I see Baka-Tsuki is in a translation process of this novels, so, if someone want the scans, please (*bleep*) and I'll send the them for their translation, but please, translate it! (my japanese is level... -1? ^^', well, well, maybe a Level 2 and is very poor to translate very good all novels... think! I talk spanish really! =P).

The B-T team already owns all the novels and is working as fast as their real lives permit. Just continue to read there. Translating a novel series is an enormous undertaking and requires writing skill. It isn't just a matter of "babelfishing" the text.

However, kudos to you if you *bought* the novels and scanned them in. However, offering them is quite likely a violation of the forum rules on warez or licensed materials. I'd advise reading the rules and perhaps asking a mod about it so as to avoid potential banning or post deletion.

I can unconfirm it for you, the 14th episode title is "The Palm-Top Tiger of Happiness"

Which is the name of the first Spin-Off story.

Anyway, I think they'll go back to 2 eps per novel after this, given that Vol. 5 is the longest anyway.

Thanks for correcting me.

What is the spinoff about? What vol of the light novel does this cover?

It is in volume 2. It has to do with a freshman who hears that if you touch the Palmtop Tiger you will have good luck, but he doesn't know what a Palmtop Tiger is. It is very funny.

Yes, as Kaisos has said, this IS the spin-off, thank you very much.

Apparently its already on baka tsuki as a story. Hope it stays faithful to the original!

Judging by some of the scenes in the preview, it might be an original arrangement of part of the Spinoff chapter and the beginning of volume 6.

Anyway, March release for volume 10 (which should coincide with the end of the anime broadcast). Since this is being described as the superdreadnought class love comedy finally reaching its climax, there's a chance the anime will do something similar for the cross media effect, or may be not.

March release?

That nicely coincides with the last two or three episodes.

Now let's see if JC Staff can't screw it up this time.

Today is a good day, heh.

Just finished volume 7. That was an amazing volume. The emotions of the characters had reached a new peak, kind of wish they could've actually done this by Christmas just to make the atmosphere go with that of RL calendar. In a way the climax of volume 7 makes me sort of doubt how well volume 8 can carry it on due to the school ski trip back drop, but I'll soon find out over the next few days. Really can't wait to see how they would adapt volume 7. Plus looking forward to some amazing voice acting as well as there're a lot of realisation of the characters' own feelings which should lead to some really moving scenes.

Which I predict there will be more moaning and complaints from other fans that the series should stick as comedy anime instead of injecting anything serious.

I just ignore the same complaints about the "Why's there something serious in my comedy" like in the threads for Clannad. I can appreciate a well written story.

I enjoy series that do both comedy and drama well. Toradora is definitely one of these.

Clannad was never a comedy in the game. It had comedic moments, but was never a comedy.

Too bad people don't seem to realize this...

Finished volume 8. I take back what I said with doubting how volume 8 can top volume 7 because the execution is breath-takingly intense.

Spoiler:

Going onto volume 9, with how intense the story is moving I'll probably finish this volume before the end of the year.

Personally I prefer volume 8 over volume 7, volume 9 is pretty
Spoiler for la:

However, I disagree with you Houkoholic that 10th volume will be enough for this series. The way volume 9 ends I think the series should end at volume 11th rather than 10th because there are still things left to resolve and relationship to build.

Is there a fixed schedule as to when Baka-Tsuki makes releases for Toradora! chapters?

It seems to be every 3 to 4 weeks or so from what I observe, but they might be random for all I know.

No one is working for money so there are no schedules whatsoever. Simply you translate when you can. There was a few month period when I was translating ZnT chapter in 2-3 day period, now It is back to 3-4 weeks again as life caught up with me...

Same goes with Toradora translations. You just translate it when you can.

Agreed, it's simply amusing to see how some people get into a tiff about it. The comedy bits are there to 'lighten up', fan service as it were. Like a bit of flavoring added but not the main meat of the story.
