There are a few of us out here. But the thread is new, and the rest of us venerable ojiisan types probably haven't seen it yet. For what it is worth, my profile does display my real age.

I'm 17 and it sucks to be a PIU fan at this age. I'd much rather be 21 because D&B's policy is bullcrap and I'm not waiting until the year 2010 so I can play at the only arcade within a walking distance from where I live. So I can see R-rated movies by myself now. Big whoopie-doo! That's great, but R-rated movies are starting to blend together to the point of which there is little to no difference between 90% of them.

Oh, well. At least being 17 is better than being anything less. I should count my lucky stars than I'm not 15 or something since I'd have to go through being called "a stupid little kid" again.

Well, as of this writing, there are now two of us brave enough to stand up (canes in hand) and be counted.

FWIW, My true age is also displayed.

No, that would be evil. Good to know that there are more senior members who visit this forum.

My sentiments echo Ambience Blue's. Mentally though, I still feel like I'm 16 .
Good call-- and I agree, I'm mentally in the 16-17 range ;P

Well, one of the good things about being a "senior" member is that it's nice to see that some things don't change (namely Manti's av and sig ^^)

it's nice! it really is!

Ah, looks like I've stayed in the same age range. I'll be turning 17 this month, that reminds me...
I wonder if the population of the forum changed greatly after the Big Crash at the end of last year. This place doesn't attract a HUGELY disproportionate amount of young people (13-17ish), it gets a healthy crowd of >20s, or so it seems. Maybe it's because of the kinds of threads I go to,...

This would require hacking the vB forum code, there's an easier way to achieve a similar effect.

Instead of the poll asking "How old are you", it would ask "What year were you born" and (for example) list the options

After 1996
1996 to 1992
1991 to 1987
1986 to 1982
1981 to 1977
1976 to 1972
1971 to 1967
1966 to 1962
1961 to 1957
Before 1957

I was thinking of creating such a poll when Catgirls beat me to it by creating this thread. Mind, I was only thinking about it Maybe next time we can do it this way (but there are some advantages with the currect setup over this).

I find it interesting how the numbers shifted up to a majority of 20-24. I wonder if it's new members in that age range, or if it just reflects existing members growing older.

As for me, I'm 26.

I think it's better to create a new thread every year since it will display what age group is dominating the forum in that particular year... that and this setup is a lot easier to understand...

Seconded... public polls should only be used when nobody intends to hide they're vote...
