EDIT: The commercial has Kotaro announcing in a voiceover that Zombieland Double Tap is going to be released in Japanese cinemas this week's Friday.

First episode is out and it's so good to see the idols back again!

I'm glad the Zombiedols are back, united as Franchouchou, but today it did not start great for them ever since they got their best concert. Instead their glory has worsened and with how the way the calamity has furthened, I could attribute that the sabotage couldn't be done by anybody other than the potential antagonists, which they have been foreshadowed in the past even if they don't play much role at the time. I feel bad for Kotaro (Eiji) bottoming out, drinking all day everyday seemingly because he's mad that Franchouchou's career is in decay. At the end I realized that without Kotaro, Franchouchou would not operate well as a group; even though they have improved their skills and performances, I still feel very bad that nobody would support their work.

How people reacted that the Zombiedols are in fact zombies which is more positive than expected, but could perhaps be one of the reasons why Franchouchou's decay happened? The song they are singing at the end (with Kotaro showing up at the last minute, even) features lyrics that will eventually sums up the events that will unfold the continuation. Yuugiri is playing a somewhat more important role than usual and she (and Tae) will hopefully get their own episodes, although I imagine that they may be heavily tied into the plot and especially the city of Saga as a whole.

The visuals doesn't look any different from last time, but is it just me or did the color palette softened? Music come up with new tracks but I'm still not used to it so far. Next week we will get new opening and ending by Franchouchou and I'm curious to see how they will sound. I admit that I didn't check out the previous PVs at all so that means this will unfold into a more exciting experience I guess.

The first episode pretty much told us the girls are "living" on borrowed time. Unless this was just meant to be misleading. You never know with this show.

I just sped through the first season last week (and regret not watching it sooner) so was happy to start this new season, but was a bit disappointed it started on a bit of a downer note. It fits with the comedy genre, just hope they don't retread the rise to fame plot too much.

At least it looks like they're picking up on the loose threads from last time, like that mysterious bartender. And its nice to see the group still united, aside from Kotaro and whatever he's been hiding since the start. Hopefully its back to full speed ahead again next week.

The first episode worked as a nice reintroduction, but I hope too much time isn't spent on them rising out of obscurity and poverty.

Apparently the girls may have a time limit for how long they last as zombies, though there may be something else going on there.

Didn't really see too much into the first episode. Not too funny, bad (was it this bad in season 1?) CG. Probably will spend half of this season paying back debt, and then I guess use the last part to make another concert?

Not like there is anything else to watch today, so let's see how it goes.

That was a realistic situation idol groups can face, with many groups out there one wrong move can make a big difference. I look forward to see them bounce back from it.

Man, what a downfall. 1,66%? Holy crap, any group would kill itself after such a disaster! Oh wait, they are already dead.
Girls really showed their spirit by working their debt off while Kotaro was only getting drunk in his despair. Seems he rushed a bit too quickly there with the EFS.

But boy, the girls really look dead without Kotaro's amazing make-up skills. Dude should give up on being a producer and go full on make-up stylist career. xD

Now that was more like it. Saki episodes are the best. I also missed Kotaro's speeches.

Now we're truly starting things off ,and with an episode focused on best girl too! The guy she fell for was a pretty cool dude, though it was pretty clear her feelings couldn't ever be returned.

Now that's more like it, its nice to go back to their gradual growth and character focus, rather than the season opener silliness with a big debt (and Kotaro back to his old self for now at least). Even better its a Saki episode (even if they did recycle some of the early stuff, at least she didn't do the "you fail at Saga" thing again).

I'm glad the old guy was cool to the end, I'm always afraid when they do these kinds of episodes it'll end up with someone's reputation shattered. And always fun to see more zombie gags (haven't seen eyes pop out much, and Sakura literally drying out).

Yes I thought that white ryu was going to be someone different of what saki believe but he was this cool guy that she fell in love until the end. Its sad the their time is stopped meanwhile the world keeps on.

i dont think there is any country that wont ticket mr pompadour for riding on the hood of his car like that... his last statement to Saki was rather ironic and sad at the same time...
