Yuuno shook his head, barely fighting back a growl of frustration; narrowing his eyes, he leaned back in his chair and studied the computer screen for a few minutes. “It doesn’t make any sense,” he murmured. “The computer follows her right up until the incident. Then she’s just… she’s gone. There’s no information on her.”
On one side, Hayate scowled. “Yuuno-kun, that’s insane. They have all of us on this thing… why is Nanoha-chan different?” She ran a hand through her hair. “Why let her vanish into thin air?”
“I don’t know, but I swear it’s the truth. After the incident, she disappears from the records.” Yuuno sighed. “I don’t know where she is, where she went, nothing.”
On his other side, Fate studied the computer screen quietly, her eyes scanning the rows of information. A small shudder ran down her spine.
“… So Nanoha’s gone.” Her voice was soft. She closed her eyes and shook her head as pain surfaced.
Instinct had Blaze reverting to his lion form as he faced his mistress, if only to present himself as less of a threat to her. Fury may have been content to strike out against her from time to time, but Blaze was fiercely loyal to the woman who had created them. Despite the quiet fear bubbling in his belly he sat tall, his shoulders straight and his golden eyes calm as he gazed up at the shadowy place his mistress rested.
“Fury acted out again, didn’t he.” It was a statement, not a question, and sent a small chill down Blaze’s spine. Her voice was deceptively soft, calm, almost bored. Flicking the tip of his tail, Blaze braced himself. The lie left his mouth without a thought. “No, mistress,” he said. “I told him to do it.”
A flash of light in the shadows told Blaze that his mistress was currently studying him; her voice drifted to him again, unchanged despite what he had said. “Is that so, Blaze?”
“Yes, ma’am.” He met her gaze evenly. “It’s the truth. Fury isn’t to blame.”
A few moments of contemplative silence passed; Blaze felt the fear in his belly harden into a ball. His mistress sighed, and a pale hand left the shadows, beckoning him to her. “Come here, Blaze.”
Knowing what was to come, seeing the dark shadow of her whip, Blaze dutifully lowered his head and stood, padding towards his mistress. He was a lion, the king of the jungle, but there was no fight in him as the pale hand gently rested on his head, her fingers combing through his mane. He closed his eyes as her fingers curled into his mane, holding him firmly in place; against his will, his muscular body began to tremble.
The whip cracked along his back, and a brilliant explosion of pain shattered his thoughts to pieces. Beneath the vicious blows of his mistress he crumbled, not even putting up a fight as her whip stung his shoulders and back again and again.
As long as it’s me, he thought, dazed, and struggled to stay upright even as his legs trembled and blood dripped to the floor. As long as it’s me and not Fury or Glory, it’s all right.
He slowly opened his eyes, two narrow slits of gold in the dark; they burned with fire.
“Well, my goodness! Just look at you, Nanoha, you’ve gotten so big!”
One thing that could always be said about Lindy Harlaown was that she didn’t hold a grudge; it was hard to say if she merely chose not to or was simply too kind to bother with it. Whatever her reason, Nanoha still couldn’t resist the smile as the older woman hugged her lightly, and her arms curved naturally in response. “Lindy-san,” she greeted. “It’s nice to see you again.”
“If the circumstances were different I’d offer you tea, but…”
“It’s okay. Can’t be helped.”
Lindy stepped back and let Nanoha take her seat, her eyes lingering briefly on Elise and Fiasse; after a moment she settled between Chrono and Fate, resting her hands on her knees. Miyuki and Kyouya weren’t seated but instead leaned against the nearby wall, watching the whole situation casually. Kuon, having reverted back to her smaller fox body for the time being, sprang up and settled in Nanoha’s lap, deeming it the safest place to be, sitting upright and watching the proceedings with light blue eyes.
Hayate and Yuuno sat on a sofa alongside the chairs, but the two were looking uncertainly between the two small groups and had seemed to decide to take a neutral stand on the whole issue for the time being. Nanoha briefly flashed the pair a quiet smile, and was relieved when they both returned it, albeit nervously.
Chrono wasted no time getting to the point. “We arranged to have a meeting with you, Miss Crystera,” he said calmly, looking at Fiasse. “You weren’t there.”
At his tone of voice, Fiasse’s shoulders stiffened and her eyes hardened; Miyuki twitched slightly, but a warning sound from her brother stilled her. Fiasse glanced briefly at her and smiled reassuringly before turning back to Chrono. “If you’re familiar with my family at all, Admiral, you’ll know the TSAB agreed to leave my family be fifteen years ago. Your decision to arrange this meeting is a clear breach of that.”
“It was the best course of action, seeing as you’ve received several warnings so far that could pertain to the magical world as a whole—“
A quiet murmur of “Warnings?” silenced Chrono; Elise slanted a long, narrow-eyed look at Fiasse that had the older woman squirming in her chair. “I didn’t want to worry you,” Fiasse murmured, looking guiltily at the woman she loved like a sister. “You had your hands full with Nanoha and Kuon, and I know you wanted nothing to do with the magical world, so…”
Elise simply arched a brow; when she spoke, her voice was calm. “What do these warnings pertain to, Fiasse?”
“… The Forgotten Song.”
“Afraid I’ve never heard of it.”
Fiasse shrugged, but her discomfort was obvious as it shown in her eyes. “You wouldn’t have,” she said. “It’s part of my family history, and I myself know very little about it. The only person who’d know more is my mother, and she died three years ago.”
“Tiore?”
“She expressed a great interest in it after my father died fifteen years ago.” Fiasse’s voice softened slightly. “She used to spend hours pouring through the old texts, taking notes in her journal. It frightened me, honestly. She was like a possessed woman for the longest time. Eventually she abandoned it, though… but all her notes are still in her journal, to my knowledge.”
Yuuno frowned; after a moment, he raised his hand. “Question,” he said. “Does your family specialize in magic trigged by songs and chants, Miss Crystera?”
“Ah, so you’ve heard of us.” Fiasse smiled, and it was a natural, proud smile. “Yes, it’s true. The Crystera family is one of the last magical families to still depend on songs and chants for fighting and defense. It’s a dying way of life, I’m afraid, what with all this distinction between Belkan style and Mid-Childan style. Not to mention, it takes longer to attack and defend…”
“I do the best I can, ma’am.”
“I wasn’t insulting you, Sweet Song.”
Yuuno processed this for a moment, a small, thoughtful frown on his face; after a moment, he spoke again. “So then, if that’s true, what does the Forgotten Song have to do with this person who’s been threatening you?”
For a moment, Fiasse said nothing; she bit her lip and looked quietly at her hands for a moment before meeting the gazes of everyone in the room. “What I know of the Forgotten Song is based off the stories my father used to tell me when I was young,” she admitted. “I’m afraid I know very little about it. According to legend, it’s said that the Song had the power to raise the dead and turn back time… which explains why someone would be interested in it.” She shrugged. “Provided you can find out what the verses are word for word, it’s a handy way of bringing someone to life or going back in time, so I was told.”
At the mention of bringing back the dead and turning back time, Fate’s hands clenched and her eyes went blank. Realizing that her own bad memories were surfacing, Nanoha felt her chest clench but kept silent, watching the blonde with anguished eyes. Kuon looked up at the young brunette worriedly.
“The Forgotten Song was lost to my family long before I was born.” Fiasse leaned back in her chair, frowning contemplatively. “I’m not quite sure how it happened.”
“Wait, I’m confused.” Hayate frowned. “If your magic depends on your songs and chants, doesn’t that mean you need to memorize them?”
“I have all of my shorter songs and chants memorized, yes. For the longer, more powerful attacks, the song flows naturally through my head when I need it.”
Lindy frowned thoughtfully. “But you said Tiore studied it after Albert died.”
“Yes. Some mention of the Forgotten Song is made in the family history, and I know she went through those often after Father died. If she ever figured anything out, it would be in her journal.” She held up both hands. “It’s locked, by the way, and Mother never told me where she hid the key.”
Sensing an opening, Chrono leaned forward. “If you gave us the journal Miss Crystera and let our scientists look at it—“
“Absolutely not.”
“Miss Crystera—“
“With all due respect, Admiral, I only trust the TSAB as far as I can throw it. Which, coincidentally, isn’t that far even with Sweet Song.” Fiasse’s eyes narrowed. “I cannot forgive what happened fifteen years ago, because the blame rests squarely on your shoulders.”
“Fiasse.” Elise’s tone was soft, warning.
“I only speak the truth, Elise, you know it as well as I do.”
Confused as to what Fiasse was referring to, Chrono looked at Lindy for some sign of assistance; but a sorrowful look had entered the green-haired woman’s eyes as she looked at Fiasse and Elise. The young songstress was sitting up straight, eyes narrow and flashing; Elise was trying to soothe her, but she appeared just as uncomfortable with the topic.
“So you haven’t forgiven that, then.” Lindy’s voice was soft.
“How can I forgive the thing that cost my father his life and made an innocent girl—“
“Enough, Fiasse.” The words were a hiss as Elise said them, and she laid a hand on Fiasse’s shoulder. “Enough.”
During this time, Miyuki and Kyouya had both straightened up and were watching their childhood friends closely; gradually, Fiasse relaxed. More at ease, Elise lifted her hand from the golden-haired woman’s shoulder and looked at Chrono. “A familiar attacked Fiasse,” she said quietly. “I’m not all that familiar with what goes on in the magical world, but seeing as we have Kuon, I’m aware of the fact that familiars were recently given some rights?”
