I liked the episode overall but it wasn't too entertaining overall.
2/3 was flashbacks to episodes i saw 100 times...

But finally back on track. I wonder what will happen next.

Heavy flashbacks were to be expected, this is the beginning of a new story arc involving characters that havent been really seen for years so they had to show the background for Sasuke, Itachi and Orochimaru for the new watchers.

The flashbacks, omg the flashbacks, with a bunch of crap talk mixing in the way. It's as if we didn't watch Naruto so they had to explain what happened earlier, yeah, EXPLAIN. I don't think that theres people who watched naruto shippuuden straight away.The Tsunade part was also a huge waste of time. So overall i forwarded like, maybe 5 times.

Though the animation was great, but heck, its just less than 15 minutes of it.

I do expect flashbacks for this epi but seriously it's too much, so i'm hoping that next episode won't be a let down.

Well too bad there were so many flashbacks. But at least they got those done and can hopefully just focus on the fight now. Should be a good one with both Sasuke and Orochimaru ready to go at it. With it time to transfer Orochimaru is not in a great condition yet if Sasuke is sloppy he loses his body.

Oh well either way one of those guys will go down which isn't a bad thing.

With Orochimaru caughing blood, this must be his end. Sasuke seems pretty fit and he made the first move. Of course making the first move doesn't mean making the last aswell.

I don't think we'll ever be done with fillers...but for the moment it looks like its back on track.

Still oring though...this isn't my fav arc either....

But thats only cause I'm not a Sasuke fan.

all i gotta say is that awww orochimaru is sick and looks so harmless xD. haha serioiusly hes face is like hes not a bad guy at all. and is it just me or the flashbacks looked better animated than the ones from now? the colors are better now tho.

Slow, and not my favorite subjects. But I think they did a good job of contrasting Sasuke and Orochimaru, and they used quite a bit of symbolism to. (Not so much the too-obvious snake and hawk, I was impressed by the butterfly that flies into the flame)

They better not use this crappy filler style art work in the REAL acts. The graphics are just disgusting.

It looked like Orochimaru was going to try taking Sasuke's body before Sasuke
could get his revenge on Itachi.

I guess Sasuke decided on a pre-emptive strike.

I could be wrong but it seems like they are rushing the fight, from Orochimaru jumping out of his body to the silver scaled snake to surrounding Sasuke and him releasing.

lol'd at animal deaths. First burning moth my instant comment "dumbshit." Then the rat "pwnt." Then the snake "lolz." Then there's the 'hawk > snake' comment to which I reply "but the snake made the hawk..."

I enjoyed this episode. Despite all the flashbacks, I felt like a lot went on. Also, some of the flashbacks were technically new and somewhat informative. For example, I enjoyed some of the flashbacks which depicted in detail the various kinds of experiments Orochimaru was doing. But seeing how many of you so far seem to disprove of this episode almost makes me wonder if all the fillers might've just lowered my own standards *that* much.
