In the past, where there may have been a shortage of marriageable men, and where having women be in a position of clear inferiority was something of a necessity, having concubines may have been a societally expedient solution, but we live in a different age.

Though things don't change. If recessive genes are triggered we still would have "lesser" offspring.

I don't believe in a makeup of 100% recessive genes. Each person has a talent we must find and hone so he/she/it can contribute to the betterment of society.

My thoughts are that polygamy must work both ways, meaning both males and females must have the right to take multiple spouses. Seems that when we talk about polygamy, it almost always means a male taking on several females.

Although I think in my version it's called an open relationship...