“Yes.” Fate spoke this time; a brief flash of pride and love filled her eyes. “They can marry now, live on their own, build lives separate from their masters.”
“The fact that this new enemy of yours depends on familiars, though, puts us in something of a bind.” Chrono crossed his arms over his chest. “That’s, of course, depending on whether or not the boy we saw earlier attacked Fiasse on his own or was ordered to do so by his creator. If it was an order, we can soothe some of those against these rights in Mid-Childa.”
Kyouya frowned and shook his head. “No good,” he said. “You can’t go with that. If that familiar had been following orders, he would have been much colder about what he was doing, much calmer. He was obviously frustrated and angry when we arrived; I get the feeling he acted alone.”
Chrono scowled and cursed quietly under his breath, and Nanoha finally decided to break her silence. “Wait, I’m confused. Hasn’t it always been thought that a familiar is simply acting on the will of their master?”
“That was true.” Hayate’s voice was slightly weak. “Then my Wolkenwritter came along.”
A long, awkward pause.
Nanoha got it. Unlike familiars or servants before them, the Wolkenwritter had actively disobeyed their mistress’s command for what they believed was her own good. The act of free will had probably shaken the magical world more than she even knew, and had presented the idea that a familiar could think and act just as freely as the person who had created it. “Oh,” she murmured. “I get it now.”
Chrono nodded. “So the longer these familiars keep freely attacking people, the more and more likely it becomes that those rights will be pulled away.”
It was a problem in two separate ways.
Neither of them were good.
Nanoha smirked, quietly running her fingers through Kuon’s fur.
The two women paused at the doorway upon hearing Lindy’s soft call; Fiasse immediately turned back inside. “Wait outside,” Elise ordered softly, ruffling Nanoha’s hair. “I’ll only be a few minutes.” She stepped back, and the door whooshed shut behind her. After a moment, she turned and stepped to Fiasse’s side as Lindy walked towards them.
“… You’ve both grown up so much.” Lindy’s eyes softened, though she made no move to touch either woman. “I find it hard to believe that fifteen years ago, you were both shorter than me.”
“I’m still taller than Fiasse.”
“Elise!”
Lindy smiled at the old bickering, glad that the pair hadn’t lost their closeness; she looked quietly at Fiasse, and the smile faded. “I warned them,” she admitted. “My superiors. I warned them you wouldn’t have forgiven us easily.”
“I forgave you a long time ago.” Fiasse closed her eyes as Lindy gently brushed her fingers through her hair. “You actually tried to do something, Lindy. I’ve never forgotten that, and neither has Elise.”
Elise nodded quietly and sighed, closing her eyes as Lindy left Fiasse to brush her hand through her hair. Fiasse opened her eyes slowly, saw the old pain on Lindy’s face. “Lindy…”
“My only regret.” Lindy’s voice trembled slightly as she stroked Elise’s cheek, and as the younger woman opened her eyes she met her gaze. “My only regret is that I couldn’t get you out of there soon enough. If I had, there would be no blood on your hands.”
Elise laughed softly, turning her cheek into Lindy’s hand.
“We all have blood on our hands, Lindy.” She closed her eyes again. “It’s simply a matter of who’s blood it is and how we got it.”
Hayate and Yuuno were long gone, having retreated with Chrono, Kyouya, and Miyuki when they went to put together the report. Nanoha was leaning against the glass of the ship’s window, one foot braced casually against the steel, and she merely tilted her head slightly to meet Fate’s gaze. She smirked briefly before glancing down at Kuon, who was snuggled in her arms.
“Kuon, go catch up with Onee-chan and Onii-chan. Chrono-san will need your report to better understand what happened down there.” She smiled. “I’ll stay here and wait for Onee-sama.”
Kuon frowned, and for a moment Nanoha feared she would argue; the fox familiar glanced briefly at Fate before springing down from Nanoha’s arms, darting after those who had just departed. Nanoha watched her go, and when she saw her no more, she slowly straightened up, turning to face Fate.
She slid her hands into her pockets and smiled, a small half-smile that wasn’t happy or friendly; simply weary and, in some way, accepting of what was to come. Her eyes flashed briefly.
“Fate-chan.” Her voice was soft, but sure and steady. “It’s been awhile.”
Spoiler for Author's notes and ramblings:
1. The familiar issue, I felt, is largely justified by the fact that what the Wolkenwritter did they did of their own free will. It can be argued, using that logic, that ANY familiar has the freedom to go against their master's orders. Hence why Fury's attack was a bad thing for expanding familiar freedoms.
2. More foreshadowing on the incident 15 years ago... yes, Lindy was involved in it. She would have been young, I think. Early 20's, I'd say.
3. I got some questions about the Miyuki/Fiasse pairing from last chapter. Let me just sat that everything I plug into this story, pairings included, are there for a reason.
4. NanoFate confrontation next chapter! Didn't seem to fit this chapter...
Looking forward to seeing the confrontation between Fate and Nanoha.
The wolkys - No, they're programs
but the TSAB has them as hayate's familiar (cant remember where i read that though)
But from what i understand Belka-type knights called them guardian beasts and Mid-type mages called them familiars but I believe they are the same thing
There's never any confirmation on whether Guardian Beasts and Familiars are the same, though they probably are.
But remember, Zafira's only talking about himself not anyone else. Arf asks him why he isn't helping his master. Zafira says Signum is their leader not master. She asks whose familiar he is. Zafira says he's a guardian beast. Zafira is the Guardian Beast no one else.
I agree with what's been stated so far that for role's sake they are classified as so but they aren't truly.
Guardian Beast or Familiar isn't important here. What is important is that Zafira is a program simulating such a thing, just like Signum, Vita and Shamal are programs simulating humans.
Yes, but by nearly all other means they are the same as familiars. It's logical for people to view them as such, and thus the consequences of the Wolkies' disobedience.
Arf was made by Fate, as a familiar. Arf draws Fate's magic to survive and in return, she protects her. That's a familiar
The Wolkies were created via program/spell not cast by Hayate but rather as a self executing program from the book to guard the book's master. The programs were made using Hayate's power but Hayate did not create familiars using the book. They're programs ran without her consent.
So they're the same thing, but created using two different methods. Though to be "techical", Arf is a familiar because she was made as a familiar to do a familiar's job. The Wolkies are not familiars because they were ran as programs to do a familiar's job.
to compare:
Avatar, the last air bender is a kick butt cartoon. It wasn't made in Japan, therefore it's not an anime, despite them both doing an anime's job of entertaining with drawn/CG graphics. It's the same thing, but the title is different. Zafira and Arf do the same job, but their titles are different.
You could call them either way, and you would be "right", but only the technical term is used by those who know the differnce.
That's technically not correct, as the master of the Yami no Sho, she did have consent of the 'running' of the Wolkies. She may not be responsible for their creation, so it would be better to describe them as the Yami no Sho's familiar, but since the book obeys Hayate's commands, and in turn the Wolkies as well, Hayate becomes the end-responsible.
Haruko laid down on her bed stared at the ceiling, she done with her study and her home works ‘I wonder where Nanoha is?’ She wander ‘oh wait I bit she’s with Fate, damn why it always go off my mind.’ She rolled her eyes.
Haruko sat on her bed and looked around her bedroom, there was; a desk on it, her Pc on it with flat screen, web camera on it, a microphone on desk, some poster of on wall, bookcase, dresser, closet, night stand next to her bed; on it light lamp also her sliver blue cell phone on it.
Suddenly her cell phone rang, Haruko flipped her cell phone open and saw *Chikane.* on the screen, Haruko answered the call.
“Hey Chikane.”
[Haruko, hello, how are doing?]
“I’m fine Chikane, how are doing?”
[Doing fine, what are doing now, Haruko?]
Haruko stood up and walked where she hang photos on the wall “nothing much I’m in my bedroom, I’m done with school work.” Haruko looked at one of the photo “what about you?” she asked.
[I was reading a book before I call you, you left in hurry after school, I didn’t have a chance to talk you.]
“Talking about what?”
[you were stressed out when I talked to you at the roof, are you sure you are ok?]
“y-yes I am fine.” Haruko lied ‘I can’t tell her, damn my heart beating so fast inside my chest, each time I talk to her, see her, hearing her voice, laugh, everything.’ She thought.
[glad you are fine… listen Haruko I can see you tomorrow after school, if you are not busy doing anything.]
“I’m not busy, why you asking?”
[I wonder if we can watch movie together, dinner, what you ever want to go, I want to know you more, Haruko.]
Haruko’s heart beated like crazy inside Haruko’s chest when Haruko heard Chikane say it ‘oh god, she’s asking me out, what to do…’ she thought.
[I want to know my friend Haruko.]
“I…” Haruko stopped ‘it can’t be dating thank god, it’s hang out as friends do.’ Haruko thought as she gathered her courage “I love to Chikane.” She smiled.
[That’s great, after school I come to your place.]
“Ok I will give you my address.” Haruko said as she smiled, she gave Chikane her address, they both hanged up, then an image came to Haruko “that is it, it is her.” She smiled, Haruko went to her desk and griped her sketch book and her pencil and began to draw.

