This show has some of the least likable protagonists. The only one with any redeeming qualities is the sheriff and she is mostly a background character.

I'm pretty sure at this moment, the only protagonists are Back Arrow and Shuubi.

Most of them are actually growing on me, by virtue of not being Bit or the grandpa.

Bit is clearly supposed to be like that, guess you can say kinda of same archetype as Pop (Dai no Daibouken). So I think he has plenty of space to grow and probably will.

Wakanim's subs referred to her as a "he", but I don't know if that's because they were given instructions or just them taking liberties.

They did it again in this episode. And it makes no sense because I'm not sure how anyone could mistake her as male. Boobs trumps very short hair.

The admiral has been has grown to be fairly competent in just a short time.
I guess even a dumb pawn can be useful in the hands of a grandmaster chess player.

The princess... At least she avoided being another Euphemia.

Look, i'm just saying, but the villagers deserve to be locked up, especially after acting like a bunch of animals last episode. Also, can the old man and Bit just disappear already? How about we just cut out every villager except for the two girls and leave it at that?

I believe the bird thing is a lie. I think the sister was going to have an "accident" with the princess which the brother messed up and he has been lying to cover for her ever since.
