I have a question:

Was there ever a fic where the toaru verse had the same magic system as mahouka?

Because i think this could become really interesting, but instead of esper unable to use i want to make it a magic that can ONLY be used after having a PR, doesnt matter if it is lvl0 or 5,

There are specialized magicians (like a expert for a certain field) but no "mahouka-superpowers",

Btw, there is no ancient magic, this "new" system can only be used with CAD's and it isnt a shortcut for the normal Rituals since they are nonsense,

And, there is natural psion which cant be absorbed by the body BUT used by high-lvl magicians in order to increase the effect of their spells, of course the psion regenarates slowly so that only 3-4 spells get a boost (of course if the magician moves to another place there will be psion again, or he waits until the natural-psion came back

Critical Failure's personality: Esper overly optimistic for somebody with that level of bad luck....
There is something called Gambler Fallacy which the Esper clearly subscribe to.

"It's like striking a lottery! The more I loses, the higher chance of me winning!"

Also:

"I am not dead yet, therefore I am the luckiest person ever alive!

That is hard to argue against. Though like I mentioned before: He is so unlucky that he survived in one piece only for the sole purpose of suffering.

Level 0 Absolute Luck (Selector)
A mysterious Esper-like power that can affect phase of the world resulting in Supernatural level of luck.

However there is no such thing as a free lunch, somebody had to paid for it....usually people around her. Winning lottery may appear to be good luck but in reality this also means that somebody had to lose for the Winner to collect their prize.

Her active power may bring good luck but her passive ability(AIM) bring bad luck. The latter bring her much angst in life.....

How would other feel.... when you are the one benefited while everybody around you suffered? The treatment is probably going to be worse than Touma's.

Personality-wise, she appear to be the peerless beauty type who is good at everything that she do. Born from a rich family, she is on the naive side (not having experienced a single hardship in her life), her family only benefited more from her luck. (she is one of the top 1%). She radiate grace and elegance.

By having Critical Failure and her within certain area would result in a maelstrom of disaster (usually happening behind her).

Her family is one of the investors of of Academy City which is why the most of the Academy City factions avoid her. Her power is also proven to be highly unstable (compared to Critical Failure whose result is obvious). Messing with her could end up triggering her power subconsciously, resulting in very bad thing happening.

Kasetsu
In term of personality, he is Mad Scientist type acting similar to Okabe. Overly dramatic.

Half of the things that he invented work as intended but.... he have no idea how it work, making it useless in progressing things in the name of science that he always declared to do.

Like a certain evil machine from a certain game. He love experiment and doing experiment for the sake of experiment.

He tried to made a time-machine but that did not work out well and ended up in [ANOTHER] Academy City.

Also explain how Enji Nia have access to over-technology.

Level 2: Ability Strengthening (Exp Booster)
This ability would slowly improve ESper's ability to a point where they would level up (term of RPG... it give them EXP every few minutes until they level up). Obviously the lower your level, the faster you would level up but for level 5, it can only increase their output....because there is no enough data on level 6 to develop level 5 to 6.

Few drawbacks to this power: It is rather slow process (EXP gain slowly afterall) and the range is very limited (need body contact).

Another reason for this is because it involve modifying Personal Reality which in turn would have an effect on Esper's psychologically....which means that the Esper could easily put the other Espers under her control.

Such convenient ability doesn't exist in Original Universe due to various reason
1. Parameter List which means this ability is never developed in the first place.
2. Even if it exist, experiments done to the Esper would end up killing the Esper.

Level ?? Presence Erase (Blind-spot/Invisible Stalker):
Jokingly refer as Level 5. This Esper has the ability to complete erase his presence. Nobody would notice him and even if people saw him, people would just ignore him (they saw him but he is not important enough to remember)....as if he doesn't exist at all.

Unlike Dummy Check: He could not erase memory of having seen....if anybody see him, they would remember seeing something but have no detail of what they saw (probably attribute it to visual illusion or ghost).

There is no information on his ability and level because he never done a system test (he attended but the Researchers ignored/skipped him).

The Gag about this Esper is that because the Esper looked so generic and Nondescript, that even Robots can't recognized him because even facial recognition would fail.

In term of personality: The Esper had a crush on Saten Ruiko... he stalk her every day and constantly proclaim that one day he would confess his love for her... (however this usually set event flag for failure). Let just say that he never did manage to confess his love and even if he did.... it is doomed to fail anyway (Saten don't know him).

To twist the knife further: He is actually Ruiko's classmate.

Yes, a new chapter. I could feel the misfortune when Touma walked into the room and saw who was there. Great job as always. I look forward to seeing how the AUTO arc plays out, as well as more amusing interactions with his new teammates.

Continuing on from here, it'll probably be the last time I try to do some rendition of the invasion arc. Next one will be at best on the Daihasei University attack.

PS - I don't know if Vento's attack can take out Mugino's attacks. I'm just trying to write it out based on the former's abilities with Wind Hammer.

The last thing Frenda remembered before she went down was feeling drowsy and loosing her footing when she declared her intent to beat up on Vento of the Front.

"Frenda!" Rikuo shouted after she saw Frenda faint.

"Takitsubo! Get her out of here!" Shizuri gave her instructions to the black-haired girl. "We'll take care of this!"

"O-okay!" Rikuo placed Frenda's right arm around her shoulder and slowly began to retreat from the streets in order to get Frenda and herself to safety.

"What do we do?" The mask-wearing assassin whispered to his partner. He was worried that they're getting trouble with ITEM mercenaries, but also someone who claims to be an agent for the Vatican in Rome.

