I completely agree on Maru, and I kinda agree on You.

Maru was probably my favorite character in both this episode, and episode 4. She has excellent chemistry with both Yohane and Ruby, and she brings some golden comedy.

You was great in Episode 3, and she's still my favorite Sunshine girl, but I think I get what you mean by "something's still missing". You could probably use a very personal high-emotion moment at some point. I'm not sure what could spark it. It could be a personal problem coming up that the rest of Aqours helps her through, or it could be You helping out Chika after a big disappointment later on, or it could just be You saying something very inspirational. But I am hoping for that type of moment that could possibly make You an all-time favorite anime character for me.

I would be ok with a comedic gold moment, like Dia's fangirling or Mari's entrance. We're talking about a genki girl with a uniform fetish, there has to be something you can do with that. Of course, an emotional moment would be just as good, if not better. Like I said, she's already proven to be a good friend.

You simply needs more scenes focused on her to give her more characterisation. She's had good moments till now, but all in all she's more like a supporting character helping in the background but not getting much focus. I think it's a bit similar to Kotori at first in the first season.

It's supposedly a local dialect. It's as funny as someone using -gozaru at the end of their sentences. When she doesn't refer to herself in 3rd person, she would use "Ora" as a 1st person pronoun.

If anything, I hope it doesn't turn into the silly Kotori drama. Though mind you, if you want some drama, the 2nd PV does it. I'm just happy she's there to support Chika through it all, even goading Chika on at times.

The PVs and promotional art don't illustrate how...big Mari really is. But it was also surprising to learn Nozomi is only as tall as Honoka. And that Yoshiko is shorter than she looks...

You's emotional heights might come from a supporting role during a critical moment. She doesn't have Kotori's reticence and tends to not mince words, she's not difficult like Nico or Eli, and it's hard to imagine hidden depths ala Nozomi. You's got a few quirks like being a chick magnet for concerts and the whole sailor thing, but I otherwise enjoy how she's the most normal LL! lass from either series. Maybe Kanan too in a more laid back sense
