I don't see this story being about pure vengeance on Ichigo's part. To put it simply, we literally don't know enough about where this is headed. Sure Ichigo will probably do his thing to beat the bad guys but that's always a given.

Oh, she's dead, certainly, but that doesn't necessarily mean we won't be seeing her again. Most the cast died a long time ago, remember...

you actually raise the interesting point about what happens to dead quincies. can they go to SS and become shinigami?

Would be nice if we got an answer for that but I not sure if we would. Besides wouldn't they lose all their memorys. Not sure what happens with their restu.

This is what happens when you have a million minor characters. It's like reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. So many minor characters that half the time you forget that they even exist.

Isshin said he wasn't there. Masaki was powerless and dead and Ichigo was unconscious. So who was able to protect Ichigo from GF, without beeing powerful enough to completely beat him?

Uruhara or Ishida father. Could mostly be Ishida's father as he does have some kind of grudge against Isshin. He probably fired a few shots just enough to scare GF away and then carried Misaki and Ichigo to Isshin or Uruhara's place. Or it could have been Hichigo.

So we may finally wrap up another mystery (of a less irritating nature, admittedly) - what the hell Komamura is, and why everyone seems to be fine with him being a weird wolf-guy-thing (formerly with a basket on his head)

me guess soifon is probably train with yoruichi...not sure about byakuya thou...
hitsugaya gotten boring to me ...im most interested in komamura thou

and yes seems all the remaining bankais are coming out

well, he deserved at least several stage of zanpakutou's powers like what Byakuya had and Yamajii had

well, at least we can find out about Komamura... that bear is huge!