"A very good question." The balaclava-wearing assassin replied. He stared at Shizuri and Saiai, who were also unsure on how to deal with the situation.

"This is super bad." Saiai murmured to Shizuri. "Which one should we take on here?"

Shizuri glared at Vento and at the two assassins. They were obviously a big threat to the city, the latter being unnoticed by the Board of Directors until now due to their covert actions in masking their presence. This time however, ITEM was able to get the drop of them after they got surveillance images of a Hound Dog team taken out at the Julian's Restaurant, being their last deployed area.

Hmmm... That is a good question. Shizuri eyed Vento, who was smirking at her while she got her Wind Hammer ready for action.

But I got these two here who got spotted on surveillance cameras, though the operators didn't report back. Oh well...

"Let's divide ourselves, Saiai." Shizuri told her second-in-command. "I'll take on this gaijin here, you handle the assassins."

"Super okay with that." Saiai replied with enthusiasm as she prepared to take on the assassins.

Shizuri, on the other hand, was already preparing for battle against Vento herself.

Shutaura and Josh led the way for Touma and Last Order to get to the Judgement office, specifically the 177th branch office, as mentioned by the former.

"We'll go ahead and scout the block." Shutaura gave her instructions to the two of them. "Once we secure the area, you two run to the block up ahead."

"Okay." As much as Touma didn't like the idea of letting the ex-Black Crow Unit operatives go ahead, he had to admit that he can't clearly take on enemies who have easy access to small arms.

The black-haired woman went first, immediately running to the other side of the street as the local Judgement office was right in front of her. She took cover behind a parked white Nissan Crew sedan and crouched behind the engine block to give her some cover in case of a firefight. Josh went up next and took cover behind a parked white Toyota Alphard minivan. They both took aim at the street behind Touma and Last Order as they ran down the road together.

But after Last Order got on the sidewalk that led to the 177th branch office, a couple of Touaregs arrived with the blue and red LED grille lights on.

"Hound Dogs!" Josh shouted as he fired his HK416 A5 at one of the Touaregs, putting bullet holes on the SUV's doors, engine blocks and a couple of its tires. He also managed to take down a Hound Dog commando.

"I thought these guys were suppose to have ballistic plates!" Shutaura said out loud when she opened fire at the other Touareg. She did the same thing by disabling the other SUV while taking down a couple of Hound Dog commandos.

"They probably didn't have enough time to get them equipped!"

"Go! Get out of here!" Josh then shouted to Touma and Last Order. "We'll cover you!"

Touma went to make a run for it as he went up the stairs towards the office.

Saiai prepared herself to face off the assassins as they drew out their Hidden Blades.

"You guys must be either super brave or super dumb to even face me with those weapons." Saiai mocked them when she noted that they didn't have any other weapons with them.

The two assassins ran towards the ITEM agent, not doing anything except to charge her head-on.

"As I thought..." The hooded girl murmured. "These guys are super dumb indeed."

She got ready to use Offense Armor again as she went for a boxing pose, having trained to do unarmed combat in close quarters.

Except she got the surprise of her life when she saw them aim their Hidden Guns, seen on their left arms. They appear to have two gun barrels each, with the bore made for a large rifle caliber round.

"Go!" The balaclava-clad assassin shouted to his partner.

The two assassins immediately opened fire when they at arm's length, hitting Saiai's nitrogen barrier from her left and right. Their Hidden Guns reloaded again automatically before they fired again at her in the same spot.

"Dammit!" Saiai felt the brunt of the Hidden Guns hitting her barrier, knocking her down on the ground. She was also dazed by the force of the bullets after she was knocked down.

"Saiai!"

Shizuri noted that despite Saiai's use of Offense Armor, the assassins were able to close in and knock her out for the time being.

This made her do double time with her attacks on Vento.

"Is that the best you can do?!" Vento taunted Shizuri when she used Wind Hammer to intercept her beam attacks.

What the? The Meltdown saw that her beam attacks were taken out when the Vatican agent used the trajectory of the air from her weapon in order to weaken them.

"You're in my way!!" Shizuri continued to fire her beams. But Vento kept moving and used Wind Hammer to disperse the beams away from her.

"Like I said...!" Vento shouted before she swung the hammer towards the ITEM agent's chest. "You're not doing your best!"

"AAAUGH!" Shizuri coughed up blood after she got hit by the hammer, sending her down onto the ground.

The assassins nodded to each other and fled from the area, knowing that they have bigger priorities than to just face her.

Touma and Last Order were now walking up the stairs that took them to the second floor of the building, which held Judgement's 177th branch office. The doors leading to said office were opened up, with a couple of high school students with Judgement armbands confronting the two with kendo shinais.

"Who are you?!" The brown-haired high school girl shouted at Touma, pointing the shinai at her.

"You need to tell her that we're being chased by armed men, says Misaka while getting worried that the girl would attack Touma." Last Order got scared and hid behind Touma.

"Don't hurt that Troglodyte!" A familiar brown-haired girl with ponytails and the uniform of Tokiwadai came from behind the brown-high girl. "He's someone my onee-sama knows."

"You mean, Misaka's friend?" The high school girl lowered her shinai and bowed. "My apologies. We thought that you were some gangster trying to take advantage of what's happening tonight. I'm Aomi Yanagisako."

"I'm Touma Kamijou and this is..." Touma introduced himself first and was about to introduce Last Order when he thought about doing so, since Judgement doesn't know that she's a product of a black ops experiment carried out by the city.

