Pretty sure I remember hearing (before the season began) that the last episode was an hour long (and, at the time, said to be the only episode that wasn't the normal length for airing purposes).

I think there's one more episode after this. This is the penultimate one and it featured Gilgamesh getting his ass kicked in the Unlimited Blade Works. Not bad.

Little question, did Archer came back as a counter guardian to stop Gilgamesh or he was still alive(using independent action)?

They chose the Japanese version of the chant instead of English.

Archer who has supposedly disappeared yet he still somehow reappeared maybe Saber can too. Well probably no though.

Shame that Saber disappeared without any ounce of emotion but everything else was perfection.

This was a very enjoyable episode. I actually wouldn't mind if this was the final episode. But if the epilogue would show more Saber and/or Archer, then I wouldn't complain, although it probably will just be about Rin and Shirou, and possibly Shinji and Sakura(?). Oh, and I'm pleased that Shinji survived.

The only thing I don't agree with is Shirou capitulating to the idea that his ideal is a fake and not his own. Sure, he didn't come up with it. But just because he got it from someone else doesn't mean it didn't become his own as well. When it comes to ideals and worldviews, we are influenced by our interactions with other people. And when we encounter something we can agree with or live by, it becomes a part of us.

This is how you make a climax episode. This was gorgeous!
Everybody is a badass.
Loved seeing Gilgamesh being mangled up so nice.

That was an awesome episode and Shirou was a complete badass throughout that entire fight. The version of EMIYA that played throughout the fight was nice too. Saber's departure wasn't very emotional for me but other than that I loved the episode.

Now the epilogue just has to wrap up everyone's story.
