debut of the form was not very impressive though.

Very much doubt Geryon is dead, Atropos herself said it's not over and she's his loyal servant.

Whatever Lachesis chooses to do, I hope she keeps her outfit. It's just so sexy. If she can find one even better though, then by all means...

Breather episodes from ghost story to detective story.
The staffs made post about how it become more difficult to have a fun, quirky episode in KR lately; rare to have breather episodes like this.
I guess KR really have that pressure to be serious, everything connected, compare to sentai, despite existence of Den-O and Riku Sanjo works.

Geats VCin is out. Good lord it's so good. It wasn't perfect, and the story beats are extremely predictable, but it's still very well done.

Except Bujin Sword jobbing, but Tycoon's almost always the butt monkey anyway.

Gotchard Episode 30

Spin-off Daybreak timeline announced.
Legend appears on CM, Toei really tried their best to ensure all side-materials canon.

We fast forward now Houtarou is third year, with Rinne and Kajiki ended up on same class with him.
Rinne jealous of female transfer student who also Houtarou childhood friend, doesn't help that Renge and Sabimaru instinctively consider Tsukumo as better version of Rinne. Meanwhile Lachesis tried to convince Spanner to let Clotho join them.

Donbrothers cameo.

Dread become more taxing with more component;
Clotho not even lasted for five minutes using Type Three unlike Geryon, allowing Valvarad to defeat her.
Lachesis suspected Atropos is unlike them she wished Clotho ignores Geryon as well; true that, Atropos considered Geryon to be her most important.

Atropos gaslighting Rinne made me wonders if she and Geryon actually not evil counterpart of Rinne and Fuga but Rinne and Houtarou.

They were pointing out how much more assertive she was, plus a word play. It had nothing to do with being "superior" or "inferior".

And Lachesis just didn't want her sister to die. Had nothing to do with trying to get her to join.

A nice little Rinne focused episode:

- Looks like next week will be the true beginning of the 2nd half of the series, as we'll have a new villain which according to the production note is called Dark King Gigist.

- Poor Supana got the short end of the stick. At least he got a new sidekick in Lachesis, even though he's understandably still very distrustful of the former villain.

- Speaking of Lachesis, looks like Clotho will be the next to defect to the side of good next week.

Wonder how long until Legend shows up again. He's being promoted like hell, so it's odd that there's only likely 17 episodes left, and no sign of him next week from the preview.

She'll be harder to win over but I expect Atropos will eventually join the good guys too. Not to mention I doubt KR would kill a kid, even if she's a villain.
