***(copies info from his Kakyuusei page so that he doesn't have to rewrite the same thing for the twentieth time)*** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are THREE anime with the title of "Kakyuusei or Kakyusei" (spelled either way). The oldest Kakyuusei anime from 1995 is unrelated to the more recent two Kakyuusei anime from 1997-1998 and 1999. Here they are in the order of their release. The easiest way to tell them apart is by examining the girls school uniforms:</P> http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...me.php?id=2392 1. Kakyuusei OVA (4 episodes)(1995) The girl's school uniforms are orangish-red and white with light green trim. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...me.php?id=2393 2. Elf version Kakyuusei OVA (4 episodes)(1997-1998) The girl's school uniforms are mostly dark red with dark blue trim. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...ime.php?id=179 3. Kakyuusei TV series (13 + 1 bonus episode)(1999) The girl's school uniforms are mostly dark red with dark blue trim. The first two episodes of the Kakyusei OVA (1995) were released in English under the title of "First Loves" by SoftCel on VHS. The third and fourth episodes were NEVER released into English. The story of this Kakyuusei anime was not based off a game. The Elf version Kakyuusei OVA (4 episodes)(1997-1998) and the Kakyuusei TV series (13 + 1 bonus episode)(1999) were based off an Elf company ren'ai (romantic love) game called "Kakyuusei". Kakyuusei is one of the most popular ren'ai games of all time. The Age Rating of The Three Kakyuusei Anime: Kakyuusei OVA (4 episodes)(1995) - each episode had adult scenes so all four episodes were adult. It's an old adult anime though so the adult scenes are pretty mild compared to todays adult anime standards. Elf version Kakyuusei OVA (4 episodes)(1997-1998 ) only the fourth episode had two minutes of adult content in the adult version of the fourth episode. There is also a non-adult version of the fourth episode with a scene of Mizuho brushing her teeth and a couple of additional scenes of dialog near the conclusion. You could technically call the non-adult version the "official" version now because Pink Pineapple chose to release only the non-adult version to DVD and not the adult version. You can't see the adult version of the fourth episode unless if you buy it on old LD or VHS formats (Although you're really not missing much in the H-version anyway - just 1 minute 52 seconds of soft H scenes without much dialog). Kakyusei TV series (13 + 1 bonus episode)(1999) was completely non-adult. Do NOT rely on AnimeNfo's "Kakyuusei" listing here: http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,6...kakyuusei.html Most of the info AnimeNfo gives is from the first Kakyuusei anime - the Kakyuusei OVA (1995) - (the picture, its partial English distribution title "First Loves" and anime description summary come from it). But if it is trying to be a listing for the Kakyuusei OAV (1995) anime then it wrong in the description of the number of episodes and year of release. The Kakyuusei OVA (1995) was only 4 episodes long not 13 as shown there. I have all four of the Japanese OVA tapes and the story DEFINITELY concludes after four episodes. The AnimeNfo listing also states that its "Year of Release" was 1999 when in reality it came out in 1995. I have given them information six times hoping that they would correct their listing (since April 2003) and they still haven't changed it. Instead they just keep the wrong information up there and keep making people think that the Kakyuusei OVA (1995) was 13 episodes long or that Kakyuusei "TV" series was an adult anime. %#@*! I would prefer them to have no Kakyuusei page at all than to having one with the wrong information on it with them never correcting it. >_< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Kakyuusei anime we were talking about was the Kakyuusei TV series. The Elf Kakyuusei OVA is already being worked on. Someone said that the Kakyuusei 2 TV series will be out in October 2004. |

First three are all by Takahata, so its self-explanatory:
1) Adventures of Hols, Prince of the Sun 2) Chie the Brat 3) Gauche the Cellist 4) Free Whale Peak - Don't know much about it, but apparently its a feature film by Koji Morimoto (the guy who did Noiseman Sound Insect, Magnetic Rose, and the Beyond segment from the Animatrix) The next three are all by Osamu Tezuka: 5) Cleopatra, Queen of Sex 6) 1001 Arabian Nights 7) Journey to the West/Alakazam the Great - The liscense expired, right? 8) Space Runaway Ideon 9) Nasu: Summer of Andalusia 10) Any World Masterpiece Theater series currently unsubbed |

Oh I love these pointless topics
"My wish list is..." (mental masturbation) Who cares!!! if you want to see it subbed, try to do it yourself or email 100 of the fansub groups to see if they can do it. Like someone gonna start these titles because somebody did a stupid topic about it... nobody is listening to you, people!!! |

