Pretty good episode.

The background story between Krista/Historia (finally, we can call her by this name with this episode) and Ymir is interesting. At the same time, I like how this show developed their relationship so far.

Ymir's Titan form isn't strong imo but pretty fragile. Among the titan shifters so far, I'd think she's probably one of the weaker ones although she has a decent degree of control over it.

All of them that arent Eren, Armen and anyone else allied with Eren... deserve slow deaths.

Sorry but when Annie swung people around and murdered Levi's Squad. I already began my hope that they are tortured brutally and killed.

Part of the reason why I dont give a SHIT about Ymir or what ever her stupid name is.

It was in the manga, albeit it seems it was longer in the anime.

I was finally starting to warm up to Ymir, too! Shit, man. I wonder what Historia knows that's so important. Maybe her father's got some secrets.

Awesome episode. I dun recall it being this good in the manga, but the anime really brought this part to life, even the flashback.

Did her Titan form talk like that in the manga? I can't recall.

Eren could make some sounds, and we dun know about Annie's.

It could have been used as a plot point (or maybe it is).

Good episode with some background about Christa's/Historia's past and Ymir's fight with the Titans.
Looks like the next episode is another Titan vs Titan fight.

Excellent episode. I like that Ymir/Crista fleshed out more and Eren gets his first kill. Also Mikasa gets to show what a badass she is. At least equal with Levi.

Not to disagree with the writers of the show who would never throw away common sense in favor of plot but couldn't Ymir transform, pick them up in her hands and then run away.

She might be able to, but would they buy that she's on their side right away? (Not to mention that the two dudes remembered what Ymir did to their friend and they probably wouldn't just trust her right away from our POV but that's not the point really).

Besides, it wasn't really a viable alternative as they would have quite evidently wiped either way if not for the Recon troops arriving in the nick of time.
Even if it were, Ymir made a choice and couldn't have known for sure which one would have a more favorable outcome. Remember what Levi told Eren about choices when Annie was chasing them?

Or, maybe Ymir already knew there wasn't any viable choice to begin with and chose the one she wanted for herself? We weren't shown the flashback for no reason.

This is not so much about what makes sense from a viewer's POV. It's about seeing from their perspectives and drawing your conclusions.

Interesting to note that Reiner had a suspicion on Ymir when handed him that canned food with different letters. Meaning she can read them. The canned good didn't belong in the walls. Somebody was using it as a base.

Ymir is the third Titan that talks so far. Monkey Titan is one who is the other? In the special the Titan that ate the scout that left an account of a aberrant Titan that says... Ymir-sama.

Ymir kept her name out of pride. Did this Titan know her?


Now Ymir according to Norse mythology is the ancestor of the Jotuun or giants.

i have a theory.. i think the whole titan thing is very old, i think it started with people transforming into titans by scientific methods and whatever happened they became enemies with humanity, i think these titans hold the secrets and they know a way to transform people into titans (non-intelligent titans), i think that beast titan is from that generation, he's an outsider and he has never seen the cities inside the walls and he's never seen a 3d manoeuvre gear. i think he just came, climbed the wall and entered the city we all saw how he climbed the wall in the latest episode so easily, i think Conny's village are the titans traveling in the city (since no hole in the wall was found) and the beast titan went there and transformed them and he's controlling them, remember the village was wrecked with no blood or remains found with a-weak enough to walk- titan resting on a house suspected to be Conny's mother.. and the beast titan is controlling them, Human titans can control other titans like Annie, the colossal and the armored titans.. may be Krista/Historia's family knows the history and knows the secrets, maybe Annie, the collosal, the armored titans and other titans are just trying to have vengeance from mankind for what it did to their families ( the Generation that turned into titans and made enemies)

it's just a theory im assuming everything logically but im positive that Conny's VILLAGE'S PEOPLE ARE THE TITANS INSIDE THE WALL!
