Damn, my online order says the volume isn't available until Nov. 30. Sadness. I'll have to solve this the way I solve every Holo deficiency in my life: by watching the series again.

Can't wait until the 30th.
The only question now is, would I rather get Spice and Wolf v.3 or the first volume of K-on?

Hmmm, I personally don't prefer K-On!, so I would go with Spice and Wolf v.3. That said, they're both from Yen Press, and I'd like for the series to have a strong showing on its initial release. Go with K-On! for now. Holo the Wisewolf will understand as long as you buy v.3 eventually.

S&W over K-on anyday. I dont hate K-On! but S&W is more worthy of your cash.

I think I'll go with K-on for now, I want the first release show up pretty popular. S&W will have to be the week after, sorry Holo!

I don't see her forgiving you that easily... she will remember this slight... or have you forgotten?

Just have some honeyed peaches ready. She'll forgive you after that, and a little teasing.

With any luck the teasing won't be too harsh. Friday might be another story.
Peaches sound nice. I regret not saving those apples from earlier this year.

It just occurred to me, but does anyone know how long the official manga is set to run? I mean, with 17 novels out right now, if they continue at 3 manga volumes per novel, we're looking at, at the very least, a 40+ volume manga series. I regard such a prospect with trepidation and anticipation.

It is not so much popular to get 40+ volumes. Probably some storylines will be skipped and somehow they will finish it. I hope for 12-15 volumes at least.

Ah, my Yen Press volume 3 manga arrived... artwork seems to be holding up mostly, will read it over the week and see how it flies.

In my opinion, it held up pretty well, only one or two scenes didn't really feel right to me, but they very much captured the emotion. Overall, I was very pleased. I was also glad they translated the Oiran Holo story. It was one of the few that appeared in the mags that I was afraid would not get that treatment. Now, if only the three "Holo-tan" short stories will get the volume treatment... that and the Dengeki Spice and Wolf Anthology!!!

I'm really looking forward to Volumes 4 & 5. And, I can't wait to see Amati get his butt handed to him again (this time in manga format, likely beginning in Volume 7). Bwahahahahaha!!!

I second pretty much everything you just said. Still waiting for S2 to be translated/released, but seeing Amati lose in manga form will be oh-so-sweet.

I particularly liked the Nora preview at the end. They did a good job of portraying just how precarious her world is (leering dangerous men everywhere) and she alone except for her dog. It really clarifies just how bright a light Lawrence is to her when he appears in her life.

I'm worried, could it affect this manga?

I'm uncertain. The one good thing we have going for us... Holo is an adult (would not be following it if she were not... that would be creepy).

Also, there is scarce (if any) nudity at this point in the story, so...

I mean, OtK has generally been tasteful in its content, so I would have a hard time with them making too big of an issue over future releases as long as they keep going like they have thus far!

I don't think it'll affect the manga at all. Spice&Wolf doesn't have anything that would be "offensive" or that would contribute to "unhealthy development in youth." The nudity is tasteful and scarce, there aren't any sexual or pseudo-sexual acts (that I know of), and even if there were, I doubt it would be anything as degenerate as rape. S&W, and most manga I read from Japan for that matter, are likely safe.