"You must be onee-sama's sister." Kuroko was way too happy to see Last Order, thinking that she was a biological relative of Misaka.

"Kuroko..." Aomi advised her junior. "Get these two inside. We don't know what's happening outside."

Kuroko then got serious. "A-all right." She ushered Touma and Last Order inside when they heard automatic gunfire again after it was quiet for a few seconds.

Inside the office, Touma saw a black-haired girl with glasses tending to a young student wearing the uniform of Sakugawa Middle School with a artificial flower headband. She appears to be out cold and lying down on an empty sofa. Kuroko came beside her and whispered to her about Touma's arrival with Last Order.

"What happened to her?" Touma asked after he got inside the office.

"My friend got unconscious while we watched the emergency broadcast about the presence of some intruder..."

"Hey, Konori." Aomi went to see the glasses-wearing student. "How Uiharu doing?"

"Not good." The student known as Mii Konori shook her head. "I can't seem to tell why Uiharu went unconscious all of a sudden. She seemed fine a while ago."

Konori placed her left index and middle fingers on her neck to check for signs of a pulse, even if it's faint. "She's still okay. It looks like she's still breathing, except that she's not going to respond to anything if what the report mentioned from the Force is correct."

"Is... is the police even still active with all of those armed men around?!" Touma shouted to Konori when Aomi and Kuroko went to give Last Order some food and water.

"I don't think so, Touma-san." Konori said without any sign of fear. "Last report I got before HQ got disconnected was that most of the officers on duty were incapacitated. Even half of Anti-Skill was taken out when news of an intruder came around."

Shutaura and Josh retreated to the steps going to the Judgement office after they wiped out the second wave of Hound Dog commandos. They had already reloaded their assault rifles when they arrived outside.

"Touma!" She pounded on the door. "You need to move with her right away! We overheard some radio transmissions that the Hound Dogs are deployed more reinforcements here!"

The door was opened up by Touma himself when he heard the news.

"Dammit! They're so persistent." This news worried the black-haired student.

"But where do we go then, say Misaka when she heard the lady say that we need to move." Last Order asked the two freelancers.

"Best thing is to move away from this Judgement office. Even though they don't want to make themselves public if they riddled an office like this with their weapons, we still got other groups to worry about." Josh advised to Touma and Last Order. He then eyed the Judgement officers inside. "Ladies, I'm afraid that you need to stay inside. This isn't your fight right now..."

Shutaura led Touma and Last Order towards another area of the floor, where they would use the fire escape to get out of the building via alley.

Inside the Windowless Building in the 7th District, a white-haired person was seen floating upside down in his chambers. The single glass cylinder was the only thing inside the room with various wiring and cables connected to the person's body.

It seems that the reports I got on the Assassins involved aside from God's Right Seat are true then. Aleister Crowley looked at his database, reading up on reports from GROUP, ITEM, MEMBER and from the Hound Dogs with regards to the unknown individuals with white hoods since they were previously seen conducting vigilante actions throughout Academy City.

It just like back in the days when they tried to interrupt the meetings between the Templars and the Hermeticists alike when I wasn't in this room. Aleister could still remember those days when he always survived the raids from the Assassins by always running away when he had the chance to do so.

Their white hoods, hidden weapons and their combat prowess. Those were the things that made Aleister fear them so much back in the early 20th century.

But with him in charge of Academy City, he had the backing of the groups from the city's underworld who report to him and the Board of Directors with some of the most advanced technology the city has produced, it was easy enough for him to observe and assess their capabilities and see what he needs to do next. But not only he needs to be careful from being killed by the Assassins, but also from the Templars since they were getting suspicious of him from the day he created the city-state in regards to his ambiguous plans, which was in contrast to the Templars' plans for a New World Order.

Even if those Assassins have changed their objectives, they can't be hopeful to get away from UNDER_LINE.

Aleister had a smirk on his face.

As long as the Hound Dogs keep putting them in a corner, they'll have no choice but to keep running. He should have things played out in the end when he secures Last Order.

Academy City.... The bastion of Science and technology. People came in with hope and dream but not all of them found what they need....or even be alive by the end of it. There are shadow lurking behind the light of the city, dark secrets hidden away from common folks, dangerous secret that once known would literally kills.

Unless you have a reason to do so, only a fool would engage in the darkness...Nothing good will ever come out of it.

If you plan to live a long life, stay away from them. Such is the advice I would give to those who wanted to play hero.

For those who just wanted to make this place a better place... Good luck, it would never work.

Struggle as much as you want but such Abyss would not magically vanish. The Abyss is mere manifestation of the Darkness that lies within humans' heart. Greed, Anger, hate...etc.

But... at the very least you tried. So long as you tried, the light will never vanish.... actions would inspire others and others would inspire others.

It may be wishful thinking but I believe although the Dark Side will never disappear but at least it would be tad bit brighter.

Trying my hand out at Private Eye Monologue. I wanted to try to make the protagonist to give off a Hardboiled Detective feel (as if he is from Noir genre).

Even though he is kind of in the wrong genre....Too many wacky stuff on the Light-side.

-_- pure shounen sh*ts? aside from nen and jojo's. Other are not interesting for me. Well the concept of devil fruit is also good but really? that shounen magic of fairy tail, zanpakuto and chakra are pure shounen sh*ts.

magic in apocalypse alice (pretty handy with music activation)
magic system in legendary heroes and also
kyokai senjou horizon. these capital sins armaments are awesome.
even if flame of recca is shounen manga. its still good. specially with the death/soul turning into flame

before I would probably say that using life is one big price but after reading unlimited fafnir. I can say. sacrifice memory is much worse than death. specially if you don't remember the one you love and can only "act" that you remember even though your not the same anymore. You sacrifice your memory for knowledge that can "kill" the enemy.

