hi people, i saw an anime similar to gundam years ago but couldn't remember what it was called. There was this scene showing a robot drinking lava to restore his energy and that robot is able to shoot flame from its chest. It is an adventure anime with 2 boys from a village discovering a robot and then got banished because that robot went out of control and wrecked the entire village.

Oh man...that sounds so familiar but I can't place it...I'll be thankful to anyone who identifies this anime as well, whether or nt I've actually seen it, just to get it off my chest.

everyone know that german ebay ad that appears on the main page randomly? Is that animegirl on it from any anime? i really like the look of the character and i am hoping to find out if she was simplpy created as a marketing tool.

I, and probably just about any true anime fan, would recognize that face anywhere: Shinobu Maehara from Love Hina.

While watching some animes- mostly older by a few years -there is a watermark in the top left corner that says Sorrow Encode. Is that an encoding program/ ripping program, or the name of the ripper. The series i'm watching now was done by AnimeUnion, and it shows up in there.

Which leads me to my next question, at the beginning of every ep they did, they had a montage of what I assume are series they did, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what 2 of the sewries are. Here is a link to the screen captures on PhotoBucket. The short girl with the sword is Jubei-chan done as a fanart, it's the other 2 that have me stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Jubei-chan does not actually have an injured eye, she just wears an eyepatch for the magic powers. Plus the eyepatch is heart-shaped, the school uniform is wrong, the art style is completely different, and the character looks way too young. Conclusion: not Jubei-chan.

In fact, judging from the style, I would guess that all 3 come from the same show, and even though I don't recognize it, a quick search for the text at the bottom of the 3rd pic brings up this little gem - a hentai game/OVA franchise.
