Yes, in fact, it's a popular starter gun for those who wanted to learn how to use firearm (including kids, such as American Boy Scout). And no, flares can't do jack against machinery.

They have to bail out as DS has better maneuverability than the tank can aim and reload, that one they shot just landed and unprepared.

The shot is delivered less than 50 m in range, and more, it's a Canister shot from improved Rheinmetall 120mm Cannon... which means a giant shotgun at the very least 5-10 times stronger and denser than Raphael Shotgun

It's used for both pistol and rifles. The recoil is so unnoticeable that some instructor having a hard time finding mistakes in the firing stance (which often dangerous if you use standard cartridge).

Flares can only fool infra-red sensor, and so far only used to fool infra-red guided missile.

Those comes in different variant, the magazine is tiny (half the size of normal pistol mag), usually hold 10-12 rounds.

It's power at range is laughable, but a close range can be lethal, if used on the head anyway. Inside a rifle, the bullet can be more potent, but the rifle is usually full sized anyway, while the pistol is notably compact.

It's only used for starting practice and plinking (target shooting), the largest living creature it can kill in random one shot is a large rat. So yes, mostly not that harmful if used against human (headshot and anywhere vital being exception)

Well, being a medic I somewhat disagree with Tranquilized gun (because it took 15 minutes just for the drug to start working after the dart hits

), then again it's not like 22LR is THAT harmless when used properly

(the subsonic, silenced variant mostly used by assassin and Spies during cold war due to the low noise, similar to a thick dictionary falling to the floor)
