But one time I wrote a letter of appreciation to my best buddy for her birthday, and she said it ended up sound like a love letter. And I didn't want it to be like a love letter. So...I dunno how the letters would have taken in by the others.

No, lol. She's mine!
And that's the reason I equipped her with Haruhi powers whahah! ---- Anyways...Let's all agree...Yui is the ~kinda~ lazy one who can do anything if she wants to. (but one at a time)

So, a bunch of recent posts has been deleted.
From what I could see, it's the usual scenario of things becoming hot because a much loved character is insulted. Whether you consider or not "retard" as an insult (and thus if you meant to insult or not) doesn't necessarily matter. Fact is: once you see people becoming upset because of it, you should stop instead of reiterate the point. This, as a generic rule of conduct applying to each member. With this being said, please let *that* discussion be over. Also, there was a nice line from fukarming: which everybody should always remember.

WOW, KyoAni pays attention to EVERYTHING.
I was rewatching the first season of K-ON while studying (didn't end up studying) and the way Yui improves in playing guitar is amazing. From the first time you hear them play Fuwa Fuwa till the episode when Sawako gives Yui a private lesson in playing guitar. The first time she played Fuwa Fuwa there was intentional sloppiness here and there. And when you compare it to the times she's played it over the whole series, it's done nothing but gotten cleaner and smoother (very evident in episode 24). |

Is it me or is Yui the modern-day female samurai?
After all, she exemplies the seven virtues of bushido: -Rectitude (She practises alot. Episode 10) -Courage (She's able to even face an audience without shame, unlike Mio. Episode 06, 12 and 20s2) -Benevolence (She wrote a song about her sister and cares for Azusa) -Respect (She gaines lots and lots of respect by her friends, Sawa-chan and even her neighbour 'Ma despite her idiocy. Episode 09 s2 ) -Honesty (She's really honest about how much she sucks at guitars. Sure she does lie, but who doesn't?) -Honour (She gets respected by almost everyone eventhough she's a klutz. Just watch episode 06, 20s2) -Loyalty (She will always be loyal to the band. If she isn't she wouldn't be joining the other three to University) That's why i think Yui is an example of the modern-day female bushido. Yeah, she might not fit in with other bushido-following female characters who are usually those with tsundere traits, but that makes her stand out with the others. She should be an example of how bushido is alive in a modern female Japanese society. And thus, Yui Hirasawa is a modern-day female samurai, albeit a clumsy one. |

Well observed, Young Warrior. Good Form, Good Form.
Though the one thing that preculdes her from the warrior's path is the ruthlessness occasionally needed to take a life: Yui-chan simply embodies kindness too purely to walk down that final path of cruelty every warrior must be prepared for. Regardless, she is still the embodiment of the cardinal virtues fundamental to all major religions and selfless-philosophies: To be spread kindness, decency and hope with the time God gave you on this Earth for as long as you live.
