I hopes they keeps the same seiyuu cast, especially Yomi's one. Not a big fans of seiyuu overall, but can't resist Miyuki Sawashiro's normal voice (not a big fan of her other one: Maria in SZS).

Hearing her voice alone makes any anime 30% more enjoyable for me

So this show starts airing on February 2? I know its only 8 episodes but yikes this is slow.

NoitaminA is a one hour block though, wonder if Fuji TV will just show some other random program instead during January.

^ She's named Chariot, so add the shield and we've got a chariot.

Saya Irino looks like she might be BGS.

Also,

I don't know yet if I love or hate Chariot's design. I definitely can't wait to see that in action. o,O

I'm not totally in love with their use of 3D, to be honest, but maybe it'll grow on me.

I have a feeling it might be awesome. The problem with normal use of 3D in anime is that it's usually used as cheap filler. But if they do it right here it might make for a lot of interesting fighting scenes. If games are any indication there is really awesome potential for 3D.

It hasn't really been pushed back, but since it's only 8 episodes long (that was announced a little while ago) it'll start a little later, there's another 3 episode show that's going to be made to fill in the gap between the end of un-go and the start of BRS

What's the name of this 3 episode show, or is it a non-anime show?

According to Comic Beam, manga "Thermae Romae" was announced to get a TV anime adaptation. It's a three-episode series and will be aired on Noitamina block from January 12th 2012 followed by Black★Rock Shooter. The production studio is DLE.

Story:
A historical comedy. Lucius is an architect of public baths in ancient Rome. He gains a power to time-travel to modern Japan through the baths and introduces the Japanese culture of bath to Rome.
A premise which, in my opinion, sounds more awesome than BRS.

I'd also much prefer to see them follow in the animation style of the OVA as opposed to this contrived 3D they're showing.

The problem I have with the use of 3D is how jarring and artificial it always look and moves in animes. You simply cannot compare it to the level of detail in games. I can only think of one show in recent memory where the 3D model was bearable to watch, and that was berserker in fate/zero. And that was with various fog and effect filters on him constantly.

I don't know, unless I'm reading into this all wrong, technically ALL the BRS stuff will be CG-fied, so what we're seing in the trailer that's BRS is what we're getting. And I don't know about you but that's looking pretty sweet. Don't think I'll have any issue with it unless they show some strange angles. Given the whole setting of BRS and how it worked in the OVA, they pretty much have the easiest anime material ever to avoid that.

Oh and there appears to be some fog and stuff there too. lol

BGS's blade is gold in colour, albeit a bit rusty looking.
