Episode 9 feel really short, I thought it could cover more than this orz

slow episode and good action scene as always

Still a very faithful adaption with no sign of rush.

I thought it could go up to Ogre naming and evolution
but this episode just cover the fight before they return to the village

Oh goodness, Rimuru and his imaginations running wild again.

But still, his abilities continues to impress. I also had a feeling that he'd be able to defeat that group without trouble if he wanted. At least they got the misunderstand cleared up now.

I like how this show still mixes in humor in between some of the more tense moments. Not a bad way to make the show more entertaining imo.

Genderless lol, expectation vs reality hit him hard there.

Yeah Gobta deserved that.

Ogres, all of them are from the opening and ending movie but they look more human, Rimuru probably gives them names so they evolve.

I really liked how Rimuru used different skills to defeat them, the black flame with black lightning was really impressive.

The ogres had impressive skills as well, unfortunately for them they are up against god like slime this time around.

Looking forward to seeing what happens next time, I can already tell their village was destroyed by the evil majin they were talking about, I wonder if that person will be a good opponent for Rimuru.

Ah, we meet the ogres! The pink-haired one is definitely my favorite, although they're all pretty fun.

Man, there was a whole long segment of Rimiru testing and evolving his skills in the cave so he wouldn't be caught forgetting his own abilities, like he did with Ifrit, and they cut it out almost entirely.

Well that old ogre dude just so sweet got behide Rimuru and took his arm in a instant while know one could touch him and that sword with out a guard looks so awesome

I'm glad to see so many people got hit so hard emotionally over Shizu
I'll say again that Shizu is definitely one of my favorite heroine over isekai series
Usually, isekai series would only let her live inside Rimuru just like Veldora and occasionally will show up.. but Tensura let her rest forever in peace... with endless happy dream inside Rimuru
Anime adaptation is superb... I got hit so hard by feels when Shizu become old.... then the music hits us hard...

This is also another good way to give power up toward main character.. Rimuru just got another reasonably strong ability because he absorbed all Shizu's experience over years
He also obtained his goal... to fulfill all Shizu's wish

funny thing is that.. male adult Rimuru would resemble Leon Cromwell while the female adult form resembled Shizu

putting Shizu's stuff aside, finally one of my fave char appeared... Shuna and Shion <3

now I can't wait for Milim

Gotta say still my favourite this season. The character designs are so satisfying to look at as well.
Seeing a (I guess) country being built is pretty cool as well.
The exchange this episode felt a bit artificial but don't really mind it too much. Maybe next episode clears things up.


Definitely an AOTY candidate for me.

That part was indeed great, however the actual best of the best of her voice acting in this episode was definitly the part about the Ogres demanding Rimuru to show his "true evil form", to which Rimuru monologues "Eh? But my true form is that of an adorable Slime!" I could rewatch that for a few million times, and only keep liking it even more, it's that good.


And what's that music that plays when Rimuru defeats/immobilizes the first 3 Ogres? The only other time I recall that track being used was back in EP3 when Rimuru mimicked the Direwolf boss for the first time (and in a way also the last time, since later on that mimick upgraded to Tempest Star Wolf form). It sounds so extremely familiar like it's based on some very well known piece of classical music, but I just can't recall what it is, or whether I am completely mistaken and it's actually just an original track. If anyone knows if it's based on some existing music, I'd appreciate that.