***Well... let's see...
1st: most of the VHS masters are lost (And their quality... urgh)...*** Im sorry but you are dead wrong my friend, is just a matter of ask who has it and you will find plenty of people that still distro on vhs, I own a monster collection of vhs masters and also almost half of the titles that people are requesting here... on vhs and I can put it on dvd but I dont have the need, and with awesome quality, you just need to ask and deal..hehe. But the babies here just cry for free torrents and anime fans grow cheaper by teh minute so, are they willing to track down a vhs or a laserdisk just to find the anime that they want? plus they are picky b@stards. **2nd: Most of old-school fansubs already ended, so finding something subbed by them is almost impossible.*** For you maybe...Did you ask if someone still has vhs tapes? again for the right offer you can have access to dvd transfers from rare vhs masters, if I dont have it, my old contacts from hitokiri haven, vortex fansubs, kodocha anime or my old www.soyokazefans.com will get it to you, not free ofcourse, but affordable enough. ***3rd: if you are calling other guys n00bs, why don't you pick a really old anime you like and sub it?*** Gotcha, kimengumi is from the 1987 and thanks to me, 13 episodes are availiable, and coming very soon I will release Arrow emblem: the hawk of the grand prix, between others. ***Funny is... this thread is almost 1 year old, and only now you blessed us with your negative comment Ichido...*** Oh my, the spoiled kid got angry 'cause he can't milk his connection with sweets he wants with a spoon in his mouth? I will never get tired to slap in the face of the leechers that the anime paradise is not "that" perfect and those "wish lists" are pointless unless a group is asking you what title you want... Look at the thread, even one guy is asking for the super mario anime that is known only on legends, that is stuff you just have to go to japan to obscure stores to track down vhs and transfer it and I would really respect the guy that can find it, but just ask for it? In a summary, I will tell you the truth about each series that people is asking, first of all , I did an edition of : A) what is on hong kong dvd released already (hkdvd) for short, visit: www.anime-cartoon.com www.animegod.com B) vhs is on fansub, a little work will make you get this here we go.... 10. Sailormoon R (on vhs and hk dvd) 09. Mobile Suit Gundam (on hk dvd) 08. DragonBall GT (hk dvd) 07. Pokemon, Digimon,YuGiOh (nobody cares anymore, you will never see a fansub, try hk dvd) SDC Orguss (hk dvd) Dr. Slump (2 vhs tapes availiable but only on r2 if...) Dragonar (hk dvd) L-Gaim (hk dvd) SD Gundam (which one of the many?) Outlanders (on vhs, I saw it on suncoast) Space Battleship Yamato (hk dvd) 2. Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken (somebody is doing some eps, darn hard to find) 1. Galaxy Express 999 TV (full eps on fansub vhs and courtesy of L-E) Ojamajo Doremi (full availiable on vhs) Grandeek (one ova of 90 minutes fansub) Parappa rappa (on my list...) Kodocha (hk dvd and also licensed) Hell Teacher Nube (never released commercially, tv only, 1 tape fansubber with 4 eps) Dream Hunter Rem (recently released on digisub, boring as hell) Tokimeki Tonight (boring as hell) Pastel Yumi (if someone buy the r2) Xabungle (hk dvd) Tico and Nanami (availiable on vhs fansub) Ochame-na Futago (Twins of St. Claire's) hope to see it Sweet Mint (???) Queen Millennia (fansubbed on vhs) Nanako SOS (fansubbed on vhs) Legendary Idol Eriko (never released on my knowledge) Minky Momo (fansubbed on vhs but hard as hell to get) Mama is a 4th Grader (fansub vhs) Litle Princess Sara (hk dvd) Tonde Buurin (super pig, dont ever bother with this piece of crap) Shurato (it will never happen) 1.shin megami tensei devil children (a couple of raws around, nothing else) 2. sazae-san (god hear you, sazae san is not availiable for sale in japan ever!!) A Dog of Flanders (hk dvd, hard to find) Ashita no Joe (hk dvd, the first 30 eps and all the movies) Mysterious Cities of Gold (you can find tv rips on p2p sites) 2. Space Runaway Ideon (hk dvd) 4. Heavy Metal L-Gaim(hk dvd and vhs too, but the dvds are screwed)) 5. Zambot 3 (hk dvd) 6. Xabungle (hk dvd) 7. Brave Raideen (hk dvd) Ayatsuri Sakon (a couple of vhs & digisubs around, never completed) Majuu Zensen THE APOCALYPSE (hk dvd) Nangoku Shounen Papuwa-kun (not availiable in english) Generation of Chaos III (why you want to see the prologue of a game that you will never play?) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And to finish this topic, there is only one movie that I want to see released, and I will do it myself to demonstrate that a bit of work you can do the same. HASHIRE MELOS (Run Melos) A movie done by the legendary fansub group ODYSSEY and even if you want to find it on dvd or vhs, is not availiable anywhere, it was done on LD and by the same team that did "magnetic rose" on "Memories" By katsuhiro Otoomo. The movie will bring you to tears and it will be availiable for the first time online. ofcourse, my tribute goes for L-E and all the other fansubbers that goes the extra mile just to see their projects done. |