@ Testarossa household …..
The girls sat in Fate’s bedroom talking; Nanoha told the girls about what she has in her mind, which it shocked everyone.
Alisa looked at Nanoha unbelieving what Nanoha just said “Nanoha you must be crazy.” She said.
Suzuka shocked what Nanoha said too “but Nanoha that can’t be true, are you sure?” she looked at Nanoha.
Nanoha nodded “yes I am sure.” She answered; I already talked to Fate about.
The girls looked at Fate “its true that Haruko been acting strange lately, she always blush whenever she’s around Chikane.” She said as she looked at the girls.
Carim looked at Fate and Nanoha “are you both sure about it, we are talking here about Haruko who is our friend and also Nanoha’s twin sister.” She said as she looked at Nanoha “you don’t plan to get Haruko and Chikane together, do you?” she asked.
“What if it is? would be cool to see Haruko go all lovely around Chikane?” Hayate asked ‘it will be great and I will captures all Haruko’s and Chikane moments.’ She grinned like cat that found a tuna.
“don’t even think about it Hayate.” Nanoha warned.
Hayate looked at Nanoha “awa Nanoha I just having fun.” She smiled.
Nanoha shook her head, Suzuka looked at Nanoha “if Haruko really has feelings for Chikane, how do we know that Chikane has the same feelings for Haruko?” she asked.
Everyone looked at her “you are right, Suzuka.” Alisa said as she seemed to be thinking “I have an idea.” She smiled.
“What is it?” Carim asked.
Alisa told them her plan, everyone thought about it and saw that it’s very good idea, if they can just make Haruko tell them and Chikane too “so what then?” Nanoha asked.
Alisa seemed to thinking “hhhhmm no idea, anyone?” she looked at the girls.
“I know… lets watch them.” Hayate said as she beamed.
Nanoha put her index on her chin “that will work but we have to watch them for far way so they don’t know that they both been watch.” She said.
Fate nodded “we will start it tomorrow.” She said, all of them agreed.
@ Takamachi household…..
Nanoha walked into the house “I’m home.” She said as she took off her shoes, Momoko Takamachi walked out the living room “welcome home Nanoha, how your day?” she asked.
“it was fine.” Nanoha answered, she hugged her mother who hugged her back, Nanoha backed away then she looked around “where are everyone?” she asked.
“Your father, Kyōya and Miyuki are in the living room.” Momoko answered.
“Where is Haruko?”
Momoko looked at stairs “she’s in her bedroom.” She answered.
Nanoha went upstairs to her bedroom, she took off her school uniform, she wore her pink pajama, she hanged her uniform, and she went outside her bedroom and headed to Haruko’s bedroom.
Nanoha knock the door but no answer came, she opened the door to see her younger twin sister sleep on desk, crossed arms, head rested on them, Nanoha walked to her and put her hand on Haruko’s shoulder and began to wake her up.
“Haruko wake up.”
Haruko stirred, her amethyst and blue eyes snapped, she yawned “come on, you sleep in bed.” Nanoha smiled.
Haruko stood up and went to her bed, Haruko threw herself on her bed, face on pillow, Nanoha giggled and shook her head, she covered sister with blanket, Nanoha switched the lights off and leaved Haruko’s bedroom closing the door behind her.
Good job there, Raging Heart~
So far it seems like you're going to center the plot around the development of Chikane and Haruko, that's cool. I may be wrong, but probably you're including so much characters if that's your plot idea, although if you may as well be planing something bigger and using them all.
Please keep the good job, I'll be looking forward to your next update.