I also like campione settings where one goes god hunting to become stronger.

strike the blood. use modern smithing to forge weapons to replicate demon exorcising spells or perform miracle. its combine of science and magic too.
nanoha. combine of magic and science and in here. its probably possible for esper to use magic with the assistance of device because the device would do the calculation and the spells are in it. you just powered it up and control it. There won't be drawback aside from how will an esper get mana because he/she is an esper and can't refine life force to turn into mana. But its possible to use pre-existing mana in the air and absorb it into the device and power it for the spell.

The problem with espers is their mind is modified to use a different system or produce AIM than mana so when the brain performs calculation for a spell or actualizing a spell. It backfires and cost damage.

by passing that problem can make an esper use magic.

yeah, it is a cool one, i didnt rad the LN but i watched the anime, from what i understood it is a pretty generic magic system, magic power -> saying stuff/making movements -> magic effect, or is it more complicated?

but i dont want this "ritual" stuff, the reason why i used this "common" "magic" systems was because they dont have rituals and spells etc.

i always thought that they dont fit in toaru but since i saw the current accel-plot i will mostlikely think about the possibbility, maybe i will include aquarion(-evol) too :/

I like the system in hitman reborn when one of the guardians combine different flame. For offensive to defensive to combining different effects. its rather interesting thing.

the system magic in apocalypse alice is simple. You go to dungeon and go farm magic. Pretty easy right? the thing is while touma goes saves girls and save thousands. Apocalypse alice go kills girls to save thousands. The magic obtain in the dungeon varies in difficulty but I like one magic of the mc which is flash magic. Its like the world world spell or accel spell of kiritsugu. The mc moves fast. faster than light. the moves last in an instant but its a flash within a flash within a flash. You move inside the micro seconds. There is also maximum usage if I'm not mistaken and probably cooldown to not overexert the body.

as for the legendary heroes. I'm not talking about the eyes. I'm talking about rule fragments itself. broken items. The anime shown where the MC is collecting them but the 2nd part of the story shows when those items are being into use. Example of it is one of the king sacrifice a part of his body to slaughter an army of thousands. While the hero sacrifice the soul of his mother to kills probably millions : that euphoria!!!!

the magic in demonbane is deus ex. robots and magic and darn. That special move of that mech will still rings to my ears.

asura crying. sacrifice love for power. 2 ways. either sacrifice the soul of your love one for battery of the burial doll(robot) or sacrifice the memory of your love one to use magic awesome!

The thing that makes me like campione is what the authority you can get from the ones you killed/hunt. I would like to hunt Quetzalcoatl to use the same magic of the eastedge in shakuhan no shana. Darn. I don't like the sky (changing views into starry night) that's better. Then start showering meteors on the enemy.

There is more to strike the blood. The anime just get the central focus and let go of the technical focus. Its better because its easier to understand than more jargon thrown into it.

If your incorporating magic and esper. The only thing I can really think of to by pass the initial law of esper can't use magic is use tools or other weapons to wield magic.

Comedy is hard.

The delinquent comedy fic I've been working on is canceled.

EDIT: I suppose the good thing about this is that now it's okay for me to share my rough draft. You know, since I'll no longer be doing anything with it.

Spoiler for City Academy Part 1:

The late-morning sun casted a heavy glow in large rectangular room. The room itself wasn’t too bright, but the concentrated beams of light flooding through the windows somehow made the walls dark by contrast. On one end of the room was the entrance, a large door fit for a person of exceptional power. And on the other side was a steady desk with a few personal items: metal pens that were scattered about, Newton’s cradle in the center, a divergence meter set to the side, and a custom engraved brass nameplate at the forefront.

‘Aleister Crowley’ was etched in black.

“City Academy...”

A tall effeminate-looking man was doing a handstand by the window. His feet peered out into the glass, gazing over territory like a vulture. His dark shadow stretched beyond the confines of the room.

“I founded this school for my own personal research, the goal of higher learning being my drive... my ‘fuel’ if you will.”

Breaking contact with the window, he began pacing with his hands.

“There were those who were courteous enough to join me in my efforts. They were pioneers. Explorers who sought knowledge beyond current human understanding. And they played a part that was essential to expediting the results I sought.

On the other side of the coin, there were those who weren’t so courteous to me. They were ignored and thrown aside like trash.”

Turning around...

“This place has grown. It’s not to the point where I want, but it’s heading towards a direction of progression. Since the time of its establishment to this time right now, it moves with an unstoppable force.”

With a tone that was cut, cold, and crisp, Aleister Crowley addressed the girl standing opposite of himself.

“Transfer Student, after all this time... don’t you think it’s amazing?”

Standing limply was a new character brimming with originality. She replied with a bead of sweat slowly rolling down her cheek.

“A-Ah... yes, it’s amazing...”

The headmaster’s lips curled into a smile.

“I thought so...”

He made a soft chuckle.

“It’s enough to make your hair stand on its ends, does it not?”

The transfer student choked a little bit. And the bead of sweat continued to roll.

“I’ll… I’ll admit, it’s amazing, but…”

The blank-slate girl bit into something that was forbidden to discuss.

“If I may ask… why are you standing upside down?”

“…”

Aleister Crowley stared blankly.

“I see you have a sense of humor. What was your name again? A-ko? That’s right. It was A-ko, was it not?”

