So the eyes being connected was/could be the case

. This was one of my theories about the eyes and Tobi being Obito from back in chapter 594. The eyes being connected imo hasn't been fully confirmed yet though.

Anyways I don't understand why Obito will say that he "Let Rin die..."

Did he try to save him with his wood element? Perhaps made an organic heart for Rin? But Kakashi failed to guard her even after that?

I hope Obito at least did something.

OR PERHAPS.... Kakashi ran away in fear of what he did like a sick coward?

I guess we now know how nagato got his Rinnengan. Madara gave him uchiha eyes, and then the death of Nagato's parents triggered them. I guess 2 eyes are needed because Tobi's got one, he's got half senju body and that jolt of Kakashi killing Rin didn't do anything.
So does that mean naruto's gonna somehow get his eyes gouged out, replaced with sharingans and then watch something nasty like sasuke killing sakura or something?

Maybe Rin gave Kakashi permission to kill her so he could get the MS (I don't know). She could have been close to death from the attack from the hidden mist. It can't be confirmed because of the rain, but it looks like Kakashi is crying when he kills Rin. And like Lunarskylar pointed out, Obito says that you "let rin die" instead of you "killed rin". I definitely didn't see this coming.

I was thinking it was a zetsu clone too, since this all seems like one big setup to cut Obito's ties to Konoha, although for the sake of dramatic effect, I think it'll be a manipulated Kakashi. Everything so far since the Tobi reveal has been rather straightforward.

If the conditions to obtaining the MS are true, that makes total sense. Though for Kakashi, I think Obito counted for him, since he thought he was dead all those years.

The interesting thing is that Obito saw Rin, form Kakashi's point of view. So either Kakashi is a Zetsu clone. Tho then they need to explain why the clone can have sharingan, able to use chidori and shed tears. Or Obito can see from Kakashi's point of view thanks to the sharingan they are sharing. That would explain Obito knowing about Kakashi's visits to the memorial stone. Tho then they need to explain why Kakashi can't see from Obito's point of view. Maybe because Obito is the original owner of Kakshi's eye.

this itself proves that it is probably not a zetsu clone , even is zetsu is able to copy one's chakra and skill i think he cannot copy one's organ i.e. obitos's sharingan eye which is with kakashi,
just to make it sure did zetsu use byakugan when he transformed as Neji?

i have a hard time taking this chapter seriously. so kakashi killed rin. obviously there was a reason behind it. but no matter how "evil" rin's deeds were, it wouldn't matter to obito because he was, and still is, obsessed with her. kakashi would never get away with this no matter what. so in the end, obito turned dark side because of a girl and not because of some personal issues he had in the past. i certainly hope there's more to this than just rin dying because if it is, then obito's emo-ness would certainly overshadow that of sasuke's. at least sasuke saw his clan massacred, mind-raped by his brother whom he idolized, and sexually harassed by a pedophile. lol

The highlight of this chapter for me was after the rock was crushed Obito went out and we get to see all his future stuff lying around.

That was pretty cool.

For me it's another hack no jutsu.. Kishimoto originally had Kakashi letting Rin die.. but now he's changed it so Kakashi actually killed Rin.

I think it's better to have Kakashi being unable to save Rin or unable to sacrifice himself to save Rin for example.. than Kakashi directly killing Rin. This would add more emphasis on Obito's "You let Rin die!" statement.

I think it's either madara with Ashton kutcher punking obito
Madara is hooked up to the tree which is also connected to zetsu, they all share info
Madar might be asleep but he knows what is going on, and the only reason obito knows what's going on Is zetsu's doing It's an episode of punk'ed I'm telling you
