Aye, I'd be fine if they spent the second season on other characters (we'd get bits of the ongoing K+I romance anyway). I'd like to see them focus on the SatouxYachiyoxKyouko mess of a triangle, there's a lot of Yama+(my brain blanked on the other chef's name) that is hilarious. Then there's that whole mess with the yakuza juniors.

Argh... I can't decide if this conversation is "spoiler or not". We're just wondering which parts of the books will be adapted.

i believe Otou's wife, haruna will make an appearance. in fact, she actually appears before the Mahiru+Takanashi date in manga.

there were a lot of funny chapters that they skip to get to date... for example, chapter 83

Fall 2011 is such a sweet season indeed. It's pretty buff already that I don't know if I will be having time to watch all of the show I'm expecting.

The new season is officially titled "WORKING'!!" (I don't think you pronounce that any differently... maybe a guttural stop at the end?). The OP and ED are by the same trios as last time - Asumi/Kitamura/Fujita on the OP, Ono/Fukuyama/Kamiya on the ED.

Neat. Both the opening and ending kicked major ass last time, and really set the tone for the show. They've got a high standard to live up to, but if it's even half as good, I'll be more than happy.

Mind you, this is a question I've always asked myself whenever I watched new seasons of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and they always managed to do an amazing new OP.

I'm more interested in the ED... their first season ED I enjoyed a lot (so rare that the guys get to sing, much less the retro-rock theme).

It seems they've kept the "ONE! ONE! ONE!" (or something that sounds very similar) from the previous OP, since it was the catchiest part.
It's hard to judge the OP tune right now. I'm sort of liking it... but I guess the sort of thing you just have to get used to, just like with the SZS ones, before you start liking them for what they're worth.

no spoilers, but we may/could assume that
couple one will be Taka+Ina
couple two will be Todoroki+ one of the other one with no ambiguity.

BUT, working!! season 2 should not center on just on those plots, but should instead use them as a device for some of the funnier arcs that we're seeing now in the manga series.
