the MC is a Point of Light in a grey world sinking ever deeper into the darkness. Chosen by the Gods after a trial (fighting a end boss at end of vol1) to give hope a populace without hope.

the three Undead are last of the Heroes who fought against the demon king a couple of hundred years ago. They became undead to watch over the seal of the demon king and have kill plenty of Demonkins who sought to release the Demon king. The MC as a newborn was use as a sacrifice to release the demon king but was rescue by the 3 hero, who then raise him as their own. For food, Mary (cleric) would use Wish to create it for William. The Goddess that Mary Worship (and eventually William) doesn't seem to be worship much by the outside world. People look at him funny when introduce himself as a Cleric of said Goddess. Then become amaze when he show kind of Clerical power he has.

Is that supposed to be the always occuring "You have to atone for your sins (though you are not responsible for what you did and it's not really something I should push my nose into, but whatever), repent." And the so popular selfsacrificing + seigi baka?
And to top it off some psychological whining of MC ("I can't save all but I so want", "Why aren't all the people good?"...)?

Yeah, but you know, at least normally (and normall on Narrou really isn't too high standard) done romance means, that it is worth (or at least you won't straight regret) reading it, which does not apply to other themes. So yeah, I have been avoiding this series because of it not having romance too.

And the goddess of death who is his main Guardian deity.

Plus there's lots of flags all over the place lots of girls he met.

But if there really was romance (MC's, if MC has none and other guys have it is even worse than none at all) I am sure you would have mentioned at least one heroine. And godesses don't count, they usually rarely appear, rarely speak with MC and the only less probable thing than them becoming a couple is chance of MC's pet getting stolen.
