New Graphics Card

My old GTS250 is starting to give me problems now, and I am thinking of the following :

GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II
GTX560 Ti
GTS480

2 hours until I reach the store. Recommend?

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

I would actually wait if you can. The Radeon HD 7000's are rolling out and the GeForce 600's can't be far behind.

if you can't wait, get any of the gtx560 ti (avoid galaxy and zotac if possible).

otherwise wait for amd's 7000 series to come out like random32 said and see if nvidia will do some price cuts on their 500 series in response to it.

What again was the estimated price tag for the 7000s series?

I wish I could. My GTS250 couldn't handle 150 marines + Victory screen on SC2 without crashing.

Got a MSI N650GTX Twin Frozr for S$325. 590 was around the $600+ range so the new 600 series should be between S$800-1k.

Damn movement-in-sympathy. Warehouse suppliers in SEA jack up their prices of every other computer component when the floods hit Thailand and drove up HDD prices. Could have been much cheaper in the $200+ range.

The 590 is a dual GPU card, you can't compare it in price with a 600 series.

One of my friend have a 550 ti, and he say it's pretty good.
You can also look for a AMD 6850.

Or wait for the new AMD card.

Mhmm, I would recommend getting one that is compatible with your motherboard (I.E. Similiar frequency), lest the video card be fried by the motherboard or vice versa, just make sure that the bus speed of the card doesn't overpower the motherboard's bus speed. Hope this helps