“That’s not my name. And please don’t change the subject.”

“Ah, no. I’m not mistaken. I remember the enrollment process perfectly. It was between you, B-ko, and C-ko.”

“Please learn the names of your students…!”

The headmaster ignored the girl.

“Now that everything is settled, there’s someone I’d like to introduce you to.”

“Nothing was settled…! And you still haven’t told me why you’re standing like that…!”

At this time, a loud click rang dully, signifying that the door fit-for-a-person-of-exceptional-power opened.

A-ko instinctively turned her head behind.

Standing there...

A delinquent-like girl with dark-orange pigtails. She did not wear the school uniform as it was desired. Only the skirt and jacket remained on her being, but the jacket was being misused as some sort of cape. Musujime Awaki posed with her arms crossed under her adequately-sized bosom which was covered and held tight by what looked like athletic tape.

“What impeccable timing. We were just talking about you.”

“Is that so.”

It could be assumed that the headmaster and the girl exchanged glances, but that was impossible as Aleister Crowley’s head was not in line of sight.

“Let me introduce you to Musujime Awaki, the former ace of City Academy’s track team. Unfortunately, she had to resign from that position after a freak accident on an amusement park ride, and now she works here as my helper of sorts. She gets motion sick quite easily, so try not to move around too quickly.”

“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t talk about my psychological traumas to other people. Especially while I’m standing in front of you.”

Again, the two sort of exchanged glances.

Aleister Crowley clicked his tongue.

“Would you please be so kind and show our new student around? I’m sure she has a lot to ask.”

[ “I’m still asking. Why are you standing like that?” ]

A-ko’s irrelevant babbling sank into background noise.

“Sure. Whatever. I’ll take care of it.”

“I see you’re enthralled as always… but it’s no matter as long as the job gets done.”

Aleister Crowley coughed.

“While you’re out showing the Transfer Student around, could you stop by the convenience store? I need something sweet.”

“Letting me off school grounds? That’s sure kind of ya.”

“Let’s see… how about Chinsuko?”

“That’s sexual harassment.”

“Then melonpan. It’s been awhile since J.C.*taff represented Shakugan no *hana.”

“Are you asking to get sued?”

“Melonpan it is. And so the discussion is settled.”

[ ”Nothing is settled, damn it…!” ]

Spoiler for City Academy Part 2:

Outside the office, A-ko seemed unnerved. She bugged Musujime Awaki’s shoulder.

“M-Musujime… was it? It’s strange, right? With him standing like that?”

“Standing like what?”

Musujime replied without enthusiasm. The two girls were walking down an empty corridor. On one side, several long panes of glass displayed the outside courtyard. The other side held sliding doors that led to other classrooms. The general design of the area was very standard for a typical school shown in a shonen high school delinquent battle manga. Or maybe even a harem romcom with adult elements. That said, it was an average-looking school.

…

Musujime raised her head up from a dull realization.

“Right. If you haven’t gotten a feel for the setting yet, this is alternate universe where magic doesn’t exist and science isn’t as pronounced. Here, Academy City has pretty much turned into a normal school for normal people.”

“Exactly who’s normal...! Who are you even talking to...! That’s not normal-like at all...!”

The former ace shut her eyes with a lazy expression.

“Annoying...”

Crossing her arms behind her head, the girl looked up into nothing.

“Say, giving a tour seems like a lot of effort. Do you mind if I leave you a map and go watch a movie instead? The new *vengers came out awhile ago and everyone’s talking about it. I’m starting to feel a little left out.”

“H-Hey...! Don’t just abandon your duties...! Don’t you think people would find a girl giving a tour by herself suspicious? No, more like it’d be lonely! Please don’t leave me alone in a place I’ve never been to before!”

“But... It’s the *vengers...”

It seemed like redhead was weighing a scale inside her head.

“You can watch it later...! In fact, I’ll watch it with you...! I’ve heard that it’s pretty good! Mr. Whedon did a spectacular job! It’s a flawed movie, but its fun characterizations make up for its flaws...!”

“...”

“Mmm... Fine...”

A-ko breathed a sigh of relief. Having saved herself from a lonely afternoon by herself, she continued on with Musujime’s tour.

But the she hadn’t even taken two steps...

When suddenly...!

“…!”

A swift motion.

Grabbing onto A-ko’s collar, Musujime dragged her down to the floor and ducked beneath the side window.

“Eh?-! Wha-?”

“Shut up and stay down!”

A new sense of liveliness was now embedded in Musujime’s eyes. Her careless attitude had disappeared, and in its place was panic. It appeared that the former-ace had sensed something that was beyond A-ko’s understanding.

“Fuck! I should have known this was gonna happen!”

The former ace was visibly sweating. Her mind was slowly wearing down.

“H-Huh? What are you saying...?”

“...”

Musujime tipped her head towards the window with a stern look.

Slowly peeking out at the courtyard...

Sparsely placed trees and flowerbeds decorated an otherwise plain and uneventful patch of land. But within this, there was a clearing of hard barren dirt. Sure enough, three boys stood in the middle of this abstract garden.

And a serious mood stained the air.

“Kamijou Touma.”

Musujime introduced the spiky-haired boy first.

“Also known as ‘The Plague’. Rumors has it that he was able to stand his ground fighting against an experienced Kendo master with nothing but his bare hands. Not only that, but he went unarmed and waged war against 250 delinquents from a Certain Roman Catholic School... and came out standing on top.”

Sounds like a pretty scary guy...

Her attention turned to the next person.

“Accelerator.”

The boy with the modernistic cane cracked his neck.

