Too bad the manga has been on hiatus almost a year now. Chapter 21 was the last one which would be the first chapter of volume 6.
It ends with Sanae and Natsu about to face off and bam author got sick and disappeared. I loved this series so much I bought the Japanese volumes when the scans took forever to catch up till now months ago. Hell I even have a "TAKE" t-shirt just like the main characters. |

Yeah just read 24. To be honest it's kind of pissing me off. The main chick has always been an annoying Mary Sue, but this one really got me. The whole brother plot has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason, I don't like it at all. I've never had such a love hate feeling towards a manga before. It hypes me up then makes me sick from one chapter to another.

I just finished reading the series and I was wondering if there is any information about the mangaka's current work status. What is he currently working on?
I also looked up if he has written any other long running series and it seems Teppu is the only one, is this correct? Teppu has become one of my favorite mangas. I was wondering if he has said anything about wanting to continuing drawing Teppu, if the opportunity presents itself. |

I heard that this series got canned so hard. I wonder is it true? |

If the mangaka would like to continue the series I see some options, but I don't have high hope. |

As far as I remember, when the author took a big break in writing Teppuu the readership dropped significantly and never recovered after serialisation re-started so the series got cut short. I can't find any evidence that the author started another series.
I agree that it's a big shame. It was quite a unique series in a number of ways. It sucks but it happens. Another series with a sort-of "alpha female" type lead that I like (Seifuku no Vampiress Lord by Matsumoto Tomoki) also got cut short and ended at volume 3. It's a tough world out there. |
