My take on why Saki was sad at the end with the help of NeutralZero.

This is probably true, she wouldn't be sad if she accepted Haruto...

The fact that Shoko said that she wanted the culture festival was to confess to the boy she likes.

She knows that they both have mutual feelings for each other, and her betraying one of her closest friends would make her feel like that.

Other than the glasses girl, Shoko was one of her closest things she could call a friend.

Haruto, on the other hand is a love interest for her.

To the people who rated it painful, you're rating it on the wrong scale... It wasn't painfully bad, it was painfully sad to the heart..
It's more like perfectly painful episode, it was in fact a great episode that drove a stake through Shoko fans.

I do feel terrible for Shoko, but I am a bigger Saki fan.

Conclusion: Saki won't be happy about it.

Yeah, I think confession will be the same, but the conclusion of the Dorssian attack will be different. Instead of "Oh yes! Valvrave saved the day!" it will be "Oh no! Everyone is dead!".

I just think it is hard for her to truly "win" when Haruto never loved her.This isn't about an indecisive male lead, this is a guy who already decided on his true love. It's just that the universe screwed him over.

sure they can kill lets say no name characters but no over kill...
especially if the overkill is done by Aina's killer... probably it'll be time to have that brat kick the bucket...
hope more or the inner circle of Shouko/Haruto's group survive...
