Thanks again everyone who helped make the Chapter 48 scanlation possible.

Don't think this was mentioned when Chapter 47 was released but it is interesting to note that when Gido is introducing Eve to Blade, he says to Blade that he met her before but they've sealed his memories. Kinda curious what 'sealed' memories they're talking about since they never really showed anything between his body accepting Eden Seeds and when he meets Eve. Kinda wonder if that's where his memory of Mengroze is from since Mengroze did appear in Blade's memory world and he must've met Blade around that time. Wouldn't that be a fun twist to see Mengroze do something to both Blade and Cruz?

Also, just another random thought, why didn't Blade learn Scan from Disk? If he had Scan, he'd be able to get everyone's three sizes by himself! And if it was anything like the anime, then he'd be able to see everyone naked, too (or at least in their panties). Maybe it's for the best though...

I think it's too soon to be jumping to conclusions about how Arclight's brainrape will affect Cruz. Is he using doppelganger to carefully search for specific information, or is he simply trying to rip out a physically implanted chip? There are too many things we don't know about the situation - it may have nothing to do with the other half of the chip, and Arclight may well be interrupted by Blade before he can do any irreversible damage to Cruz.

I think it's affect cruz, because it's AA handspear that drilled cruz brain (the same power who gutted and beheaded arca body) and there are blood spatters (it's completly different of events in eve story where there was no blood during memory travel)

Something I found strange was the fact that Gido said all of the researchers on the Adam Project was killed in that explosion, but if that was the case, how could Mengroze have been alive to treat Cruz when he was injured? Could this mean he was pulled off the project for something else? It this is true it must have happened after the accident that killed Kasumi, as we saw Eve lying on that table during the flashback in chapter 81.

As for Disk's scan ability, I always assumed Blade was unable to learn it, because he wasn't a half. That visor always appears when Disk scans something, so its probably necessary for the power to function correctly.

I always assumed he was kicked out of the Adam project after his research came to light. They said his techniques were "wrong" and "working against the wishes of god and the second christ" so it would make sense to remove a person working at cross purposes from the rest of the team. Keeping him around would have wasted resources if they were certain he was not working towards the same goal as everyone else.

^ Yes, Mengroze was fired when they found out he wasn't a real doctor. We don't know exactly when that happened, but it must have been before the events of chapter 48. For obvious reasons.

Yes, that would make sense. (In that respect, it's similar to Adam C's Needless Mutilation.) And frankly, the possibility of Blade learning such a skill is just too terrifying to contemplate...

Also, now that you mention it, kinda curious how far Arclight is penetrating into Cruz. I'm sorta expecting it to be revealed that there's something preventing Arclight from breaking through Cruz's skull and that his arm was stopped. Could be something like ANn protecting Cruz again since she's already helped him several times already. But given Arclight's expression at the end of 99, seems like he's content with what he did.

Let's see. Arca was going to tell Cruz something about his body. Of course, Arclight overheard that and stabbed her through the gut, beheaded and opened the door to her memories, and then he saw something that caught his interest. Afterwards, he drilled his fingers through Cruz's fronthead.

First of all, it would be legit to take a good look at Arclight's hand when he does that. It's shaped in a manner that resembles a large pointed spear. Here's the question now: If there's really something inside Cruz's brains, then, wouldn't Arclight's hand break apart whatever is hidden the second he shoved his hand?

Or is Arclight's intention just making a hole on Cruz's fronthead? I mean, if he wanted to kill him (obviously, that isn't in his thoughts) then why not going the fast route like he does often?

Presumably Arclight knows exactly where the data chip (or whatever) is, from Arca's memories of Mengroze (or whoever) putting it there. I don't think there's any danger of him damaging it.

Arclight doesn't need to cut off Cruz's head. Cruz's legs, arms, and head are strapped down to that operating table. If he knows exactly where that chip is in Cruz's head, this would be the quickest way to get it. Also Arclight has such a mastery of Doppelganger, it wouldn't be hard for him to drill into his head, and then pluck it out without any lasting damage to Cruz. Why he would do that, it will all depend on what he saw in Arca's head.

In regards of him putting something in Cruz head, it seems unlikely. The whole scene suggests that he followed Arca merely to find out what she was up to. He most likely had no idea Cruz had even infiltrated the building, as Arca only found out by capturing Disk, and tricking him with that communication device.

Because these are Arca's memories we are talking about, it's safe to say it's not the other supposed second chip but something else. Arca went that far to the point of slaughtering the Resistance and checked one by one all the corpses in search for the part of the data that is now in Simeon hands. The thing Arclight saw, most likely was something from when Mengroze provided Cruz with medical treatment. Because he and his sister talked about it briefly, I believe it has to be this, or at least it should be, unless there's something else I'm missing.

I don't think the doppleganger can heal brain damage, otherwise eve would be healed blade brain after the transplant.
Cruz brain is injured, only miracle, genetical experiment (adam project?) or maybe eden seed transplant could save him

She might have been able to but Blade would not have been able to relearn Doppelganger even if she had, so there was no real point in showing that if she did it.

I'm actually pretty excited to see what happens to Cruz's brain in the next chapter or so. What I'm curious about the most is how much damage was done to the brain. That alone would help us understand just how much help Cruz will need.
