It looks like this is getting an anime adaptation. Anime domain registered this week.

Description:

In a certain place, there was a traveler witch. Her name was Elaina.

Being a traveler, she came across many people and countries while continuing her long, long journey.

A country that only accepted magicians, a muscle loving giant, a youth wanting to return the lover from the grasp of death, a Princess left alone in the ruined country, and the story of witch herself up until now and from now on.

While meeting unbelievably odd people and experiencing beautiful moments of some, now, even now, the witch keeps spinning the tale of meeting and parting.

“Please don’t mind it. After all, I’m a traveler. I must hurry.”

I was just thinking how much I would like an adaptation of this!!!! Now that we are getting in the Phase 2 there can't be a better moment than this. I have many hopes for this.

Hmm, not bad so far. I assume this is the intro to the main story, which will probably run in Kino no Tabi style. (Kinda funny that according to the 1st post's synopsis, there is even a special "countries" thing too)
So I will at least continue watching for now to see what kind of short stories await.

BTW, I don't think the protagonist actually visually aged at all despite so many years passing during one episode.

Also, the general animation is good, but the occasional random CG looks pretty ugly. Yeah, I'm looking at you, rocks. Not really sure why there are occasional CG scenes anyways, since it isn't like "All fights are CG" or a specific rule exists. It seems more like "We didn't have time, so let's fill in parts and parts with CG".

This looks pretty good, the magic battle was awesome and I'm hoping for more of that but this seems more SoL while traveling.

I liked this a lot. This is merely the prologue to the actual story (stories?), but it was really fun. The lesson Fran taught Elaina before teaching magic was a good one. I can't believe she actually put up with basically being a slave for a month.
