The first is great, it's the "2nd arc".
The second track is "dark" .
I also highly recommend the first one, it's so dramatic and romantic like a dark opera play.
Spoiler for Phantom Requiem OST 1:

The original music really is great. There were plenty of variations of the same track that didn't make it sound used up either, namely Cal's theme.

I recommend Canzone of choir and Canzone of voice. Also Transparent is great (IIRC, it only plays near the end of the anime only).

Demifall: cut that audio segment out and use Tunatic to identify it.

man you have no idea how badly i wished cal would just somehow wake up from the floor and be like just kidding. she was a pretty bomb character. the way he gave up trying to explain what happened after the bombing incident was truly a pity, and at the same time the way she misunderstood the situation and his feelings were also pretty painful to watch but sometimes bitter endings arent bad occasionally though i would've prefered a happy ending. yeah i def felt like crap after watching this series at their misunderstanding and that one car scene in an alternative universe only made it that much worse but it was still nevertheless a kickass series

I agree, a shame how there was just didn't seem to be any time for them to truly explain the situtation to each other. It had gotten way too out of hand.

After listening to "Cazone of death part I" track from the OST that plays I liked Cal even more as I saw her in a more "tragic character" light, especially thinking back on one of Reiji's final lines with her which was something along the lines of "Somewhere down the road we just messed up...that's all". Such a simple statement...but sadly so true.

So much...mess...went down because a simple misunderstanding. It was just really sad and painful scene for me to rewatch nowadays. Listening to that track still chokes me up a little sometimes because it reminds me of it.

This is definitely one of the better 2009 full season shows. But there does not seem to be any DVD/BD release for this show, in the US or Japan. Have not seen any ads for DVDs in the recent japanese animation magazines... or any rips out for that matter.

Did it do that poorly in the ratings that disc releases were canceled? I was hoping for some bonus footage of an alternate ending on the discs...

You won't find any rips because it's licensed by notFunimation, and they put their foot down on that sort of thing. I'm sure they'll be released in due time.

I doubt there will be bonus or alternate ending stuff. It'll ruin it all if you ask me, I mean, the ending is totally left up to the viewer to interpret and leaves them an opportunity to be happy, sad, or mad.

Since this doesn't have it's own forum. I am posting these renders because images from this anime are hard to find, if you do not own the game.

Spoiler for EinXZwei Renders:
