man you have no idea how badly i wished cal would just somehow wake up from the floor and be like just kidding. she was a pretty bomb character. the way he gave up trying to explain what happened after the bombing incident was truly a pity, and at the same time the way she misunderstood the situation and his feelings were also pretty painful to watch but sometimes bitter endings arent bad occasionally though i would've prefered a happy ending. yeah i def felt like crap after watching this series at their misunderstanding and that one car scene in an alternative universe only made it that much worse but it was still nevertheless a kickass series

After listening to "Cazone of death part I" track from the OST that plays I liked Cal even more as I saw her in a more "tragic character" light, especially thinking back on one of Reiji's final lines with her which was something along the lines of "Somewhere down the road we just messed up...that's all". Such a simple statement...but sadly so true. So much...mess...went down because a simple misunderstanding. It was just really sad and painful scene for me to rewatch nowadays. Listening to that track still chokes me up a little sometimes because it reminds me of it. |

This is definitely one of the better 2009 full season shows. But there does not seem to be any DVD/BD release for this show, in the US or Japan. Have not seen any ads for DVDs in the recent japanese animation magazines... or any rips out for that matter.
Did it do that poorly in the ratings that disc releases were canceled? I was hoping for some bonus footage of an alternate ending on the discs...
