If this arc was only Jun and Carol finally becoming friends, it could have been one of the best. Carol's protracted pettiness has turned it into one of the worst. Unless the mangaka subverts expectations and somehow finds a way to suggest Carol was doing this to help Jun and Tomo, then I'll probably drop this. I don't mind drama and would normally welcome it considering how slow-paced this manga is, but this type of drama (misunderstandings galore) is neither interesting nor impactful.

I for one am totally amused by Carol's antics. I'm someone who really dislikes the harem random misunderstandings cliche, but Carol doing all of this on purpose in order to further her relationship with a male that is NOT the MC is very different from the normal harem antics found in the usual romcom. Heck, her willingness to antagonize Tomo in order to try to win Senpai's heart makes her as (or even more) unscrupulous as Misuzu, which adds a dimension to Carol's otherwise bubbly 'airheaded' persona.

What was the point of that? How is Carol supposed to even interact with Misuzu and Tomo after this arc, considering how horrible of a friend she's being. Hopefully Jun's passive misery turns into something that finally puts an end to this arc and Carol's overdone pettiness.

Misuzu always was a petty loser and cowards acting high so never expected anything from her.

However Carol is more in touch with reality despite her looks.

Also, it's just a kiss on the cheek. Probably meaningless for her.

I definitely agree about Misuzu. And yes, the kiss is certainly meaningless for Carol, but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and for the readers to find out what her end goal is. Maybe there won't be one, but I think there's a reason we haven't seen Tomo, Misuzu, or senpai in so many chapters.

The 587th chapter is even worse than the previous one. Carol's awful at the moment and it's all going to lead to Tomo walking in, completely misunderstanding (for good reason), and a subsequent hiatus. So predictably idiotic. I feel so bad for Jun.

Relax, this is not that kind of manga. It's not a big deal, it's probably what's needed to give 3 dense people a little push.

I agree on her being awful, its not idiotic though, since this is exactly what Carol wants.
behavior like this coming from her has also been forshadowed earlier on when she bullied Tomo.
