OMG... is this real? Who is Wolverine?
I like anime/manga and comics but japanese could do some efforts... I think they can do a very good anime with their studios (I'm not sure Ironman or Wolverine will please me )...

seriously!? wouldn't it be much better if they did it in the "Blade of the Immortal" style? instead of looking like something out of Vampire Knight...

Iron Man looks cool, but Wolverine reminds me of Saito from Kenshin and the premise doesn't fit the traditional Wolverine story at all. Not sure how receptive I'll be to the Wolverine anime, but I'll give it a shot when it first airs.
Is there any more Marvel anime being created by Madhouse besides Iron Man and Wolverine? |

Even though the bishie one is weird the art is far superior to the classic marvel franchise . No I wouldn't want to watch a show where every character looks like a neanderthal . One of the other shows I quit thanks to that was Guin .. the art seriously came off non-hetro . Lets leave that to fox kids =/

I really don't catch your drift, sorry.
But if you're implying that Guin's art is somehow yaoi-ish (or even the art of the classic Marvel franchise, as you put it) then, maybe there is some kind of beef to be had with some people (I'd think).

Had to spend a good 20-25 minutes searching this hope it helps : ( . There was an article on Sankaku which showed the contrasting art styles over the ages . The article was titled " Evolution: 50 Years of Shonen Sunday & Shonen Magazine " . Art styles have evolved over the ages in comic / manga publication . Series mentioned earlier would have been better if the art style was updated IMHO . I wish I could explain more but this art comparison w.r.p. to Magazine Covers might help ^__^

Yeah had said something along similar lines w.r.p. to character designs changes on Wolverine . But the classic XMen designs wont sell today IMHO . Especially in Japan where the anime also has to appeal to female viewer-ship to bring in ratings . Most of the popular shows going by ratings thread are the ones which appeal to both sexes

And I don't agree with you about the classic X-Men designs which won't sell today! Well, perhaps in Japan, but in France, U.S.A. for example, I think it would be ok! I think it's the bishies design which won't sell in other countries in my opinion...

The main difference between western and eastern comics is the art of story telling. In most western comics, I could hardly even call it sequential, compared to the eastern counterpart. The story just doesn't flow well, you don't have the feeling that you are actually reading something in action, imho. Of course, there are exceptions on both sides. Character design wise, I think that is really up to personal preference. I personally prefer something in between realistic and anime style, much like the style Iron man and Wolverine are being made in.
