Well episode 3 is out for the anime and it confirms that Vol 1 will end in the next one. Basically it seems their gonna do a 4-4-5. Four episodes for volume 1 4 for volume 2 and 5 for volume 3. If u see the first scene and the last scene you can pretty much tell what their gonna do with each episode.

i finally come to term with no Restia arc and now no Est arc.... well it's still better than an abomination rush anyway.

The sad thing about this and so many other light novels being adapted recently is that it takes awhile to get going. Unless of your name is Mokushiroku Arisu, then you get going in the first volume.

This in turn ends up making the interest for the source material much lower than it should be. Most of the novels I've read didn't really "hook" me until after atleast 3 books so anime that ends up adapting 3 usually doesn't work out very well. I was hooked onto Hataraku Maou after the anime yet it only had 2 volumes adapted(iirc) but it's one of the exceptions not the norm. In general I see 3 episodes as pretty much the "minimum" to make a halfwhat decent adaptation and it could easily go as far as 8 episodes for one book depending on the content(while I'm sure many people would find 8 episodes kinda slow it would probably satisfy most of the people who read the source).

there are also novels that gets you hook up even with only 1 book you know. Antimagic or hidan no aria done right gets me hook up even with only 1 book translated before.

Apocalypse Alice is done by Kagami and can also be considered an anomaly(for me). Its expected to sh*t hits the fans though even by his standard. THAT was fast.

Wow they really are adapting this on point. I just checked with the light novel just now. But still, it does feel kinda rushed. I guess we have to get pass volume 1 to get into it.

Well, I would say that they definitely made a super effective combination between Est's anime voice actor and her personality from the light novel.

Too bad that Est's volume mostly likely won't be adapted into the current anime season, since if I remember correctly it was after that volume that Est's trolling moments have started to increase...

So looks like episode 4 ends vol 1. This means the anime will end at vol 3 which is the end of the first arc. Judging from BD/DVD pre-order points, the anime is not liked much. Doubt the LN will be receiving much boost in sales too. So I guess we can forget about this series ever receiving another anime season.

Most of us here understood that it wasn't likely getting another season despite the need. and that it wasn't covering its namesake the blade dance

The LN just felt more natural read compared to watching the anime which feels a little rushed at the moment. But if you consider what's in the LN it might be a little rushed as well. Volumes 4+ show alot of the character development so a second season would be great but unlikely.

Does the author ever let up with the *harem member A does perverted thing, harem members B through (insert appropriate letter here) throw a jealous snit and attack the boy who did nothing wrong*? Because practically every other light novel author and manga author in existence has done that one before, and it got old after the first half-dozen or so times, so the following 796,821,346,258 times (roughly) it's been used since then have kind of fallen flat.

Get used to it because you're going to see it constantly in this series. All the harem members are the jealous type and will blame and beat up Kamito no matter who's fault it is, and it's rarely if ever his. It's still happening even in the current volume.

If it helps, Kamito does tend to counter much more than usual for an MC of this genre. Claire in particular gets teased to no end.

It's not rushed at all. I really can't see how it's 'rushed'.

it feels rushed because most people are so used to the LN pace and reading it that way seeing the events this way are rushed I must admit after the first episode I was surprised how quickly they moved through things but they've done very well so far

Please explain on why it would turn worst if restia said to Kamito on what's happening on the elemental lords? their madness and the reason for killing them.

There should be a contingency plan there and they should plan it in secrecy. If its planned assassination or at least restia had a escape plan when sh*t hits the fans then the will of the dark elemental lord won't be contaminated and they won't be even separated.

Restia keeping it secret from Kamito even though he is only doing the blade dance because Restia had a wish and because of the old hag.

If they only talk it through.
