No, she definitively must have seen more than just "nothing". She's way too much too much of a composed and headstrong person to be totally shattered by something like that, no matter how big the disapointment. I don't really see her as a person laying much weight on the potential scarelige of her act either - Well, up to the end of Ep14, at least. Point being that I don't see that as having anything to do with her reaction.

My personal bet is on the old "I see dead people" (Her old chor/firends?), or then something akin to visions of massive horrors of war/mass-destruction from the past by the civilization that actually created the machines, or a combination of both.

Remember the wheels are supposed to be "Time" and "space" respectively, which makes me think that the Jade-remergion-wormhole -theory holds water pretty well, which would make the above also a somewhat sensible choice.

Any takes on the next episode? I forsee much Rimone-nursing-Dominura, but I'm wondering where Dominura's character exactly can possibly go now in the scope of the story, given her alleged connections and how the shock may affect her own motivation to do things.
As for the potential flag, there may be one up in the air, but I don't really see anyone cashing in on for a minimum of two-three episodes at least. I'd wait at least for the next episode until reading that much into the events (concerns both Yun and Dominura.

....Also, if Yun is killed, I shall cry bloody tears of injustice . Now, Floe, on the other hand, she's been living a good half a series past her exit primetime >_<

I thought that Aaeru hearing the cry showed her sensitivity, like Amuria or Neviril standing in the open cockpit sniffing the air. But it could have been her hearing something from Tempuspatium, from a link among the helical motores, or else from Neviril....

By the way, is it just me or did that single-ship reconnaissance flight last over 24 hours? They took off at night in the previous episode, spent the entire next day searching and didn't return until the morning after that. Given the lack of tiredness and discomfort we're shown, I guess we're meant to assume that they used the Simoun's VTOL capability to stop for little things like sleep, stretches and bathroom breaks?

One wonders about the logic of dragging out the search so long, though, rather than simply returning to report the enemy having broken contact - particularly considering the risk to the ship if it's caught on the ground, since Chor Tempest doesn't seem to bother with keeping a defensive patrol up.

What if the horror of what she saw was because of her impeity, i.e. a form of punishment for daring to profane the vehicle of God (both in thought and - indirectly - deed)? Maybe it's not so much that she saw something only syblillae can see, it's that as a sybilla her sin was that much the worse than Waporif's in actually doing the disassembly.

(Hmm, perhaps to fly the Simoun you first need to kiss the "I Accept" part of the Gem, thereby agreeing to license terms that include "no copying or reverse-engineering except as expressly permitted by law")

(Although if we go by icym's synopsis then maybe she was screaming at the memory of Mamina's stew )

I'm keeping an open mind about the theory that Amuria vanished through such a wormhole rather than died. But just one thought, if that's the case then how did Neviril get hold of Amuria's hairclip? Well the OST liner notes describe Morinas as a "Simoun Otaku", so maybe it's her very own garage kit (this could also explain why she's so keen to date a mechanic - insert obvious puerile joke here about lusting after Waporif's toolkit).

Wapourif mentions that he found nothing of Amuria in the upper fuselage. Presumably, they had more than just two hair clips between them, and Neviril is wearing two of those that remain. It would have been a stretch for Amuria to have vanished, but for her hair clip to have remained....

But that would only work if the Simoun actually is "God's Chariot" and the entity they worship is actually some sort of sentinent thing that could react to that. Obviously such could not be the case if the the Simoun/helical motors are just a technological relic from an acient civilization gone by. Remember good 'ol Mr. Clarke; "Any sufficently advanced technology will be indestinguishable from magic" .

I dunno, I'm still kind of attached to the idea that Amuria had the one special set and that she gave one to Neviril to wear while they were a pair. It may be unlikely, but you gotta admit it's smashingly romantic.
