I'm leaning more towards Tamako/Midori for now but saying that Mochizou should just disappear is mean for he did nothing wrong to deserve such treatment =/

He is nice/friendly and helpful... I wouldn't mind to have someone like him around.

To be honest, there is nothing impressive about the second episode, but I continue to experience warm and fuzzy feeling watching the interaction between everyone in the market.

So it's about being hip?

Essentially, this is what's so off putting to me about it.

It's the same thing with Nanoha six years ago, and it continues to be a nasty tradition today.

Not a bad episode but nothing outstanding yet. Still not sure about my feelings towards this anime.

Well ... I still liked ep 2 but somehow while the series is very engaging for me the main chara (meaning the girl - not the bird) still has this "odd" feel to me somehow.... I wonder if it will be
unpacked" more as the eps go on?

^Something similar.

There is nothing special yet it draws you in.

Same thing with K-ON for me.

I like the bird well enough but I am more in the I want more of the adults & varied cast camp. Please don't make it just about high school girls.

This is such a cute slice of life(with a talking bird) anime but why is this buz buz buz ed music so fitting.. And why doesn't get this anime more posts? I thought, this series would be a blast and would get to the front page, right away.

Not much of Ono Trap this episode = FAIL.

This is a cute series, but I think I might let this one go for awhile....didn't hold my interest as much as episode one did.

He's pretty assertive when acting as the director, so I think we know his terrible shyness around Tamako comes from some serious crushing, as opposed to any sort of inherent indecisiveness. So for the little screen time he's got, I think they've given him a decent amount of definition. But, yeah, he's kinda generic, but so is everyone else except for Tamako and, in my opinion, her father. But it's all good so far.

Mochizou is the biggest question for me in this pic. I've got pretty much no idea what he's doing there.

Those who dislike Dera are probably not going to enjoy this week's episode, unless the other character this episode focused on manages to win them over. I can't say this episode did much for me, although I did like it.

I still love Tamako's straightforwardness, honesty and optimism. These are traits essential to a slice of life main character. She's the type of person you can't help but like.

It seems like the next episode will focus on Anko. I'm very much looking forward to it. She looks adorable in the preview.

Tamako Market 03 - Obtuse Reference

Though Tamako is the one that has her name in the title, I suspected that this was going to be a show with a well developed (or at least quirky) supporting cast. Which is why Shiori, though she was in the OP but had never been met before now, getting an episode to herself is something I'm okay with. Dera (I should call him that) once again served as more of a catalyst, in this case for Shiori. Shiori's coming out of her shell was pretty heartwarming to watch, thanks in part to the always great atmosphere work that KyoAni has got down to an artform. But the thing I took the most out of this episode? Kanna. There's really only one way to describe her character. It's such a unique quirk that she instantly grabbed my attention, and I want to see more of her.

Still enjoying this show. Though reevaluating it a few episodes into its run, it's really closer to a (slightly) less fantasy-based ARIA. Looking forward to next week's episode on Kyouko Ankh Anko.

Episode 3 was ok for me. I need more Mochizou and townsfolk screen time! ^_^

I liked this episode actually, it gave a different and a bit more serious feel to the series and I think Dera made it better.

I suspect that he will serve as a problem solver for most part of the show.
