How are the chapters released? Are they bi-weekly? I still haven't got a chance to read chapter 16, can't wait. |

Finally read chapter 17. Ho ho, this is the best harem manga ever.
Spoiler for chap 17:
Man, I prefer this sort of harem series. The girls know they want the guy and they'd fight each other for him. Much, much better than To Love Ru as a harem manga. |

Spoiler for 17:
I also went crazy over the weekend and purchased all the current volumes of both Tolove and Himari. Regardless of which one I end up preferring more, both have definitely earned a place on my shelf

The girls in To Love are too friendly with each other for some reason. I'm not saying To Love ru is a bad manga, but lately it's become boring, with Rito being still a wimp and no advancement with either Lala or Haruna. And the other girls in Rito's "harem" only have one precarious foot in the equation. The girls in Himari are all vying for top spot with Yuuto and that means they have more character than the tolove girls imo. And for a typical wimpy harem lead, Yuuto doesn't act wimpy like Rito. |

To-Love-Ru isn't bad, really. But the jokes and etc. get boring after a while. It's pretty easy to scan through it without reading the text and understanding perfectly. Well, and Omamori Himari has supernatural fantasy fighting too. To-Love-Ru has sci-fi fighting too, but that wasn't very interesting. And... I'll never forget Himari's expression when she lost it at the end of volume 2... Oh, and I like Omamori Himari's art better. Spoiler for chp17:
Not to be animated yet?

I would like to see this animated as well but seems like there isn't enough material to use for the time being. So maybe further down the line.
There are so many mangas that I want to see animated but ya can't have em all

The better question would be, how is this manga doing in Japan? It's got tankoubon, but is it popular?
One problem might be that it's a monthly manga, like Claymore. That series took forever to get animated, even though it was really popular. There isn't enough material yet. Claymore burned through 6 years of material in 26 eps. I don't really want to see this animated so much as made weekly.