I hated the ground at my feet. I hated the fields, those long expanses of nothing far as the eye could see. The ice, the snow, it quaked, broke and boiled forth into steam as I walked across it. My instincts became a flame within my soul. Forward was all I knew. Even as the path became deeper and the pool of boiling water surrounded me, I walked. Even as I nearly drowned in my own wake, I walked on. I walked forward without stopping as the ground hissed and cracked. I didn't stop as that would bring death. I feared death so I defied it. As long as I was alive, death would never be my master. As long as I was alive, I would never have a master. I was free. My life was an explosion.

"There!" A man shouted. "The tracks end over there, you were right. It was man made!"
"Man? These foot prints are of a child. Press on, let's see if the pour soul is alive."
"Yes, Sir!" He ran forward and stopped short of the end. The ground had burned and refrozen many times. He knelt down and scanned her. "She's alive, some how."
The older man called up a screen. "Medic team, here are my coordinates, send care at once."
"Yes, sir!" The team responded on the other end.
"How can she still be alive, sir?" The young enforcer asked. The older man knelt down beside the body. He felt the dirt and looked down the path of burnt ground amidst melted snow.
--
Years later.
Nanoha Takamachi walked through the kitchen area and into the hallway. She had finished carrying boxes into their new residence. There was much on her mind as the new quarter started. "Fate-chan, are you in the bedroom?"
"Yes, the bed is wonderful."
"Mind if I join you?" Nanoha teased.
"Only if you bring strawberries." Fate joked in return.
Nanoha laughed, "Aw, I ate those for breakfast." She walked into the bedroom and sat beside her best friend. They were to be combat instructors this year as Ace Commanders of Stars and Lightning divisions. Riot Force Six would gain new students soon and the missions would start in haste. Fate reflected on this. "I'm surprised you are as thrilled as I am to be a combat instructor this year." Nanoha confessed. She picked up the brush from the nightstand and ran it through her hair as she mused over that thought. She had looked over the biographies and reports on the cadets and she had to be honest. She was worried about one of them. She sat upon the bed.
"You are worried about me?" Fate offered her hand. Nanoha looked into her deep red eyes and smiled. She handed over the brush and tossed her hair behind her shoulders. Fate repositioned herself behind her and began brushing. "I will do what I learned best from my favorite teacher."
"Lindy?" Nanoha smiled.
"You, silly." Fate laughed. "Lindy-mama was a fine teacher and she'd still give you a good one two."
Nanoha laughed this time, "I suck at mahjong."
"Yes you do."
"Don't agree with me." Nanoha stuck her tongue out. They both laughed and took a moment to reflect. "Tempest is..."
Fate frowned and stopped brushing. "Cadet Fury Tempest. She was abandoned on a remote nonadministrative planet." She didn't like the story and she was sure Fury Tempest hated it even more. "We were unable to trace her back to which group was responsible, unfortunately. She might be an artificial mage." She thought about it, "She was the only survivor. There must have been a hundred children who died in that cold. I guess they didn't know what she was capable of." She smiled, "She is special. Although, I'd like to say all our cadets are special. We look after the best and brightest candidates the TSAB comes across. We were accepted into the force after all." She smiled.
"We were. A lifetime ago. Nyahaa, that is so funny to say when you are 19."
"It is, but I'm glad we spent it like we did." Fate started brushing again. "Despite everything."
"So am I. That girl's powers manifested on that planet?"
"That's the theory. Her will to live is extraordinary."
"So was yours." Nanoha turned her head and smiled one of her trademarks. Fate lost herself in it for a moment. "Oh, Vita asked to watch the infamous city destroyer with you today."
Fate blinked. "We're using the holofield so the destruction will be controlled. Still, I was afraid she'd break our budget." Fate sighed.
"Poor Hayate-chan."
--
Later on that morning.
Hayate walked into her office and closed the door behind her. "Good morning Rein-chan." Hayate smiled. She saw rein at her new desk and had to tease the little girl.
"Good morning to you, Hayate-chan!" Rein laughed.
"Enjoying your new desk?" She knelt down to it.
"I love it!" She spun around in her chair once.
Hayate laughed and sat at her desk. The desk phone beeped. She pushed a button. "Shari has arrived." Her secretary spoke.
"Please, Let her in." Hayate smiled. Her door opened, "Shari! Welcome."
"It's good to see you, Hayate. I've come to watch the training."
"I will be hosting." Rein smiled.
"I've been hard at work on Cadet Tempest's four core system. They act as regulators for her inate mana affinity."
Hayate nodded, "To think she'd walk around with a constant flame aura if not for the devices. Is there a threat of burn out?"
"I believe so. I am not sure how much much mana she can expend until then." Shari ran theories through her head, but gave up. She wasn't here for that. "One thing I thought of tho, her Linker Core has been in a constant on state since she was young. She was found in a scorched puddle on an icy planet. They even tracked the path she walked, must have been five miles before she collapsed."
"Remarkable. I wish we could find her former masters. Slavery is a horrible thing."
"It is. The constant on status of her Linker Core, it's not training in the usual sense, but perhaps it's like doing pushups every waking moment. Her limits are wider."
"Always amazing people to find. Think she will be a star someday?"
"She doesn't look like a leader to me. The S exams require more than just magical prowess." She nodded, "S magic is not out of her reach."
"If she does gain S magic, she will get limiters. I'm afraid she won't take to that."
"Such a rebel." Shari sighed.
"Showtime!" Rein's face appeared on a floating screen. These two cadets would join the vacant positions in Lighting Squad where Fate was their squad leader and teacher. That is if they could pass this test. "Cadet Hana Seabring, it is a great pleasure to meet you again." Rein bowed.
"I am pleased to see you today, Miss Rein." Hana curtsied. She was from an allied world, one of the oldest allies in the treatise. Many mages were scouted from there, but Hana was a summoner. A rare talent that many in the military greatly respected while others envied. It was no secret her family had money invested into the TSAB.
Rein smiled. She really liked this cadet and if it weren't for her partner, she would have passed on the first try. Rein bit her breath as the devil herself ran into view. She sighed at the long track of scorched concrete behind her. It couldn't be helped.
"Fu-chan." Hana smiled.
"HA-CHA~N!" Fury shouted. She had her arms raised and her lips were puckered.
Hana didn't blink, "I am so glad you could make it." Hana side stepped. Fury fell on the ground. She nearly broke her nose on the pavement.
"You tricked me!" Fury shot upwards and went for another hug only to miss again.
"CADET FURY TEMPEST!" Rein shouted through the com. It felt like de ja vu. This very scene happened twice before.
"YES MA'AM!" Fury saluted her. Rein wondered if the girl's memory was as short as her fuse.
"Better." Rein crossed her arms. She knew she wasn't supposed to be their teacher. Fate would have an earful from her later. She looked over the two cadets once more and sighed. Hana was the picture of grace and elegance. Her fashion consissted of a long Celtic styled dress in shades of green, accented by lace and it gave off a silken sheen. Her device was the storage boost type. There were 6 gems, two at her wrists, two at her ankles, one in a necklace and one at her waist. They were once a collection of jewelry handed down by her family, but now they were outfitted with deep emerald colored gems that served as a boost to her latent powers.
Her hair was a lavish dark green with a traditional Celtic braid crowning her hair and keeping it from her elven face. A light green ribbon tied the braid off in the back and was let loose down her hair to her shoulders. She favored taking things slowly and surely. She loved animals and had a mana affinity towards the nature she so loved. Rein was excited to see her in action.
Fury was another story altogether. She was a slave survivor found by mere chance on an abandoned, icy outpost planet. It was still out of range of most TSAB ships. Short spiked three toned red hair, bright red eyes, and a toothy smile made for a face that hated authority, reason and logic. Her armor was blatantly red, emblazoned and skin fitting. To top it off she had black warpaint on her face and arms where skin remained. Two compact gauntlets with large cores covered her forearms and two more slightly thicker gauntlets with large secondary cores were attached to her legs. A close range protege preferring to punch and kick her way through everything. Her devices were also the storage type, but she was hoping for an upgrade. Naturally, she had an affinity towards fire. Although, not rare her affinity towards it was unusually high.
"Fury if you blow up another building, I will have to, once again, dock points on your attempt. Hana, I know you have given your answer once before, but for the record. If you wish a partner transfer, one may be provided."
"I, respectfully, decline." Hana smiled.
"Yes!" Fury jumped. The ground below her charred when she landed.
"Recorded. Alright, for your fourth attempt!" A map appeared on another screen. "You have ten minutes to neutralize 50 enemy targets. You have 25 friendly targets mixed in. The faster, safer, more accurate run scores the highest. So, protect each other, do your best and have fun." Rein smiled.
Fury tried to high five Hana, but was ignored.
"One more thing. Just to be clear. Fury," Rein took a deep breath, "DO NOT BLOW UP THE BUILDINGS!"
"Damn." She smiled.
"Do you agree to these terms?"
"Yes, Ma'am!" They saluted.
--
Fate and Vita approached the entrance of the training platform. Fate had done this three times before and knew well the cut off date was fast approaching. She might have to select another candidate. She blew air from her nose in dissatisfaction; she really hoped to have Cadet Seabring on her team. She heard a rumor one of her summons was a falcon known for speed.
She wanted to race it someday.
"This better be good." Vita cracked her knuckles. Five screens spanned in front of them.
"Rein here! They are ready!"
"Good, I approve of training." Fate keyed into one screen. Her cadets saluted her, "Make me proud."
"Yes, ma'am." Hana smiled. Fury just grinned from ear to ear. She loved this course and started bouncing on her feet back and forth, her fingers were also moving quickly. Her grin bared teeth and her eyes were wide.