“The legendary ‘White Devil’. A merciless demon who also holds the same title as City Academy’s strongest delinquent. On record, he’s a pervert who has harassed over ten thousand defenseless middle school girls.”

Eh...! What...! Ten thousand...!

“And...”

The third boy looked over at the two girls excitedly.

Huh? Did he see us?

“...”

Musujime scratched her head.

“Who is that...? I don’t think he goes to school here.”

He fell over.

Standing back up, he had tears streaming down his face.

“END OF THE CENTURY EMPEROR, HAMAZURA SHIAGE! I USED TO LEAD SKILL-OUT, DAMN IT!”

Uwah! His feelings got hurt!

(“What the hell is wrong with you? Keep your fucking voice down.”)

(“There’s no need to yell here.”)

The Emperor was being chastised by the other two.

(“Err, uh, sorry about that.”)

A-ko scooted herself back and spoke to the former ace.

“I don’t really get the situation, but... those three are delinquents, right? Shouldn’t we call a teacher over and stop them?”

“...”

Musujime Awaki let out a breath.

“A-ko... I don’t think you realize the kind of school you’ve enrolled into.”

“My name isn’t A-ko.”

“City Academy is heavily regulated. There are no coincidences and no accidents. The fact that those three were able to meet in such a place means that this meeting was done by design. You can also say that the two of us also hold some sort of role as well.”

A-ko stared blankly.

“...Is that supposed to make sense?”

“...”

…

“In other words...”

Musujime’s eyes turned lifeless.

“It’s a plot hole. If we called a teacher over, nothing interesting would happen, so please just go with the flow and accept the situation; otherwise the author might cry.”

“...Eh?”

“Oh, look. It’s starting now.”

Quickly changing the subject, Musujime popped her head up to watch the scene. And reluctantly, A-ko followed her example.

Spoiler for City Academy Part 3:

Out into the courtyard...

…

Three boys were facing one another is a triangular-like formation. A soft breeze blew over the area and the sound of wavering tree branches vibrated in the distance.

Kamijou Touma was the first to speak up.

“The content in today’s A-Lunch set... is curry, isn’t it?”

The wind died down. And an overwhelming silence filled the air.

“...”

…

Accelerator narrowed his eyes before speaking.

“I actually brought my lunch today, so I wouldn’t know.”

…

Hamazura glanced back and forth from Kamijou to Accelerator.

He swallowed nervously.

“I don’t go to school here, so I wouldn’t know either.”

Oi! What’s with this worthless conversation...!

“To tell you the truth... I also brought my lunch.”

Kamijou stated. He raised a bento box with his right hand.

“In any case...”

Just what was that...! An ice breaker...!

The spiky-haired boy scratched the side of his head.

“Usually, I’d like to solve problems without any violence... but it looks like ‘reasoning’ won’t do me any good here.”

Accelerator bared his teeth.

“It’s nice seeing you being more honest with yourself Hero.”

With a small laugh, Accelerator continued.

“And here I thought that you were going to start preaching. The usual bit about how any ideal that doesn’t match your own is shit.”

“...”

A dangerous spark sizzled between the two. A spark that could easily set off an explosion.

...

“...umm, uh.”

In a desire to not become a third wheel of sorts, Hamazura tried to say something impactful as well.

“Hey. Uh. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt… with the heart.”

Touching, but not relavent...!

Holding his cane over his shoulder, the white-haired boy sighed.

“It really is a pity...”

His words dripped with sarcasm.

“To think that we’d end up in an impasse... But... You two retards just don’t get it... “

The white-haired boy opened up his arms.

“It’s obvious that Mich*el Keaton had the best on-screen presence.”

“Well... if we were to include the animated series, I’d say K*vin Conroy did it best.”

Kamijou made a valid point.

“Is that what we were discussing...?”

Hamazura scratched his head.

“Oh, uh, I guess... Sean Conn*ry was a pretty good Bond.”

WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE…!

Briefly, A-ko took a moment to breathe out a sigh; however-

“...”

“...?”

From the corner of her eye, the blank-slate girl noticed something moving from the rooftops. The sun made it hard to see, but a shadow was running alongside the edge of a building.

And suddenly…! It leapt off!

Fast and approaching the three boys… Hamazura was quickly being covered in darkness!

And with only a split-second to notice the enlarging shadow over himself...!

“...!”

CRRRRAAAAACCKKK!

Earth shattered and dust flew up as a small goggle-wearing middle school girl came crashing down.

“Hah?-!”

Hamazura had fallen over backwards just in time from being turned into a watermark. Landing on one knee, the girl had her fist clenched to the ground. She slowly rose up from her stance. And a trickle of dirt spilled from her fingers.

“‘Misaka would like to say, ‘Dynamic entrances make good impressions’,’ Misaka says while making a memorable first appearance.”

Eh...? Who is… this...

Accelerator made an unpleasant face.

“Oi. I don’t remember calling you over.”

“Misaka apologizes...”

As this new girl spoke in monotone, Hamazura quickly crab-walked backwards to put distance between her and himself.

“‘But Misaka would like to change this high school delinquent comedy into a trendy dark action/drama with hip-hop undertones.’”

Don’t make up your own genres...!

“‘Permission granted?’ Misaka asks candidly.”

The Sister took the white-haired boy’s side, and at this... he clicked his tongue.

“Tch. Don’t ask me. I’m not you fucking parent.”

The dropout pushed himself up from the ground. He appeared to be breaking a sweat from this new development.

“W-What’s this now...? Reinforcements...?”

