My Hero Academia is apparently getting a third season according to Yonkou Productions and the latest WSJ scans.

Finale airs in two days so I'm not too surprised. Yonkou is pretty legit and trustworthy with these type of news.

Episode 1 is out! ...and it's basically a recap with only bits and pieces of new material. Oh, well, to be expected I guess.

Now let's wait for the fun to actually begin next week.

Yay, the third season has started! Too bad its another recap episode, but at least we got to see the new opening and ending. The opening isn't bad, the ending is a bit forgettable, although it is kind of hard to top the last two openings. The opening alone sure hints at a lot of big events, can't wait to see them all animated. With the breaks I guess they have to do recap, but this season should be particularly epic.

Well... I get why they'd want to throw a little reminder, but 2+ minutes on class A recap ? This is season 3 ! We know them already...

Edit : I don't read the manga, but isn't it about time we move on from the Deku/Bakugo conflict, even just a bit ? Give the boy a proper development arc like Todoroki cause he is annoying AF.
I know I know. It's his drive etc. Well it's boring.

We have Shigaraki now as Deku's nemesis anyway (who's a close 2nd to the cliché boring antagonist...)

Hmm, a bit of recap but the pool stuff was rather entertaining. It got me back into the mood of the show again. Plus, I also really liked the style of the new OP song.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some of my favorite heroes and villians this season in action soon. Should be an exciting season!

The new OP absolutely destroys Season 2's OPs. And I didn't even like the UVERworld song that much.

Independently, the visuals and the songs are nice, but mixing the two together makes for a horrible OP. The song doesn't fit the animation AT ALL.

I wasn't feeling the opening until its last fourth, which is pretty cool, though mostly because of the visuals.

Both S2 openings, specially the second one, are better IMO.

God...I hated that OP. The visuals were great... but the song did not match well at all...

The visuals for the OP are pretty cool but I couldn't really get into the sing until it got to All Might's part. The ED is okay, but I prefer the pair of OPs and ED we got from season 2.