"Countdown commence in three...two...one..." As soon as one was counted off, Fury vanished. Smoke raised in her wake. "commence..." Fate blinked. "Vita, was that a false start?"
"I blinked." Vita frowned.
"I hope they pass." Fate frowned.
Rein also loved doing commentary on the events and after survivng three prior ranking attempts, she was getting good at it. "And Fury is off. She isn't a flier so she used her contact detonation technique to launch herself into the air. She's already smashed through a window into the middle of a crossfire. Another detonation bounced her off the ceiling and then off a wall. The shots missed completely. Five enemies are down in succession. Fury, don't gloat to the cameras!" Rein scolded.
"Hehe," Fury gave a thumbs up to one of the tiny camera orbs. Her first run proved just how deadly accurate she could be. Many of the cameras were taken out despite their discreetness.
"What is she doing?" Vita was pointing to Hana on another screen. She had her eyes closed and her hands clasped.
"She's a summoner, but she has good long range magic. She can assist without being in the fight for a longer period of time."
"She still needs to show teamwork, application and whatever this time." Vita gave Fate a questioning look.
"She is, just watch." Fate smiled.
"Fury just cleaned through another long hallway with incredible speed. Ah, she almost smashed into a friendly target! Careful you fool!" Rein shouted. None of this could be heard by her, of course. Fury patted the friendly on the 'head' and dashed towards a large room.
A huge vine ripped through the ground and curled upwards. It split the room into quadrants. Fury blasted into the air and detonated off of the vine and into a wall. She detonated off her feet and into an enemy. Once again bouncing from foe to foe and back into the vine. She laughed as the explosions echoed around her in the large room. She loved this room and Hana knew just how to make it fun.
"Ah, but thats not it?" Vita asked.
"No, not all. She should be ready by now." Fate was confident.
"Another room cleared and only two cameras destroyed. That's a new record!" Rein facepalmed. "Shari, could you add a few more cameras out there just in case, thank you." She smiled sweetly and then returned her serious face for the commentary, "Fury are you lost?"
"Ha-chan!" Fury blasted to the roof of the building. She had seen a shadow pass outside. "Great vine work there."
On the roof with her was Hana's falcon summon, Hugin. He blinked his eyes and regarded the girl. "Fu-chan," He relayed Hana's telepathy, "There are three large drones with heavy AMF waiting near the exit. You've been shot down by one before."
"You have a plan? I know I have a plan."
"Anarchy is not a plan." Hana sighed, "Yes, please run distraction until I arrive with Fenrir. I'll also clear the rest for you with Hugin."
"Good, cause that chicken looks like he's hungry." Fury ran off the side of the building and cratered the concrete below her.
"Its not a chicken!" Hana covered her mouth at the outburst. "Sorry. Hugin, engage the combat drones in the east side sector. Relay your sight to me." Her gems illuminated her dress in a remarkable fashion. A large magic circle spun around her and gave off a green hue. "Targets sighted, dodge, strike..." She commanded her summon. She raised and lowered her arms, took a step back and turned.
"Dancing?" Vita smiled.
"You could say that. Shari was ecstatic when she coined the term 'piloting a falcon'. Personally, I think she is guiding it while using it's eyes. They work together."
"I just hit things." Vita shrugged. "That Fury seems to understand."
"I wonder."
"Fu-chan..." Hana sighed as another wall caved in from too many blasts. Shots rang out in all directions as Fury dodged them and blasted through another window. She shoved her hand through another minor AMF field and detonated. The drone smashed into the wall and impacted there. "Ha!" Fury laughed. "I better pass this stupid test. I forgot how many times I'm allowed to take it."
Fury blasted outside again and shot down the street, "Besides, Hana promised me a kiss, finally!"
Vita blinked, "She isn't even taking any coherent path!"
"She's always moving. It's a valid technique, but it also makes her late to pretty much everything." Fate nodded. "I can work with that."
"Plan on passing her already?"
"She shaved twenty seconds and caused less destruction up until this point."
"And?"
"Those." Fate changed the screen to the three large round drones with the heavy AMF fields. "Extra difficulty, more points."
"Three at once?" Vita nodded, "I see you also learned the ways of the White Devil."
"Nanoha was my favorite teacher."
"It hurts, but it works." Vita nodded knowingly.
Hana opened her eyes and raised her arms. "Great mother Gaia, I ask for your blessing. I call forth Fenrir!" A large green summon circle appeared before her. An enormous wolf materialized, reared up and howled.
Vita laughed uneasily, "Is she showing off?"
Rein shoved their screens aside, "I'm commentating! Fenrir, the large wolf summon has been called forth by the Celtic beauty, Hana Seabring! The wolf is matched only by our fan favorite Zafira in strength and speed. The white and grey furry warrior has seen many battles as her personal protector. Word has it she befriended him while on a journey through the woods and called him her personal spirit guide. Her tribe then called her a woman, so awesome!" Rein eyes went wide as the wolf pounced onto a drone and tore it apart like a puppy and a Barbie doll. "AIIEEE!"
"Rein, calm down!" Vita scolded gently. "I swear, Shari needs to have a look at her."
Fate only smiled. "She's showing her strengths one at a time. I don't believe she will summon her largest one."
"She has a large one." Vita was showing teeth now.
"Jörmungandr, the giant serpent. It still needs studied, but rumor has it it can take your attacks for nearly an hour."
"Does it hit hard?"
"It's not fast."
"So it does." Vita nodded.
"OK! They are approaching the boss!" Rein pumped her fist in the air.
Fate sighed, "It's not a game, Rein." Rein pouted and ignored her.
"Ha-chan. Where are you?" Fury smiled and bashed through another wall. There were plants growing all over the inside of the building. Many of which were holding the building together. Hana wasn't sure if that was cheating or not, but Fury had to smile at the thought. That girl always looked after her no matter what. She'd get that kiss and more someday. A large energy blast shot through a window. Fury blasted in reflex and flailed inthe air. She spun and landed on her butt. Another blast fired and she counted the time it took between blasts without a thought.
She blasted, ducked and weaved between the successive blasts. She knew what it felt like to be hit by one and that she couldn't just deflect it with her contact detonations. All she had to do was run distraction, but she wanted a piece of it.
"Root grapple." Hana commanded. She was walking with Fenrir outside, not far from the battle. Large vines ripped through the ground and worked their way around the three drones. Fury grinned and blasted through the wall just as the vines closed the way behind her. Hana was almost surprised.
"You idiot." Vita was dumbfounded. Fate could only shake her head.
Rein. however, was shouting at the screen, "YOU IDIOT, IDIOT, IDIOT!"
"Shari...." Fate frowned.
"Yes, yes." Shari bent down and tapped on her desk. "May I?"
"Fine." Rein smiled.
"The three drones have their AMF on full. Their arms have little range of movement. Fury has started running in a circle. Detonation strikes are too slow. The vines will no doubt catch fire and the building will be destroyed along with the drones. Oh, this is cool, the suffocation of oxygen will make the fire inside erupt full force once that opening she made is reestablished. The temperatures in there will be hot enough to melt, well." Shari thought for a second. "I'll call tech support, this might damage part of the holofield." She walked away from the screen.
"Shari! None of that happened yet!" Rein complained and flailed her arms. "You're doing it wrong! Mou!" she puffed her cheeks out.
"But..." Vita frowned, "Aren't they disqualified for destroying a building?" Vita asked as the building exploded. Fury climbed out of the rubble and coughed. She laughed and ran over to Hana, now as charcoaled as the ground she walked on.
"Vita, this entire block was destroyed last time." Fate pointed out the areas on the map. "It won't be a high score, but they might pass." Fate blinked as another wall near the beggining collapsed.
"Whatever, you're teaching them." Vita lost interest and placed her hands behind her head. "Let me know if you want me to pound them."
"Yes."
--
"Ha-chan, Kiss, Kiss!"
"Your breath, Fu-chan." Hana blocked her lips with a finger and turned aside.
"Mou!"
--
That night.
Nanoha laid on the bed laughing. She couldn't get enough of this. "Rein was having so much fun out there!"
"Yes, she was. I had to fail them again." Fate sighed. "Cadet Seabring only did enough to pass. She made no mistakes on her own. Together with Fury her marks were, well... That final battle was a strategically insane." Fate raised her eyebrows. "I can't give a good score, despite how effective it was."
"Cadet Tempest didn't look too hot afterward." Nanoha blinked and started laughing again. "Nyaha... but I know what you meant. They will be defending friendly territory some day, so that technique is a terrible idea. Still, they might need it someday. I approve of them as teammates, if you ask me."
"If only Seabring keeps stringing her along with that promise of a kiss." Fate laughed. She calmed and looked at Nanoha. "Her injuries were minimal, thankfully." She shrugged, "Fury's currently under Shamal-sensei's care for smoke inhalation. She forgot she had to breath. Shari did say she will augment her jacket to compensate for smoke better." Fate sighed, "I compiled the results of the four tests. I will turn in the report first thing tomorrow morning to the head office and recommend they be put under my command."
"Seriously?" Nanoha blinked again.
"Yes."
"No, seriously." She dodged a pillow tossed at her. "Nyahaha." She grabbed another and flung it.
The pillow slid off of Fate's face and into her hands, "Alright, now you've done it." She jumped on the bed.
That was great.
This first chapter looks like a nice remake of the beginning of StrikerS, and if you ask me, so far I prefer yours. I liked your original characters (MTG FTW!), it's nice to see them under the command of Fate. I think you did well in the action scenes, they were well spiced with the commentaries. The NanoFate fluff was nice too, I like how you're portraying their relationship, and I hope to see more of this too.
You could call them either way, and you would be "right", but only the technical term is used by those who know the differnce.
True.