( Imouto: ‘By the way. There’s something wrong with Misaka’s arm,’ says Misaka as she dangles it around. )

( Accelerator: Stop that. It’s disgusting. )

( Imouto: ‘Oka~y,’ says Misaka as she pops it back in the socket. )

The Emperor addressed the boy behind him with a smile. He decided to make the best of the situation.

“Hey Boss. Don’t these numbers seem unfair? Looks like that asshole is teaming up with that middle school girl. How about we join forces and take em’ out together.”

“…”

As he looked behind, he noticed that Kamijou Touma had made a picnic for himself. He was sitting down with a plate of curry in hand.

“What the hell are you doing...! At a time like this even...!”

The spiky-haired boy tilted his head.

“It’s lunchtime.”

“You can wait until later...! Rather, is that the A-1 lunch set you were talking about...! Did you somehow go to the cafeteria while we weren’t looking...! What happened to the bento box you had earlier...!”

( Kamijou: Curry sounded more appetizing… )

“As expected from the Hero. Always one step ahead of the curve.”

Accelerator started chewing on some yakisoba bread.

“You too...!”

The spiky-haired boy took a moment away from his curry to mention to Hamazura:

“Ah, I should probably say that the bread stands around here sell to non-students as well.”

“R-Really...! Now that I think about it, I’m pretty hungry! Where can I find the closest stand?”

The girl with goggles gave some vague directions.

“If you look over there you should be able to see…”

Turning...

“Huh? See what?”

Just as Hamazura finished his sentence...

“‘Able to see… YOUR OPPONENT DRAWING FIRST BLOOD,’ says Misaka performing a dropkick to the face.”

The Emperor was face to face with a pair of feet.

…

Time seemed to slow down.

As the girl’s shoes made contact the Hamazura’s skin, ripples formed all across the area of impact. It was not unlike that of throwing a rock into a pond and then watching the generating waves. A low crunch emitted as she went further, digging into him. His feet sluggishly left the ground, and he started flying backwards is an almost swimming-like motion.

All the while...

Momentum was acting on the Sister’s clothes. The sweater vest and shirt that hugged her torso like a clam shell slowly slid up, revealing the smooth contours of her waist. Skin, a healthy rosy color that was soft as a nectarine, appeared in a gap between the fringes of her skirt and the bottom of her blouse. And her skirt, too, was acting accordingly. The pleated cloth wrapping her stalwart thighs traced itself up her lower body. The outline of her hips was becoming more apparent.

Pulling up. Showing more. More and more.

Hamazura’s eyes bulged.

‘C’mon! C’mon! C’mon! C’mon! C’mon!’

His thoughts were begging. He didn’t even care that he was being attacked.

‘Almost.... Almost... Almost theeeere...!’

And then...

…

And then...

Memories surfaced...

“Takitsubou-chan~! Why don’t you, like, super break up with the guy! I mean, like, he’s super creepy!”

“I’m standing right here you know.”

“Hamazura has his good points... He’s not a bad person.”

“Please stop ignoring me.”

“But he’s totally the type that would take the chance to look up a middle schooler’s skirt while being dropkicked! You can super do better than that!”

“He... He wouldn’t do that... Probably...”

The Hamazura Shiage inside Hamazura’s mind grinned as he looked down at the situation.

‘As if the End of the Century Emperor could be seduced by such a low level attack.’

The boy shut his eyes.

‘It’s my win.’

In real time, the girl with goggles ran at Hamazura, jumped up, and dropkicked him in the face sending him flying back. The time it took to do this was just a few seconds.

On the ground, the Emperor was smiling.

Why does he look so satisfied...! What a creep!

“’It is always unwise to look away from your opponent during a fight,’ says Misaka as she gives advice to her hopeless enemy.”

Hamazura scampered back to his feet.

“H-Hey! I wasn’t prepared for that…! That’s hardly fair…!”
The Sister snapped her fingers

“’All is fair in love and war,’ says Misaka demonstrating another rule of life.”

With that… several smoke bombs went off around Hamazura!

“Wha-!”

Clouds formed right before the boy’s eyes, obscuring his vision in a quick and calculated manner. The boy covered his mouth to prevent himself from breathing in too much, but as he started to gather his senses, wires had suddenly entangled around his entire body.

“…!”

Nearby, the inexpressive girl tightened her grip on the line.

“‘Caught you’, says Misaka claiming victory.”

The Sister pulled the wire, squeezing the boy like a netted ham. But something didn’t give.

“‘Caught you’? You took the words right out of my mouth.”

Grabbing the extended piece of wire with a free hand, Hamazura pulled back.

“I may act like I have no idea what’s going on…! But I know that you just made a mistake...!”

Overpowered, the Sister came lunging towards the boy involuntarily. Having reached a distance where she could see the boy clearly, the girl saw him whip his head back.

And then...

CRRRRAAAAACCKKK!

Hamazura’s forehead made contact with the girl’s goggles in a straight on headbutt. Bits of shattered plastic fell to the ground as she staggered backwards. And she then dropped to her knees.

“Nnnn...”

The world spun slightly from disorientation. But before the Sister could get ahold of herself, the boy had already escaped from his constraints.

“It’s over.”

Hamazura stood over her. Even though the boy was technically more injured with his forehead slightly bleeding... this was a fight the Sister could not possibly win.

“...”

…

The girl held onto the ground.

“Mi... Mi...”

Gripping tightly. She threw her arm up.

“‘Misaka won’t give up that easily!’ says Misaka stubbornly.”

And dirt was scattered.

“Shit!”

