Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious) series is getting an anime adaptation for July (Summer) 2022.

Synopsis

The beautiful maid Lilith has recently been hired to care for the whims of her employer's son, Yurri. However, Yurri's overzealous skepticism of her every action keeps him on edge as he suspects devious mischief being plotted behind his back. Despite his paranoia, Lilith grows fond of Yurri and often teases him as a way to further their bonding.

Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii revolves around the relationship between the cautious Yurri and his wonderfully charming maid in this day-to-day oddball romantic comedy.

Saori Hayami is taking a break from voicing Best Girls to voice a Shota Best Boi, and we've got Rie Takahashi as a busty (there's a mole on her boob!), playful, maid right alongside her for some maid and master adorable romcom antics. What more could you need ?

(Also, Rieri loves Shota's voiced by top-tier female seiyuu, so this must be the job of a lifetime ).

The Opening is pretty fun, showing Yuuri and Lilith together along with the supporting cast. Seems like Yuuri has a female friend who is going to assume he and Lilith are lovers...and is that girl on the balcony Lilith as a child ?

Wow, Yuuri is as bold and flirty as Ayumu Tanaka but lets his mind wander to the craziest things like Raido from Aharen-san. But all the better to fluster the lovely Lilith .

Kind of a sucky situation...Yuuri's parents die in an accident, he inherits a mansion, but his inheritance is so low he can't afford to pay the servants, so he's left on his own. I admire his fortitude in trying to take care of himself, but it's a good thing Lilith showed up when she did .

Lilith is the perfect maid...great at cooking, great at housework, great at livening up the place...which must mean she's a sorcerer! And Lilith plays along only for Yuuri to take it completely seriously. I love these two already .

Thank you for dreaming of witch Lilith Yuuri! Also that sexy maid eyecatch !

I think there was definitely a "love potion" in that food, but only in the sense of it being made with love from Lilith to her master .

Lilith uses his first name once and Yuuri immediately jumps into them becoming a married couple! This girl can only take so much !

Seems like Lilith immediately dropped everything at her prior employment as a maid to be there for Yuuri after finding out about his parents...and seems like she had a picture of him when he was even younger. The plot thickens .

Can't complain about a Yui Horie Ending theme that's Yuuri and Lilith having a lot of cute fun together and flustering each other

Funny how Lilith at her previous place wore a maid outfit buttoned up to her neck but when she appeared in front of young master she had a very generous boob window. One would really think she was there to seduce him...too bad for her she's the one who always ends up flustered.

There are plenty of smaller problems, but the biggest problem is that all of the jokes revolve around the guy being an absolute idiot. Not even the girl. The guy.
And you thought Shikimori's okama was bad

And as a result, it was extremely repetitive. If you weren't paying enough attention, you might accidentally think you rewinded the episode.
If this was a 5 minutes anime, sure. But this was 4+ times as long as it should be.

Another problem is that Shinigami Bocchan exists, so I know what a proper anime about a maid teasing the male protagonist looks like.

She cooks, she cleans, she buys you new clothes and gaming consoles! What's not to love about Lilith? It's no wonder Yuuri is already proudly declaring his intention to make her his and marry her by episode 2 !

(Although how is she paying for all this? I got the sense Yuuri wasn't that rich...is she using her own finances? Or both ?)

I don't know what's cuter, a stray cat, Lilith playing with said cat or Rie Takahashi making cat noises. And Lilith gets the treat of watching her master grow attached to and bond with a cat, which was pretty wholesome. Although of course Lilith wishes she could get petted...and then chad Yuuri actually does it like it's the most natural thing in the world !

Time for some intimate cooking time as Yuuri tries to fathom the delicious meals Lilith makes! But it all comes down to love and enjoying the food the person you love or loves you makes for you, which Yuuri quickly believes and loudly proclaims how much Lilith must love him after all this time to Lilith's immense embarrassment. These two may as well have just confessed to each other at this point .

Yuuri is suspicious of Lilith even in his dreams, but really Lilith only stays up long enough to watch her beloved master sleep soundly and caress his hair like a girl in love, and watch him adorably sleep with their new cute. Too cute .

Treating us one last time with Lilith in the morning getting dressed. That cleavage, that corset, those garter stockings !

I kind of wonder how much money Lilith has stashed away...Can't imagine she's using Yuuri's own funds to buy him stuff and she's already working for free. So she must be tapping into her own savings to spoil him. Probably better for her to hold back on that front.

So much sweetness. It is often the same pattern, but I'd imagine that will change up once they expand the cast a bit. But for the moment it is still glorious watching Lilith getting utterly shaken up by this kid. She's far gone already and things are only going to pick up from here.

Of course if she keeps buying gifts things might become different but I don't think she would survive the embarrassment if young master is even more grateful (and suspicious) of her.
One may wonder how they manage to run such a big house but I don't think author is going to elaborate much the economics the financial aspect behind the story.

I just want them to clarify the setting because it feels like a period piece up until Yuuri is imagining getting doxxed and Lilith buys him a Switch .