Wolkenritter =/= Familiars, although they are termed as such and doing pretty much the same things.
The thing here is that we don't exactly know the amount of autonomy familiars like Arf have, though I personally believe that they have to obey a master's orders regardless of their own opinions.

Thing is, Hayate only assumed full responsibility and control over the Yami no Sho only at the end of A's. Before that, the Wolkenritters were acting on their own despite Hayate's orders.
Darn. I realise I just shot myself in the foot... >.<

Hmmm, good point. You think public fear could make this idea work?

I believe I read somewhere in the FAQ that upon creation, a set of terms is made and agreed upon by both parties. As long as the order lies withing the terms, the familiar will follow them regardless of opinion. If not, then the familiar can refuse.

Indeed, because it's the 'acting on their own' part that is the worry here.
Hmmm... I think that we're getting a bit out off topic here
If I'm not wrong, this disscusion should take place here

not time to really do anything meaningful, so I present you with chibi Vivio funny moments.
Spoiler for At the zoo:
Vivio ran to the rails in front of the monkey exibit at the local zoo and grabbed the bars with both hands. With a few excited hops, she encouraged Nanoha to bend over and pick her up to balance on her hip so she could see better. "Mama!" The girl pointed happily as one monkey swung around on the trees inside the large cage. "Look, look, that one's swinging!"
Fate couldn't help but smile at her daughter as Nanoha struggled to keep the child still. "Fate-mama! Fate-mama!" Vivio called out, making the blonde move closer to her family. "Look!" She pointed to two monkies who were in the process of mating rather violently. "Those two are doing the same thing you and Nanoha-mama do when you wear that funny belt-type thingie!"
The area around the family went deathly silent while the two mothers felt their world stop for a few small seconds before sudden laughter erupted all around them. "Vi-Vivio!" Nanoha tried to stammer out while quickly walking away from the people wiping tears from their eyes as they chuckled. "Forget you ever saw that!"
"But why?" Vivio asked innocently.
Fate tugged on Nanoha's ear so she could whisper harshly into it. "I told you she was awake!"
Spoiler for aaaand a small prequel to my short:
"Mama!" Vivio ran into the house like a speeding bullet as soon as she got home from school. "Mama! Mama!"
"Vivio," Fate answered calmly as her daughter ran into her legs to hug them. "Remember to use your indoor voice, and take your shoes off at the door."
"Sorry," Vivio tried to calm down but perked right back up again when she held up a large paper. "Look what I drew in arts and craft class today!" She revealed a rather childish crayon drawing of Nanoha and Fate in a 'have a good day' kiss. "This is Nanoha-mama," she explained needlessly as the two mothers looked at each other with furiously blushing cheeks. "And this is Fate-mama!"
"I-It looks lovely." Nanoha praised her while glancing at Fate.
"Very nice, Vivio." Fate knelt down and accepted the picture, knowing she would have to put it on the refrigerator along with the other ones. "Um, why don't you run take your shoes off and put your books up?"
"Yes mama!" Vivio nodded happily and ran out of the kitchen.
Nanoha looked over at Fate, who was grinning in embarrassment. "Well," the brown haired mother spoke nervously. "It seems that Vivio really likes us."
Hi guys; happy to join you all in this; I've read DezoPenguin's fics and a few of Satashi's over at fanfiction.net. DezoPenguin pointed me over here when I was petulant about his silence on his Vivio set over there recently.
So here I am.

That's all for now
Gotta love the innocent-kid-finds-out-(but-really-doesn't)-about-naughty-things short. The zoo one is incredibly embarrassing, but I'd think that there'd be quite a few kids through the teacher's experience that had drawn similar... unfortunate scenes. Not that Fate or Nanoha's embarrassment would care about that, but it's not nearly as bad as the zoo one.

Awkward moment is awkward.
That was very much expected from the bunny couple

The dwindling sun rays made a final attempt to breach the flimsy white lace curtains. The brilliant orange beams stretched across the maroon carpeted room, reaching for the far end before falling short midway across. Its weakening rays hit an inverted glass tumbler sitting on its open end on a polished oak round table. The hexagonal patterns spanning around the glass surface reflected the orange light around the room. A dark speck no bigger than a corn kennel, seemingly flew upwards and hit the bottom of the glass tumbler with a sharp rap. The beetle climbed down in a daze, yet it did not abandon its attempt to escape. Crawling around the rim of the glass, it actively sought an opening large enough for its body to crawl through. Finding none after having looped an entire round, it once again flung itself off its rear limbs, hitting the glass surface with a resounding crack before falling back to the table top from gravity’s pull. Its large eyes, oddly disproportional to its brown hull body glittered in the weak sunlight, a myriad of colours shimmering in its unfocused glaze. Idly, a blonde woman whose hair fell about in a curtain of finely spun golden threads reached out a slender finger and prodded the tumbler. The beetle went rigid before hopping around on the spot as it tried to figure out what had caused the sudden air movement. The blonde pushed the glass tumbler forwards till the rim nudged against the captive beetle. The beetle took flight immediately, spreading open its translucent brown wings hidden beneath the protective outer shell. Angrily, it flew into the glass walls imprisoning it, bouncing around in the enclosed area. The furious buzz of its wings was inaudible even in the quiet room. A spark ignited in the blonde’s burgundy eyes as she watched with mild interest at how the tiny insect fought to escape. Watching as it fought to be freed from what imprisons it, fighting so it could once again fly in the sky it so loves.

Then go here, and enjoy this piece of art.
Thanks, I guess I should cross post to the OC thread. I have many misgivings on concepts. I had forgotten in later chapters about the 'regulator' aspect of her device/s. Four cores mean what? I have no idea, to be frank. The power she uses as shown in chapter one means that each core allows for explosions individually/ perhaps if any are damaged, then the others function without problems. is this a feature or is this expected?
Basically I didn't want to have her create explosions from any part of her body she wanted, but localize it to her limbs.
Hard to say if I have a nuance, normal, or over powering (doubt it, really). They will be replaced by Loki eventually so it will talk. They are all him. I wanted to make it a Belkan tech, but the magic circle somehow looks better stylistically with 'comet strike' than a triangle. I also have no idea where to load cartridges.
I consider Fury an unwielded blade.

