I actually really dislike that tendency. I'd like to react in my own way. I'm okay with translator notes that add clarification, and it's fine if the translators want to add personal comments at the end. But other irrelevant reaction comments ruin immersion when I'm trying to concentrate.

Does the older sister already become a host since birth? As far as i know, only Leslie was inherited to become a host of such power when she was born. Unless the extraction method also affects the older sister as well if she also got a magic power for it.

Reading the manga version, that seems to be the plan. I don't know about the host since birth, but to have the powers transferred to Eli, that's for sure. Any silver haired child who inherited dark-type magic was sacrificed, so the host would receive the powers upon the death of their silver-haired sibling. All I know is that Leslie had caught on to the fact that this had been done multiple times in the Sperado family.

But the question is her uncle. He may not possess the power of darkness and during the trial itself, he got no sign of it. Leslie got her power dormant and when she discover that spreado also aims to become one of the priests, then it will be interesting.

S1 covers the 1st half of the source webnovel.

Apparently its somewhere in between; they kind of get what's coming, but they'll still be around in a 2ndary role in the story's next half. The main villain from that point will be the Empress Dowager.

Ara I didn't know season 1 ended on ch 60. (As it has yet to be translated/ I haven't read it yet) However what you said about what is next from a story point of view makes sense. The backer of the Spreados family who pulled many strings (which eventually failed due to the Spreados incompetency) will finally become the main antagonist. (Out in the open)
In short the "Aha your the real mastermind! Your next on the chopping block!" Kind of thing. xD We are all so distracted by Leslie being adorable that we are ok with a fairly simple/cliche plotline.

This is a series you read to go "kawaiiiii~" over Leslie, after all. The series lives and dies depending on how much you like her. The other characters are just fellow cheerleaders or cheap antagonists.
