The manga version of Yamazaki's vision of Satou's ultimate moe character is both scary (the drooling, the unfocused eyes and the waving of the.. whatever that is) and funny at the same time.
I prefer the anime version. The fox tail looks kinda interesting. |

The animation is starting to improve at this point. At first it was very disappointing, but thinking this is more of an "art" anime, I could forgive the horrid animation.
The story is getting really interesting, haha. I'm wondering what Satou-kun would pull off next, especially that his senpai has returned. First love never dies, I guess |

Mabye sometime in the future they'll realise that they can make cash with real advertisments in anime as well and we'll get to see real names. They do it in games so i guess putting it in anime isn't so far fetched

Episode 4 was extremely enjoyable in spite of the animation.
Sure, it looked low-budget, but maybe wao can confirm if one of the Noein animators or Studio 4C people directed this episode. Because, as far as animation technique goes, it's insane! Regardless, the actual dialogue and direction is topnotch as always. |

As for animation, well, episode 4's animation director (and the first key animator which implies he did the most animation work) is a young animator from J.C. Staff called Shingo Natsume, he seems to be following the style of Masashi Ishihama and Tetsuya Takeuchi (the latter is an ex-J.C. dude, is behind this anime's OP and Speed Grapher chara design and OP; the other is a current J.C. dude who is Really Awesome and key-animated the whole of Honey and Clover ep 7) . It's obvious he is more concerned with getting the general poses in relation to the entire picture, than the details like highlights and outlines everywhere. Personally I like his style of drawings very much, way over the one in episode 2 and 3. It looks a lot more happy and loose and yet not utterly shit (except for maybe 1 or 2 very small scenes). YMMV of course, most people hate it; but I really like the jaunty lines and the shadows. Of course I think anyone can agree that it *is* rushed, because a number of drawings seem to have been outlined in a hurry and there isn't very much in-between animation. These Korean companies... you can put 20-30 people to work and still have no movement. -_-
