Okay so i've been watching the Ash Kikui battle and it just makes my head hurt. Like these guys are literally making this up as they go and it's painful to watch

why are the battles bad exactly? I actually liked the empulion vs Pikachu fight and venasaur vs torracat

For those of you that don't mind possibly getting spoiled on the new season:

Spoiler for Anime Rumors:

- Gou's name in english is Chase.

- Ash and Chase region hop via a Lugia.

- Ash is going to be primarily focused on trying to win the Leagues that were in previous seasons. Chase is primarily focused on catching Pokemon.

- There will be episodes dedicated to Ash and Chase teaming up to fight against legendary and mythical Pokemon.

- Ash's Charizard has a son, which Chase will get.

- The Jigglypuff from the OG series is back as a recurring Pokemon.

- Team Rocket is still in. The Bewear from Sun and Moon has been replaced by a Dragonite role-wise.

- Ash's Greninja will be back for the Kalos episodes.

- A lot of Galar episodes focus on Dynamax/Gigantamax battles.


If this is real, then that is a whole lot of bullshit packed into one season. Seriously, after losing in all of those regions he is now just going to casually go back and win at all of them in consecutive order? What the hell is wrong with these writers? What about earning the gym badges in each region to qualify? Don't tell me that he can just use the old badges because that is pretty unfair to everyone else trying to get into the League.

Oh and they are just casually going to travel the world on top of a freaking Lugia? And not only that they are going to be actively fighting Legendary and Mythical Pokemon? Da fuck? Do these writers not know the concept of consistency? Also, are they seriously going to give Team Rocket a Dragonite? What the actual fuck?

How about making a NORMAL ANIME SEASON FOCUSED ON THE GALAR REGION LIKE THE SHOW USED TO DO? Man, this is definitely looking like writers trying to reboot the series in their own weird way without any proper consistency, holy shit.

Will be adding the next part later and let's just say that my reactions to the rumors don't change.

Spoiler for Rumors part 2:

- All previous traveling companions will return for some episodes periodically, as well as Gary, Lyra, Khoury, Paul, N, Bianca, Alain, Shauna and Gladion.

- Each regions will have a new main female with it. Kanto gets Jodi (Who is in the games as Green), Johto gets Elaine, Hoenn gets Lisia, Sinnoh gets the Lisia equivalent who'll be introduced in the DP remakes, Unoba gets Rosa (Hilda will also be in but she'll be a rival to Rosa), Kalos gets Emma, Alola gets Selene and Galar gets Gloria.

- Jodi and Serena will meet at one point, Jodi teades her about Ash's crush.

- Ash has a crush on Gloria.

- Ash will have rivalries with Hop, Bede and Marnie in Galar.

- The main villain of the series is Eternatus, which is a very powerful alien Pokemon who got defeated by Zacian and Zamacenta in ancient times. Gets re-awakened by increased amounts of Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing.

Like I said, if this is true, then this is just the writers fucking rebooting the entire series in their own way while saying that everything so far still happened... and yet somehow Ash is still 10 years old, that's one fucking long year.

Personally, I would be ok with this being a reboot, but only if it didn't tie into past seasons and was treated as a new universe/timeline. That way the whole traveling through all the regions thing would make sense, Ash competing once more in those regions League would make sense and it would be free of all the baggage that cones from past seasons. Sadly, the writers apparently are way too coward to do it for nebulous reasons that they themselves have stared and promptly outright negated with their writing.

Ugh, Serena the bland and her shipping shit is back, but worse. Pokemon is about the only anime that I would be ok with not having any shipping at all, sadly, the damn fanbase doesn't seem to understand how wrong it is to ship 10 year olds. Oh and now Ash for some fucking reason Ash suddenly is interested in girls... I blame the fucking fanbase for this shit as much as the writers.

Man, all of this reads like the writers went to a site and just copied and pasted someones fanfiction for their reboot. Is it so wrong to want the series to return to how it used to be BEFORE the unnecessary soft reboot in Unova, is it?

Let's start with the fact that Lycanroc lost to fucking crush claw. Not steel wing but crush claw. Then in response to Braviary he sends out ROWLETT who somehow fucking wins. Then feather dance which is ridiculous but okay. I didn't even bother the other battles because it's so bad it's painful

Honestly, I'm not sure why some parts of the fandom even care about the 'shipping' aspect of this series to begin with. I've stopped watching the show about mid-Johto, but (at least from what I'm hearing), these writers seemed terrible when writing about it (along with some characters 'supposedly' being 10 years old). It also doesn't help that the evidence of supposed 'feelings' are not only circumstantial, but also one-sided on the girls side (also doesn't help that whenever the season ends, the 'shipping' aspect is just switched to a new girl of the new season, with anything related to the previous girl is forgotten).

It just seems like these female characters are just there for fan service (don't want to think this is true, since some of them are 10 years old. However, from what I've heard on some of the reviews of the latest season, there were a one or two beach episodes and a hot spring episode, so....)

I swear if they start giving Chase or Ash all these Legendary Pokemon...I could SOMEWHAT understand Ash getting at least one due to him being Ash, but if they hand these to Chase I’m going to rage lol. Let the Legendaries be.