Having not expected that maneuver, Hamazura was blinded.

…

From the side, the two girls watching from the window could see the dust and smoke slowly start to settle. As the air cleared up, something else became more apparent.

“You...! One trick right after another...!”

“...!”

A-ko reacted to an impressive sight.

“That’s amazing!”

The Sister was now running in circles around Hamazura at a seemingly absurd speed.

“She’s running so fast that she’s creating after images! It’s like there are three of them running around him!”

“Glugbh~!”

Glancing at Musujime, she noticed her complexion starting to pale.

“Are you alright?”

“I... I’ll be fine...”

“...”

A-ko went back to watching the fight.

“‘Ha ha ha! What will you do now?’ says Misaka as she performs her ultimate technique.”

“...!”

The boy looked left and right, but there was no way he could focus. Simply put, there was too much going on around him, not to mention he still needed to rub the soil out of his eyes. At the moment, Hamazura very much felt like he was in a pinch.

“D-Damn it!”

“‘Fweeeeh? Did you finally give up?’ says Misaka as she taunts her prey.”

“Oi.” Accelerator called out to the Sisters in monotone, “Don’t hurt yourself now.”

“That’s absurd! There’s no way Misaka would-”

…!

And missing her step, the Sister’s foot twisted.

Hamazura watched the train wreck of three middle school girls colliding into one another.

You mean they were all real...!

( Imouto: ‘Get off!’ says Misaka as she kicks her feet in the air.)

Despite not knowing what exactly was happening, Hamazura tried to use this situation to his advantage. He turned his attention to the white haired boy and dashed forward.

“Right! If I take out the main pillar, the rest should follow!”

Heavy steps quickened in pace as he went in for the charge. He wound back his right fist. And then...!

THHHHOOOOMM!

the system magic in apocalypse alice is simple. You go to dungeon and go farm magic. Pretty easy right? the thing is while touma goes saves girls and save thousands. Apocalypse alice go kills girls to save thousands. The magic obtain in the dungeon varies in difficulty but I like one magic of the mc which is flash magic. Its like the world world spell or accel spell of kiritsugu. The mc moves fast. faster than light. the moves last in an instant but its a flash within a flash within a flash. You move inside the micro seconds. There is also maximum usage if I'm not mistaken and probably cooldown to not overexert the body.

as for the legendary heroes. I'm not talking about the eyes. I'm talking about rule fragments itself. broken items. The anime shown where the MC is collecting them but the 2nd part of the story shows when those items are being into use. Example of it is one of the king sacrifice a part of his body to slaughter an army of thousands. While the hero sacrifice the soul of his mother to kills probably millions : that euphoria!!!!

the magic in demonbane is deus ex. robots and magic and darn. That special move of that mech will still rings to my ears.

asura crying. sacrifice love for power. 2 ways. either sacrifice the soul of your love one for battery of the burial doll(robot) or sacrifice the memory of your love one to use magic awesome!

The thing that makes me like campione is what the authority you can get from the ones you killed/hunt. I would like to hunt Quetzalcoatl to use the same magic of the eastedge in shakuhan no shana. Darn. I don't like the sky (changing views into starry night) that's better. Then start showering meteors on the enemy.

There is more to strike the blood. The anime just get the central focus and let go of the technical focus. Its better because its easier to understand than more jargon thrown into it.

If your incorporating magic and esper. The only thing I can really think of to by pass the initial law of esper can't use magic is use tools or other weapons to wield magic.

yeahh, i thought about this too, but than i wouldnt see a reason to change the magic system, i would simply limit the magicians until "angel-lvl" was the highest possible lvl, it is still as strong as a whole country but...at least not some kind of loosely-explained-reality-warper

Anyway, I'mma bit rusty here, but I have another snippet I'm working on for the intro to the next chapter that's in the works. I'm curious to see what people think of this so I'm hoping my absence from fanfiction hasn't effected my writing abilitys too much.

"Oh come on, how is it that neither of you two are interested in such a unique series like this!?"

This was a typical day, your average sight to behold in a certain high school student's classroom during the course of the lunch period. Motoharu, Aogami, and Touma all lost in small talk with topics that changed periodically. In this instance, the subject was on a specific type of reading material which seemed to have gartered the attention of their resident blue haired classmate.

Unfortunately, the remaining two members of the Delta Force shared his taste in it.

"Nya, if you seen it once you've seen it thousands of times. Doesn't matter how different it looks, it's still the same tune being played on a different instrument."

"But it's not, I'm telling you it's completely different from all those other ones!"

"Does he even do anything with them or are they doing all the work?"

"...kinda?"

"Then there you go, just as Tsuchimikaido said, same tune different instrument."

"You two are hopeless, traitors, frauds, degenerates; especially you Kami-yan!"

Around here was the time that Kamijou actually looked up from his bento, mildly confused at the last quip the blue haired teen had made. Aogami took this as a sign to explain himself, even though Kamijou clearly wasn't all that interested.

"You of all people should understand the importance of a well-established harem! If everyone of them is the same, then it's to be expected that you'll find it to be boring. Verity is important -no it's essential- for a harem to truly succeed in any form regardless of its in 2D or 3D! That's precisely what this has in it, the two of you are too blind to see it and it pisses me off! The clumsy love-struck type, the air-head, the overly protective foreigner, the seductive opportunist, the polite royalty, the gothic with eighth-grader's syndrome, and so much more! It has so much to offer, so many of my fetishes are in this masterpiece and even some of your own in there as well! Between the two of them, Motoharu beat Touma to the punch in regards to a retort.