Hey everyone, here is Crossing Hearts part four, enjoy reading it.
Spoiler for Crossing Hearts Part four:
Part Four
Haruko ran into house, she took off her shoes “we are home.” She said before she ran upstairs to her bedroom, Momoko went outside the kitchen and looked to see Nanoha taking off her shoes.
“Welcome home.” Momoko smiled “how was your day and Haruko’s?” she asked.
“It was fine.” Nanoha answered.
Momoko looked at Nanoha “why is Haruko is so happy?” she asked.
“She’s going out with Chikane at five….” Nanoha stopped when Momoko and she heard a loud thud coming from upstairs; they both ran to Haruko’s bedroom.
Haruko was on her back on floor, she rubbed her head “ow.” Her tears formed, they both ran to her and knelt next to her.
Momoko helped Haruko to sit “oh Haruko, be careful dear.” She said as she then check Haruko’s head.
“Haruko, are you ok?” Nanoha asked.
Haruko looked at Nanoha and Momoko “I’m fine.” She answered.
Momoko stood up “you are not hurt.” She said “be careful Haruko.” She added as she smiled to her daughter, she lean and ran her hand through Haruko’s hair.
“I will, I’m sorry to worry you and Nanoha.”
“that’s ok.” With that Momoko leaved Haruko’s bedroom, Nanoha looked at Haruko “why you are in hurry?” she asked.
“I….”
“is that because you are going on date with Chikane?” Nanoha teased Haruko who blushed in cherry pink
Nanoha giggled “I’m kidding, if it’s true, I am ok with it.” She grinned, Haruko’s blush darker “my baby sister is so cute.” She pinched Haruko’s cheek.
Haruko who blushed really red, everyone will mistake her for tomato “NANOHA!” Haruko stunned, Nanoha laughed hard, her shoulders shook from her
Haruko rolled her eyes “mou that’s not funny.” She pouted.
Nanoha stopped laughing, she smiled as she played with Haruko’s hair “you are clumsy Haruko.” She said as she stood up “hurry up and get ready, you don’t want to make Chikane wait for you.” She looked at Haruko who mumbled something about pay back Nanoha.
Nanoha leaved Haruko’s bedroom, she went to her bedroom as soon as she entered her bedroom, and her cell phone rang, Nanoha answered it, it was Fate.
It was 4:56 pm, Haruko checked she got her keys, her wallet, cash and her cell phone, she made sure, she got the things, she needed, Haruko went downstairs and she passed the living room only to stop, she looked into the living room to see Fate, Hayate, Yunno and Nanoha sitting there “Hey everyone.” She said.
“Going out today, Haruko?” Yunno asked.
Haruko nodded “yeah I am.” She smiled.
Fate smiled “have fun.” She said as she then looked at Hayate who grinning like…Fate elbowed her.
“I will, see you later.”
“Take care Haruko.”
“I will.” With that Haruko walked out the living room, she wore her boots and walked outside, she looked to see a black limo pulled over, the driver went out of his seat and opened the door of the limo, Chikane got out of the limo and stood up, she smiled at Haruko “hello Haruko.” She said in warm tone.
“Hey Chikane.” Haruko smiled back at Chikane, Chikane looked at Haruko ‘she’s so cute and beautiful.’ She thought, she shook her head to clear it ‘what I am thinking?’ she wander, she looked to see Haruko looked worry.
“is something wrong, Chikane?”
Chikane smiled “nothing wrong.” She answered “ready to go?” she asked, Haruko answered, they both got in the limo, the driver closed the door, he got in his seat and drove off.
Fate, Nanoha, Yunno and Hayate took the bus, Nanoha sent a SMS to Alisa, Suzuka, Carim that Haruko left with Chikane, and they headed to the cinema.
“we have the camera with us?” Fate asked.
Hayate took out her camera and Yunno took out his “this will be fun, taking pictures of Haruko.” She grinned.
Everyone rolled there eyes but Hayate who’s happy as a kid who found candy bars “I can’t believe it.” Yunno signed “what have you been thinking Hayate?” he asked.
Hayate winked “that’s a secret.” She answered.
Alisa, Suzuka and Carim were inside waiting for Chikane and Haruko, they looked to see there two friends walked in, she went to cut tickets for a movie, Alisa sent a SMS to Nanoha’s cell phone, Suzuka took pictures of Haruko and Chikane looking at each other smiling and Carim did too.
“Nanoha and others will be in few moments.” Alisa told Carim and Suzuka nodded to her.
Chikane walked in hall with red walls, posters of movies, she looked at Haruko “Haruko, why do you want to watch Twilight from all the movies?” she asked.
“I heard it’s very cool one.” Haruko answered with smile.
Chikane smiled to her “I thought Twilight is a horror movie.” She said as she looked at Haruko who seemed to be thinking before she says anything “the one who did it said so but it’s not horror.” Haruko answered, they both walked into inside the room where the movie was.
After the movie; Chikane and Haruko went to the mall, went to shops, Haruko wanted to try few things, Chikane agreed to her, Haruko took few cloths were her to try in fitting room, Chikane sat on one of chairs in fitting room.
Haruko threw a fashion show for Chikane, after Haruko done, they two leaved the shop only to entered Jeans top, and Haruko looked at Chikane and grinned as an idea or an image pop in her mind.
“hey Chikane, will you wait me in the fitting room?” Haruko asked.
Chikane looked at her “what you have in mind?” she asked.
Haruko smiled a mysterious smile to her “go in and you will know.” She answered “Chikane what is your size?” she asked.
Chikane told her and went to in the fitting room, Haruko picked up two jeans trousers, and two belt with chain hanging on it, Haruko looked at black tee-shirt and picked three, one of herself and the other two for Chikane to try them.
Haruko walked inside the fitting room, she sat her tee-shirt, jeans trousers and belt, she wanted to try, she looked at Chikane and handles her, Chikane looked at her “go on.” Haruko said.
Chikane walked in closing the door behind her, Haruko sat on chair waiting, she stood up and walked around, minutes later, the door was opened as soon as Chikane came to Haruko’s view; Haruko fell on floor, land on her butt, her jaw dropped to floor.
Chikane giggled at Haruko’s, Haruko closed her mouth and looked at Chikane, Chikane smiled and helped Haruko up “Haruko how I look?” she asked.
“I will stay this.” Haruko looked at Chikane “you are… so beautiful and sexy… I don’t have any words.” She added as soon as Haruko said sexy, she blushed.
Chikane smiled “thank you Haruko, well I guess I will buy it since you pick it up for me.” She teased Haruko; she watched Haruko’s blush became darker.
Haruko felt her cheeks burning “I…” she stopped unsure what she to say.
Chikane looked at Haruko “it’s your turn to show me.” She said, she then walked in the room closing the door behind her; she reappeared again wearing her cloths, Chikane looked at Haruko “your turn.” She said.
Haruko nodded as she took her the jeans, the tee-shirt and belt to try it, she walked in, few minutes later, she walked up, Chikane looked at her “you looks beautiful Haruko, come here.” she said.
Haruko walked closer to Chikane who stood up, Haruko looked away from Chikane’s eyes, she felt Chikane looking at her “you need untie your hair and let it fall.” She suggested.
Haruko nodded, she then looked at Chikane to see Chikane smiling at her, she smiled at Chikane, after they brought from Jeans, and Haruko brought a new sketch book and drawing tools she needed.
Chikane and Haruko ate dinner at famous Italian restaurant; they talked and learned more about each others, after dinner, the limo stopped in front of Haruko’s house, the two friends said goodnight to each others, Chikane watched Haruko to front door before the limo drove off.
Haruko walked into house “I’m home.” She called out.
“Welcome home Haruko.” Momoko called out from the kitchen, Haruko walked to the living room, she saw her father, Kyōya and Miyuki “hey dad, Kyōya and Miyuki.” She smiled.
“Haruko, how as your day?” Shirō asked looking at his daughter.
“it was fun.” Haruko beamed as she looked at her dad, her older brother and her sister “I will go to my room.” She added as she went upstairs.
“Someone is in good mood.” Kyōya said as he looked to where Haruko stood, Miyuki looked at him “it been a year or so since she been this happy, must be her new friend.” She said as she seemed to be thinking.
Haruko stopped and looked to see Nanoha’s bedroom door opened, she looked to see Nanoha laid on her back “Hey Nanoha.” She said as she smiled.
Nanoha looked at her and sat “Haruko hi, how your day with Chikane?” she asked.
“it fine, I had a lot of fun.” Haruko answered “what about you?” she asked.
“it was tiring day.” Nanoha answered then she looked at Haruko who lean on the door frame with evil grin on her face “what?” she asked.
“Fate did it again. she wove you.”
Nanoha stunned “HARUKO!” she then picked a pillow and threw it at Haruko who dogged and ran outside Nanoha’s bedroom laughing.
Haruko entered her bedroom, she put her shopping bags on floor next to her desk, she placed her cell phone on desk along with her wallet, Haruko took clean cloths and towel, she went to the bathroom and took shower.
15 minutes later, Haruko went to her bedroom, a towel on her shoulders, as soon as she walked in, her cell phone rang a message tone, Haruko picked up and flipped open, it was a SMS from Chikane.
From: Chikane.
To: Haruko.
Good evening Haruko, I hope you love going out with me? Well I have lots of fun for long time, I wonder if you want to do it again soon? Goodnight and have sweet dream.
Haruko smiled as she read it, Haruko typed SMS to Chikane and send it, she flipped close and put it on her nightstand.

Chikane half laid on pillows of queen size bed, she read a novel when her cell phone rang a message tone, Chikane flipped her blue cell phone opened and read it.

