So ppl just going to ignore Kenji Kamiyama for the sake of this rehotric lol. Im excited for this! Gits stood the test of time. Imagine if ppl said no sac cuz innocence was so bad. Smh

Arise is not bad. Not bad at all. It's more in line with the manga.

Anyway, I'm excited for this new iteration. More GITS anime is good.

I'm not sure how excited I am, but GITS:SAC is some of the best that TV anime can offer, so for that reason only I'm cautiously optimistic about this.

Arise, though, was a huge disappointment (and I don't think it's more in line with the manga at all, it's really not), and let's not even get into the live action movie.

I actually liked Arise, it was no SAC, but wasn't bad either. Also having Kamiyama involved is a big plus. I also liked Aramaki's appleseeds. I am excited. More Gits is a good thing. Also my hype from the live action needs an outlet since it wasn't satisfied. Though the timing is a little suspect.

^ Wait, Aramaki & Kamiyama will do a full season of Netflix Blade Runner and this new SAC? Busy year for them. Also, after Blade Runner 2049, now we have SAC 2045? Is slapping "204(something)" onto the title of an old sci-fi franchise a thing now?

20XX was common for years. The real problem is they should send it forward another 20 years or so since it's obvious we won't be doing GITS like stuff in 2045.

Makes me wonder if the production crew can do an episode or two for a non-story arc episode as such since each season will have 12 episodes as planned?

Science fiction writers very often overestimate the rate at which science advances. They're just following the "tradition", I guess.
