My reaction to Amadeus was probably the same as Okabe's. Even though that is an AI based off her memory, it's Makise Kurisu without a doubt.

As a sidenote, OP and ED did not disappoint me.

Miyano's performance was always stellar in the original series, but the various nuances of emotions he has expressed when Rintarou meets Amadeus Kurisu was nothing short of impressive. I'm still not sure how Rintarou will remain sane over time though.

Also, that detail looked trivial first, but the fact Amadeus Kurisu was modeled in CGI makes a lot of sense.

Steins;Gate wouldn't be the same without Kurisu, so they found a way to bring her back even with her being physically dead. I'm curious to see how Amadeus' relationship with Okabe will develop. She could help him go back to his old self. He's already started spontaneously calling her Christina!

A pretty good episode and one that does push things forward. This could be a crucial development for Okabe. He does need some pushes in order to push ahead. Curious how his interactions with this artificial Kurisu will shake things up.

Kind of amusing seeing this Amadeus trying to hook up Okabe and Hiyajo.

I also wonder if the different answers to the question about time machines was in regards to the different timelines or something lacking in this simulation of Kurisu.

The scene in the very beginning with the Skeptic was a bit rushed, but overall this adaption has been pretty good so far. And that OP and ED were just cruel.

Also side note: The username for the Amadeus login in is Salieri. Not whoever the heck Sarieli is!

Hehehe this is going to be my anime of the year. Am loving this so much. Also, yeah I lolled at Sarieli.

Best part of this episode was that the ending theme was new~

Okabe's "different timelines" explanation seems plausible.

One big difference between the two is that in Alpha timeline (which is what Okabe was comparing Amadeus/Kurisu's response to), Suzuha failed in her initial mission, got amnesia, and thus there was never a John Titor.

In Alpha, Kurisu rejected the idea of a time machine before seeing one herself. In this timeline, however, she's receptive to it and even dreamed up a working theory for one. I think it's because she was influenced by John Titor's shitposting when she was small.

Imho you need to differ the two Kurisu's from one another.

When AI Kurisu says she thinks it would be too hasty to say that, then it doesn't necessarily mean Human Kurisu would say the same.

There are also a few other things to consider:

Theory time:

- If my memory serves me right, Kurisu had an argument with her father/step father right before her lecture. It would fit her character to make statements based on that later on. - However the AI never had that argument, hence answered differently.

- AI Kurisu will think differently than the human one because, no matter how similar they are supposed to be, AI Kurisu's thought processes are still less limited than Human- Kurisu's are.
Yes she is a copy of Kurisu's brain waves, but at the end of the day, she is still an AI, that wants to learn new stuff.

So, imho what the AI 'thought' about it didn't matter to 'her' at that moment. What mattered more was to see where this conversation was going and why she was asked that particular question to begin with.
So she choose an answer that would, most likely, not bar her from completing that objective.
i.e she got curious and might have lied.

Kurisu is a staple of Steins;Gate so it makes sense that they would find a way to have her in this series even if she's supposed to be dead. Okabe's ongoing relationship with Amadeus is no doubt going to be central to this series, so I'm curious to see how it develops. He's already started to regain some of his old quirks such as calling her Christina.

So many little subtleties.

The light on the camera activated, and the shot zoomed in on the speaker/microphone briefly, several seconds before Kurisu revealed her presence to the two.

The implication was that she was spying on their conversation when they still thought they were waiting on Kurisu to finish booting up, and presumably could do so independently, particularly now that it seems that she's being kept on all the time so that she can interact with Okabe.

That in turn means that, when active, her projection is done at her own choice, not as a built-in part of the system. That will probably be relevant at some point.

Was also interesting to see Kurisu actually lean down on the screen to make it look like she was whispering through that associated speaker.

Loved the 3D look of her model on the phone, as it stands out just enough to mark her as 'not real', relative to the rest of the characters. The styling of it also evokes the feeling of Kizuna on YouTube, as well. The artists kept it a bit more rigid and solid-feeling, but I doubt the similarity was accidental.

The boob explosions on Mayuri and Suzuha still bug me.

Yeah, I don't think Mayuri and Suzuha's boobs are that much bigger. Maybe Mayuri's, but she's a growing girl.

You can't say there wasn't a substantial increase in volume for both of them.

Now that I'm seeing a direct comparison, I can't deny they have gotten quite an upgrade. I don't mind, though.

In Mayuri's case at least. Amane has just an additional, partly open, jacket which highlights her bust a bit.

Man, that was an emotional rollercoaster. I totally forgot "Christina" was thing. Makes me want to go on YouTube and look for some old Steins Gate comedy clips.

Huh, looks like thius episode is setting up for Maho to be crushing Okabe down the line.

Ugh, being around AI Kurisu is definitely not good for Okabe's state right now. Intellectually he understands this not her, but he's far too unstable to come to terms with that emotionally. He's already subconsciously getting into the dynamic he and Kurisu had when she was alive. I don't see anything, but pain from going through this, even if we know this works out in the end.

She argued with her father in the Beta Line after his lecture -- she showed him her own paper on time travel and he decided to steal it for himself, leading to Kurisu's death.

In the Alpha Line, Dr. Nakabachi's lecture never happened because the "satellite" crashed into the Radio Kaikan building. We know from what Kurisu tells Okabe later that something must have happened between them, but we never get any details. Clearly Dr. Nakabachi didn't steal Kurisu's paper in the Alpha Line, but he must have said something that put her into "Screw time travel" mode for her own lecture.

In any event, a scientific paper isn't something you write in five minutes. She was probably already thinking about the subject in March when her mind was copied for Amadeus.