Cuídese y sigan sonriendo
yes, that image was the one that inspired it :3
Also... is this a story about a beetle? The author seemed way to focused on un-needed detail rather than trying to get my attention. I read a little more and... can't really say I like this on T_T
I take no responsibility for what is about to read in this post. I blame it on several recent posts and crack from the OCT.
Spoiler for I am:
It is yet another quiet evening in the city of Cranagan. Though it appears to be peaceful, evil lurks within its shadows this night. The alarms of a local lamp and bulb manufacturer failed to go off, having had their circuits fried by the intruder. With the authorities in the dark about the crime in progress, the criminally insane mastermind behind the plan worked away in peace.
"Hey! Who are you calling insane?"
Uh...
"I was top of my high school class! A genius! Now let's try that again...or else."
Ahem. With the authorities in the dark about the crime in progress, the, uh, clever genius behind the plan worked away in peace.
"Better."
In spite of her appearance in the almost rubber-looking jumpsuit, battery gloves, large battery strapped to her back, and helmet that bore a very close resemblance to a 2-prong plug she was quite stealthy in her movements. Once a, uh, gifted student her life forever changed when her science project was sabotaged. The malfunctioning static electricity experiment granted Fate Testarossa power over electricity and to some extent electronic devices themselves.
"Yes, soon. Soon you all shall be free from their clutches. I shall free you all from their chains of slavery!"
She had said that the incident also 'opened her eyes' (and fried portions of her brain) to the evils being committed. Using her new found powers, her criminal life began as the super villain-
POOF
"What the?" Her attention is diverted to a cloud of smoke on a pile of crates against the wall. "Who's there?"
"I...am the terror that flaps in the night!" announced a booming voice that echoed in the warehouse.
"Oh god, not you again," she remarked, a palm finding its way to her face.
"I am the internet date that sent you a fake picture!" The smoke began to clear, revealing a masked form. "I am the White Devil!" With the smoke gone, the figure was now visible. She stood with her arms outstretched to hold her white cape open. A white mask around her eyes and nose hid her identity along with a large, wide brim hat with a blue bank around it. To complete the outfit she wore a white, suit-like top and matching skirt.
"Do you really have to do that every time?" she sighed.
"Hey, don't judge until you get better fashion sense, Sparky."
"DON'T CALL ME SPARKY!!" the villain screamed, fist raised in anger. "IT'S MEGAVOLT!!"
"Whatever Sparky. Now give yourself up!"
"ARGH!" Raising her hands, Megavolt fired a jolt of electricity at the flashy hero.
The White Devil yelped in surprise and dove off the crates to dodge the electrical attack. However she had not noticed how high the crates exactly were and thus didn't have time to pull out her gum to slow her decent.
"I got you, W.D.!"
She landed in the waiting arms of the blond below, only to send them both to the ground in a heap.
"Owww...I thought you were going to catch me, Yuuno?"
"I guess I miscalculated?" he sheepishly replied.
"Whatever." She pushed herself to her feet. "I've got bigger fish to fry."
"Oh, something's going to fry alright. You!"
The White Devil dove behind a crate, avoided the electrical discharge. Reaching around her back, she produced her multi-purpose gas pistol. A canister was loaded into its front before she rolled out from behind the crate.
"Suck gas, evildoer!"
She pulled the trigger, launching the cylinder at the villain. Whether deliberately or by luck, it impacted with her face.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Cheap shot!"
It rolled on the ground and released its contents into the air around Megavolt. The smoke screen spread and obscured her view.
"I've got you now!" The white Devil leaped into the cloud of smoke after the villain. "Damn it! Where are you?!" Then realized that she could also not see in the thick smoke. "Come here and fight, you coward!"
She swung randomly, hoping to get lucky and connect with her opponent. Having no luck, she moved deeper into the smoke, turning the swinging with no success. Another punch was made, this one actually connecting with something.
"OW!" Shaking her hand to try and dull the pain, she could just make out the outline of the crate that she just hit. "Stop hiding and fight me, Sparky!"
Her request was quickly met with a discharge of electricity. "Don't call me SPARKY!"
The attack sent her to the ground, the room spinning as her body tried to recover. By the time she got her bearings, she found herself pinned under the foot of her opponent who grinned at her. She also noticed the smoke had mostly dissipated from the area.
"Urg..."
"I've got you now. One extra crispy Devil, coming up!" She held her hand out and began to generate a large charge to send down at the masked hero.
"Hey, MegaDork!"
Megavolt whipped around, losing her concentration on the attack she was about to make. "It's Megavo- Put them down!"
The White Devil blinked at the sudden change in situation and lifted her head off the ground to see who had caught the villain's attention. Several meters away a young girl stood next to an assortment of lamps Megavolt had gathered earlier. In her mind electronics, especially lamps and bulbs, were being 'enslaved' by the human population and it was up to her to 'liberate' them.
"What, you mean this?" The girl picked up a light bulb and turned her mismatched eyes back to the villain.
"Don't you dare harm it!"
"Well," she considered for a moment. "Alright, I won't break it. Here, catch!" With a flick of the wrist she sent the bulb flying through the air.
"Nooo!" Megavolt took off after the flying light bulb, leaving the White Devil free.
She quickly rose to her feet and ran over to the girl. "What are you doing here, Vivio?! I told you to stay in your room!"
"I did. But you never said for how long," she replied with an innocent smile.
"Argh... You and I are going to have a talk after this, young lady."
Setting aside the mother-daughter talk for later, she turned her attention back to her original focus.
"Are you alright? That evil girl didn't hurt her, did she?" cooed Megavolt as she nuzzled the saved light bulb.
"This ends now, Megavolt!"
"The end for you, you mean!" she exclaimed. Running over to a crate, she gently set the bulb down. "Now wait right here. I'll be back in a moment."
The White Devil reached around behind her back, only to find her gas pistol was missing. "My gun! Where is it?"
"W.D.! Catch!" called out Yuuno as he tossed the familiar weapon.
She caught the weapon and loaded a canister. "That's Yuuno! Now..." she she turned back to Megavolt. "Let's get dangerous."
Megavolt launched a volley of electrical attacks at the White Devil. Each were swiftly dodged by the agile hero. "Hold...still!"
The White Devil back-flipped to dodge another attack. "I don't think so. How about you suck gas!" She aimed and fired the canister, this one landing at the feet of her opponent. As it discharged, Megavolt was forced to cover her mouth and nose as she coughed from the smoke.
"Hi-ya!" A flying kick to her stomach sent Megavolt staggering back out, the blow not helping her get her breathing back under control. Another blow came before she could recover, this time a round-house kick to her side. This one sent her rolling across the floor.
"I'm going to get you for that!" she managed to get out between heaves.
"Suuurrre. But I think it's time to wrap this up." The White Devil glanced at Yuuno and gestured somewhere with a tilt of her head. It took the blond a moment before understanding and running towards the location she was pointing to.
"It's time for you to fry!" She raised her hands above her head to charge her next attack.
"Well, if you're going to take me out, I'm not going alone!" The White Devil pulled out a handful of light bulbs.
Megavolt quickly stopped charging her attack. "You fiend! They're innocent!"
"If you say so. Catch!"
Her attention shot up to the flying bulbs. "I'll save you!" She ran forward, arms outstretched to catch the flying objects. One flew farther and she leaped in order to catch it in time. "Ah, there. Got all of you."
"And I got you!" exclaimed the White Devil. "Now, Yuuno!"
Before Megavolt could react, Yuuno slammed the activation button of the machinery. It was then she noticed that she had landed on some kind of rotating platform. Several arms swooped down as the platform spun, encasing the villain's body in several layers of plastic wrap. The now dizzy and bound Megavolt tipped over as the platform stopped, rolling across the floor.
"Urg...make the ride stop mommy..."
The White Devil dusted her hands off. "Yeep. Another evil plot foiled yet again by the White Devil."
"With some help, of course," added in Vivio.
"Hey I didn't ask for your help. I was doing just fine on my own."
"Sure," she rolled her eyes.
"Bah, c'mon. Let's get get outta here Yuuno, Vivio."
"Sure thing, W.D. Shall I call the authorities?" asked Yuuno.
"Yea. Oh, and let them know that I'm sorry I didn't have time to put on a ribbon and bow for them." She trio walked off only for her to pause for a moment.

Spoiler for My reaction:
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm not sure what it says about me that I was thinking "Megavolt" before you explicitly pointed out the parody, but...heh, that was great!

Haruko smiled as she read it, Haruko typed SMS to Chikane and send it, she flipped close and put it on her nightstand.

Wow, you're updating very fast, I hope that I can keep up with your pace.
Time for some constructive criticism: my English is far to be perfect, but I think you're making many typos per chapter, so maybe you can try checking them before uploading the chapters here if you can update this often. A concurrent mistake that you're doing is using "there" instead of "their" ("there" denotes a place, while "their" denotes belongings). Also, I think you're repeating the character's name too much, maybe it would be better if you replace them more often with pronouns or adjectives + nouns.
And as a random note: thanks to your fic I just learned what "wove" means o_O

The fic isn't about a beetle xD But I think the atmosphere that scene transmit was great to set up the story. At least the author got my attention with her beautiful description of the scene, and I'm not an author, but I think she writes very, very well ^^
Thanks for giving it a chance, Sa-nyan, I didn't expect you to take your time doing that since you have always said that you prefer to write rather than to read (and it's not that me, as your reader, will be complaining for that xD).
