As for the gradually building up, you gotta realize that they only have 3 episodes left. Next two will be action episodes, with no time to explain all the mysteries. If they don't explain it, it'll be like Last Exile, with things only half-assedly explained in the last 10 minutes of the last episode. So I think they did a beautiful job.

Yes, she's not the same as sakuya and eureka.
But its not like theyve been mass-producing her either.
It seems anemone was quite present in the dream-space that renton got lost in many eps back.
So I still think she represents the will of the skurve in that sense- she's connected to it.
and thats why im still hoping fer her and dominic to get together. It seems sortof mean to
just say "you werent found full-grown in a cave, so you dont count"

But then Anemone's preoccupied with childish things. While Eureka is plugged into the Skurve's consciousness seeking out answers to her condition, Anemone just wants to manipulate and play with the power she's been given. Even if she's connected to it, she doesn't serve the purpose the connection intends i.e. to communicate the will of the Skurve.

However I too hope Anemone and Dominic have a happy ending. I have a lot of sympathy for their situation. But honestly I think Anemone's too far gone now to be liberated, at least in the way Dominic thinks. Recent episodes have show us she's pretty much lost her mind and volition with it. Now the preview to Ep.48 shows her developing an 'unnatural' connection with theEND. Even if she survives the final battle she'll be damaged, maybe an invalid, because of the drugs...

Wow that was about the best episode ever, so many ups and downs and non-stop action. Couldn't have written a better ending about Anemone and Dominic, turned out more happy then I thought. Although The End got destroyed which sucked but at least Anemone doesn't have to fight anymore.

Awesome fight between theEND and TypeZero. The Anemone/Dominique bit was nice, and wow theEND sacrificing itself for Amemone...I didn't see that coming. And what was with its transformation? Very good stuff indeed.

I have no idea how the hell this is going to end. Damnit!!! Very good ep though, but I really hope they are able to connect everything sufficiently in the end...I mean I don't need an explanation for every single little thing, but I feel as if there is more that they have yet to reveal. Hopefully it doesn't feel too rushed in the end...

I was so worried throughout the entire episode!!!! I thought something might happen to him or her!

Anemone sounded like she lost all hope when she was doing all the monologue. I thought that was a very good way of presenting her point of view.
And then from 15min to 20 min. Pow. Bam. Boom! YEAHHHH!

Too bad theEnd sacrificed itself. It was very heroic, but I would have liked to see the 'white' theEnd in action a bit more.

Such a beautiful episode.

Oh, and anyone noticed that when they held hands and grabbed onto each other in the air, it kinda parallel Renton and Eureka in ep26? Very nice indeed Except when the platypus helped them, that was great. Totally awesome show mascot

Next episode. 1 hour special. It'll be kick ass. I'm sure they'll round the series off perfectly. I can't wait.

No sense in describing any of it, let's just say that it was something I might have expected from the ending, but now I'm even more eager to see what kind of awesomeness they've got for is, if this kind of emotion and quality of animation is actually a pentultimate episode!

So, where do we stand?

1) The Skurve Central Cluster ("brain") is destroyed. Does that mean that the Skurve Coral will die as Dewey has planned?

2) TheEnd is gone, but Zero seems to be badly damaged as well. Will they make it back fight Dewey? Well, I expect that Holland's 303 will be doing the fighting, so maybe not.

3) Dewey is smart! Hey, he even planned ahead for Anemone going nuts or otherwise, since she only needed to place the beacon.

The flying scene with Dominic and Anemone is just amazing. So well choreographed. And I am not even talking about The End vs. Zero, it was godly as well.

In the end, Gulliver turned out to be the hero. It was so sweet. 8)

Well, Anemone knew about Eureka from the beginning. Remember how she called her "my twin", or something like that, in Episode 12 (or was it 11?).

And Eureka must have learned Anemone's name when their minds connected through Nirvash in this ep.

I don't think Dewey was right about the Scab...

If he completely destroyed the scab by knocking out the 'big brain' so to speak, I think both Eureka and Anemone would have freaked out x20, similar to what happened when Dewey first started attacking the Scab; although Anemone is not a 'true' coralian, she is still conected to the larger conciousness. I also found it interesting that inside type theEND's cockpit it was like a bumblebee...I wonder if that aludes to anything signifigant that may happen in the last two eps?
