Volume FOUR is coming out on September 27, same date as the last episode of S2, if I'm not mistaken. Whether there will be a volume five depends on Kakifly. However, the chapters contained in volume 4 are being serialized in the magazine, hence the information about it floating around the net.

Looks like anime and manga will both end the series as predicted by some - the timing was very convenient (September end).

That last panel does seem that it's not all tears though

And of course, for everybody else, they'll be rollin' in the royalties for a while...

Slight ray of hope: manga end =/= story end. Kakifly will finish up the current story, but it's possible a new one will start at a later time.

OTOH, stopping when the series is at its climax may be better, to avoid Jumping the Shark should he continue.

Technically, if they take the band into university - it'll be as HTT on their own time. "K-ON" refers to the high school CLUB. So.... you can't call the series K-On after they graduate, eh?

((yeah, yeah... just pointing out the glimmer))

I wouldn't be terribly upset if the series ended, but I was getting used to periodic fixes of new music from them. THAT I'd miss.
