The light novel, Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria (The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar) is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Plot Summary:

Some urban legends are best left untested! Yuuto Suou gets more than he bargained for when he joins his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya in testing out an urban legend. When he uses his phone to take a picture of himself with the local shrine's divine mirror, he is whisked off into another world—one heavily steeped in the lore of the old Norse myths.

Using his knowledge gained from school and from his solar-powered smartphone, he has the chance to bring the Wolf Clan, the same people who cared for him, to prominence, all while earning the adoration of a group of magic-wielding warrior maidens known as the Einherjar.

Well it could be good. At least they are trying to explain why his phone will work during this series. Though really in the first action scene it'd be more believable if he just dropped his phone and broke it .

Certainly some qualities that could make it a pretty generic harem. But will come down to if the characters and story are any good. Don't necessarily have to be original to be good, but do need to execute.

wow how much the smartphone company is paying that anime studios to do that garbage generic per otakus bait animes to adverse the phones, first we had the horrible smartphone now we get a 2.0 of it, be ready if in the future we not gonna get a isekai "galaxy" or isekai Iphone" in the future or isekai "apple"

Not really. There is a smartphone, but LN reader reviews I've read/seen say the story is not an overpowered cheat-fest like Touya. (Yuuto brings a different set of skills IIRC.)

Accounts are the story's focus is on empire-building, with emphasis on war and tactics. (Think the flipside of the administrative/government approach of How A Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom.)

J-Novel Club's translating the series with 2 e-books out, so if you have the account and money you can check the story out.

That said Hyakuren's source novels are still ongoing in Japan at 15 volumes and counting, so I do not expect this will be a complete adaptation.

to be honest i already "read" that same words many times about many series, where the "fans" where saying which the serie is epic is awesome is not generic which is the best harem ever" to ending being another generic bad harem which just "blind followers" fans which can't see or accept that serie being bad and in the end the serie was really bad and was just fans trying to hype they series.

We're not talking about "bad" or "good" here. The problem is that people label it as "another smartphone anime" with the assumption it has a "cheat OP MC" when in fact, it's not the case.

So gonna say it right here, right now: the MC isn't OP, he can just google with his smartphone and come up with tactics or way to make/construct things.

So, bad or not, labeling it the same as Isekai Smartphone just because of the said Smartphone isn't fair.

the fact which he can "google" already enough cheat, because "where is comming that "internet"????(what a awesome internet connection which can work over "firent worlds, dimensions, i really need to know where he get it to get one for me ), at best the smartphone was supposed to only had the "download and in "chip" functions, any other function like "internet acess" or telephone acess" already on the "impossible zone".

Low is good if it doesn't take itself too seriously. If it's wholehearted schlock like Smartphone, I'll enjoy it.
