not really, i rewatch they and the same way she threat him she also threat the other even on that episode we see she siting near him and he giving her and the other girl candies(the other guy) even her description of the "handsome man" match the description of the other guy or you forget he was described as a handsome guy with good notes who many girls look at him but the girl which he actually liked was the one which giving that trauma.

she never really showed any real signal of interest of him all he did was being the same tomboish free spirit the "romance" come exactly when he talked with her about "romance".

If she indeed was in love with him she had many chances to be "jelly" even if she is a dense character.

another note rakudai was a perfect exemple of anime which don't followed many of that cliches.

I didn't find the childhood friend reactions to bother me as much because I thought it was pretty tame really (excluding the coke can symbolic shot, that was a bit over the top lol).

I mean, it's not like she suddenly started crying out her (likely unrequited, to make it even more cliche) love for him. It was more that she noticed it was bothering her seeing him talking so friendly with another girl. Ok, I know this is obviously /not/ going to be the case, but looking at it objectively it could be just friend-jealousy with no romantic feelings involved, You Never Know.

and isn't this going to be a VN anyway? it would be logical to assume most of it not all the club girls will probably get a route in the end so romance will eventually be part of the story.

Other than that, I quite liked the episode. For being one of the shows I wasn't sure of watching in the first place, this one is turning up to be quite good. I like the simplicity of the characters and our main girl being literally Yukinoshita Yukino is totally fine with me xD Can't wait to see how the start developing the game from now on.

Oh great....I was hoping that the childhood friend would just be the childhood friend. But nope. Of course she's going to develop feelings that will be unrequited in the end. Would have been nice to just leave that as friendship and stick with the development with Kuroda since that's where we're going in the end anyways.

The rest of the episode was fine though. It was a nice point made why they need someone as extreme as the BL girl here. The rest of them don't have enough experience with games or the personality to stand up for themselves and voice their thoughts in a firm manner. Sure it's fine for the leader to lead, but good to have people able to speak up when necessary.

YEEAH! My prayers have been answered; love triangle (square with ando?) is here with Yuuka.

Seems like Yuuka has been afflicted with the "I didn't realize I have loved him" syndrome. She was obviously gunning for him to go on a date before, but now it's clear that her wanting to go home wasn't because she was bored, but because she was starting to feel jealous and didn't want to see any more. Normally I'd be waiting on the MC to also feel that way somewhere along the line, but this time I kinda want to but also kinda don't want to? Only reason why I'm only half into the MC realizing his feelings is that this was written by Tanaka, so I'm half hoping for Yuuka to be the next coming of Kashima Yumi. In other words, someone who will stick by him through thick and thin, through ups and downs, whether there is romantic love between the two or not.

Knowing that this anime is only going to animate half of the game though, here's my prediction. Story ends with high school finished. MC and Kuroda has feelings for each other, and MC wants to have a relationship. Kuroda declines because she wants to focus on eroge, and this sets her route up in the latter half of the game with the MC following her. Yuuka on the other hand is dejected by the end of high school, and starts to date Atomu. Her route in the latter half of the game is all about MC trying to win her over Atomu a few years into college or something, who she obviously doesn't like as much as MC but is adamant about staying by Atomu's side since he was the one who picked her pieces up.

Andou though, as expected, is the one closest to my personality. Just replace "BL" with "Osananajimi" and you've got me in a nutshell (partly reason why I get along with fujoshis better than yuri shippers). After all, "It's about fangirling [about childhood friends] with all you got!"

Loving Andou's free-spirited & personality. They're in highschool, and even if they were adults, why SHOULDN'T the creators have fun making their game? Loved her "thats not an answer Kuroda" comment as well.

I'd ship her & Houjo, but lets be real, not gonna happen. Actually, since this anime seems made to promote the VN, we prolly won't get any conclusive endings anyway.

Oh well, best enjoy the ride.

Personally, I'm enjoying this show. I like Kuroda's particular weirdness, with her brilliance and many blind spots. Chisuga Haruka (she was also Sylvia in Asterisk) is doing a good job with her. But unlike others, I don't much like Andou yet, necessary to the group as she is. This show is not giving us great originality, but nice variations on familiar themes and memes.

For me, the show moves in an enjoyable way, with good rhythms of story and scene. And I credit the director, Satou Takuya (Ichigo Mashimaro, Steins;Gate) and the anime writer, Ayana Yuniko (Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, Kiniro Mosaic).

It was sorta refreshing to have a childhood friend that wasn't romantically interested in the MC but I guess that couldn't last.

I like Andou's personality and they did a good job explaining why they need her.

There is one simple rule: As long as there is clear affection, it always can turn be romantic one. It's like Shroedinger cat. Kuroda opened box and because that we could finally see what was inside, that's all. There is no reason to be surprised or disappointed.

Anyway Andou is great character, probably best in show, it's really shame MC is so focused on Kuroda (who is turning be pretty annoying), especially as they have significantly better chemistry. Well, maybe show will provide some twist.

PS: Yuuka never shown particular affection toward -forever alone- friend.

Damn, I thought we had for once avoid the childhood friend romance bullet, but it turns out it just ricocheted instead. =not /

That said, the project went into a weird direction there. Though I guess the takeaway is that Andou is find with anything as long as it's not hetero.

I don't feel like this group is going last long past their first game if this kinda of extreme compromise (which involves deluding oneself of what they actually working on) needed to get anything going. I think everyone is gonna need to broaden their horizons a bit in the future if they really want continue working with each other.

Camp time!

Physical activities might help focus, but they also tire you out.

I like how when Sayuki was talking about comparing busts in the bath, it focused on Buntarou staring at her bouncing breasts.

I know the episode wanted us to believe Andou is useful for the team, but honestly, people like her are a bane of group projects - doesn't taking things seriously and yet wants to force selfish changes and throws a fit when she doesn't get her way.

I liked Sayuki sending Buntarou to find out what are everyone's opinions on writing fictional stories. Some interesting answers.

The scene on the balcony felt pretty... intimate I guess? Not physically, but it seems Sayuki and Buntarou understand each other better now, and got closer. I think something might come out of this after all.

... so, not surprised at all. In any case she is cute and it seems taht she is just realizing her true feeling, sadly for her Houjo seems set to Kuroda. They are getting closer and that's the trigger for her realization.

The episode felt a bit flat honestly, given the camp premise. Also it felt a bit over the place, I lost some bits here and there to how they got a script or how it became a yuri / yaoi story. But ok. I tend to get distracted when they get too deep into these details. That's why I usually don't watch shows with this kind of plot/premise.

In any case as far as Yukinon stays so cute I'm fine.

Dammit...this show strikes home so well....

It's like a super brief description of one's own evolution into a full fledged otaku over the years compressed into 3 episodes....The point where you stop becoming a hentai obsessed freak into someone who seriously treats all this as sublime art XDD

Honestly? I am more surprised Kuroda does not include story quality in what makes a game attractive lol....Then again if it's cheapo games they are talking about then I guess people would go for illustrations but still...

Yuuki really stole this entire episode, compared to all the other characters she really added a nice touch.

At this point the series is getting boring, Kuroda is a plain character that use the same cliché lines with that poker face all the time - obligatory serious main heroine -, Houjou is literally dancing on Kuroda's hand and as the other main character is plain boring - Tomoya on Saekano was better even when is a really bad character too -.

As for the supportive/secondary characters, Andou and Atomu are nice additions but that's all, I'm at the verge of dropping this but something tell me to keep watching - maybe the illusion of having a nice surprise but I doubt it -.
