Hello!

I know that there is many threads with this title, however I am also looking something specific... I love anime where there is a lot of comedy but at the same time I like romance...

I am looking for a new anime, which are similar to Lovely Complex and Itazura na Kiss....

These three are masterpiece, recommended these

just adding Skip Beat (funny, very funny, though the romance isn't really clearly stated , but there are some moments there) highly recommended

Toradora as someone said. I also would really recommend "ef a tale of memories" an "ef a tale of melodies" (this is more of a romantic drama). And Clannad too.

I start watching REC, but somehow didn't pull me into the story... I am more fond of funny storyline ( nothing depressing or sad aka rapes, abuses, etc... ) and at the same time have romance in it...

It has more humor after episode one, but it's not just a comedy. That's what I like about it, but YMMV as they say. Did you think the end of the first episode depicted abuse somehow? I saw it as an encounter between two lonely, vulnerable people who had shared a difficult time together. It seemed, if anything, much more realistic than many anime stories.

I have tried watching it past the episode one, but it didn't pull me into the story. Also I really didn't mind them sharing some sort of moment together... but it is very boring for me.

There is no abuse in this anime, however there is the whole life story that it is just not interesting to me. At the moment I am more into comedy, romantic animes aka Maid Sama, Lovely Complex or Itazura na Kiss, you know...

So, please if anyone has more suggestions, let me know.

I did look at some manga, but I prefer anime

Have you tried rendell's posted specifically "Kimi ni Todoke" and the one I said, Skip Beat. I think if you liked love com/Kwmaid-sama you'll also like those two.

I second Kimi no iru machi and Suzuka. Made from the same authors I believe , suzuka ended but was effing great and Kimi is ongoing which is greatt !
GE Good ending is something I'm keeping up with but not liking it atm
